- Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved seven stranded castaways like me
Created originally for the 10/25/20 zoom church service of Leisure World Community Church of Seal Beach.
This is the first time Iv heard amazing grace from start to finish
Same here😂
Silly buggers. WAY back in 84, my music-major/chorus fiance informed me that this could be done. I went looking for it on UA-cam today, nigh 40 years later, and here it is.... :)
It works surprisingly well, & I don't just mean the melody; somehow the words seem to reflect the video's content.
What is Gilligan's Island if not an extended allegory for the story of Jonah?
I have a great belief that even GOD would like this song just as much as I do...okay
The background goes remarkably well with the words
Learned this in Sunday school back in the 90s. I've never not been able to hear it since.
I love rhis!
Sounds like a shanty. Good stuff!
On my gosh 🙂 This was so well produced and beautifully sung 🤗 I cannot believe how wonderfully this works 😇 Great job, Zoran Duke Rausavlijevich 👏
This is peak 2008 UA-cam but it’s 2020/2021
I know! That's why I love it.
Great one to sing, Excellent one, lads! Way to go, this rocks!
A gift
This is incredible.
This just works.
I love it! And so true.
The converse can be done, also. Sing the Gilligan's Island lyrics to the Amazing Grace tune:
_Just sit right back_
_and you'll hear a tale..._
I'll share this with friends who needs an uplift and laughter. GREAT JOB, SIR!
I hope you do God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen in the tune of Gillian's Island. The sooner you do this, the sooner I hear this.
Fun!! ❤
This song was written about Grace Kelly. True story
Loooooooove 😘
I swear, I remember part of a movie where; A guy had a dream he answered a phone call, it was his voice singing this from the other end of the line!! What movie was that?!?!
Very good loved it and the message
Well done
My dad taught me to do this when I was a child. Anybody know why this was a thing?
It's a thing , because the characters on Gilligan's isle each represented a deadly sin ; Gilligan = Sloth , Skipper = wrath , the wealthy couple = greed and gluttony , Ginger and Mary Ann = Lust and Envy , and the Professor = Pride . Yearning to be Saved , their only hope , God's Amazing Grace . R. K. B.
Wow
WOW, great job.👍
The boat used as the S.S. Minnow in Gilligans Island was a 1964 Wheeler with a cruising speed of 12 knots which means that they could not have traveled more than 41.5 miles. Now I am starting to doubt if the show was even real.
Lmao. But the storm probably could have carried them around faster than the ship could actually travel. I'm just guessing.
Cool.
I love it
This is genius. 👏👍😁
*bows* wow!!
🙋🏿♀️ Wasn't the man who wrote Amazing Grace a Captain of a slave ship? If that's true then that makes sense.
So you're comparing Gilligan's Island to a slave ship?
"John Newton was an English evangelical Anglican cleric and slavery abolitionist. He had previously been a captain of slave ships and an investor in the slave trade. He served as a sailor in the Royal Navy (after forced recruitment) and was himself enslaved for a time in West Africa." ------ people change. He became an abolitionist.
Ummm...but where's the part about the Professor and Mary Ann?

Is Covid vaccine fda approved
Perhaps you might try I'd like to teach the world to sing to the Gilligan's Island tune
PLEASE please DON'T
@@PURPLE.REIGN.1999 Do you have a problem with this? That is none of your lousy beeswax!
A lot of singe and poems were written in what's called "common meter" - alternating lines of eight and six syllables, with emphasis on every second syllable -- which is why this works so well for so many pieces. "Yellow Rose of Texas" and Emily Dickinson's poems also work.
Because I could not stop for Death/
He kindly stopped for me/
The coach contained none but ourselves/
And immortality/
I've heard it existed but this is actually real ha ha
Ted Cruz being accused of being the Zodiac killer brought me here.
No Ginger? No Mary Ann? :)
😊😂🤣🤣🤣✌
This is abomination to my childhood I used to watch this TV show I respect the actors that played there my favorite was the millionaire this is wrong man stop this now leave the classics alone
:-D
He just having fun
@@ZDuke423 You did great man, some people just don’t understand how to laugh and have a good time. Thanks for the smile you gave me and I hope you have a good day!
The "Millionaire" was played by film and TV actor Jim Backus who voiced the cartoon character, Mr. Magoo. He provided a lot of laughter and entertainment. Backus also played James Dean's father in "Rebel Without a Cause."
Relax. The classics are still there.
This is so wrong.
Ha! Yes. So wrong, and so right. Just pick any poem and any song melody that conforms to a couplet with an iambic 86.86 meter and have fun switching.
But better than the original song because it’s getting a wholesome message across
