I'm part of a neighborhood CERT group so I buy up old polcoe scanners to give out to members of the group to use in emergencies and I have a handful of the old 10 channel pro-38 type scanners that I've been repairing and maintaining over the years. I use them quite often actually as state police where I live still used analog. That and the analog state and federal interop freqencies are what I program into the older scanners. Tandy, the leather company, actually made police scanners back in the day (on one of the scanners in your video you can see "Tandy corporation" on the bottom) and in fact they made the Tandy 1000, one of the very first PCs.
