Daiya vegan cheese has seriously upped their game! I tried their four cheese vegan pizza last and I'm very picky like you and omg it literally tasted like pizza before I went vegan! !! I'm so glad!

That walking tamale looked promising. Kinda excited about the Ritter if there’s any dark chocolate 🍫 available. I’m not a huge snacker, but every now and then something will catch my taste buds.
A few of the existing Ritter sport bar flavors are accidentally vegan, including some of the dark chocolate ones as well as the marzipan!
This chocolate is crazy incredible!
From my experience a lot of vegan plant based Asian inspired snacks are really yuck if they were not made by Asians. Non Asians don't comprehend the super nuances of flavors. They just throw something together and call it Malay or what ever else. But it tastes like cardboard doused with soy sauce, chili power and sugar hahahahahaha. Oh, plus they are super over priced.
She said you can't heat the pack of tamales over a fire lol. You could put the pack in boiling water hahahahahahaha !!!
I tried the bean salsa habanero walking tamale last week and was surprised at how good it was too. Wasn't expecting much spice but it actually lived up to habanero. Can't wait to see you try the tofutown items!

if you can get your hands on it where you live my all time favourite vegan jerky is "Vegeterian Mushroom Jerky (Hot)" by Tai Sun. Its from Taiwan and its delicious in my opinion, highly recommend!

Most of the products in that box are actually from Ocean State Job Lot!! They have some wicked cool products and I’ve seen the hu bites, the jerky and the protein powder packets there
Also the products at OSJL are usually close out so they can sometimes be lower quality or stale so that might have been the case with the chocolate.
Maybe that jerky company is using ripe jackfruit instead of green? I wonder if the Rain Forest Alliance frog thing is a social media conspiracy theory? [sigh] Enjoyed watching you sample these things, because you're a good sport and try to be fair, which helps us to figure out whether we should bother looking for these things, ourselves. Thanks for posting!

Usually it's foodtown, trader joes, or whole foods. And sometimes brands send me things to try.

I have never been a huge fan of Ritter Sport chocolates (always a Lindtt girl) but the more vegan chocolate in the market (and Ritter makes more flavours!) the better, no doubt :D Also, I am glad despite the poor start you actually got to try so many tasty products in July!

Those mint nibs are strong for me.. wonder if what happened to them messed with the flavor a bit. Try them how they are meant to.. I found mine at an ocean state job lot idk if those exist in NYC but they also picked up the jerky sticks you like so you can grab a few goodies from there if you wanted next time you travel near one.

If you cook the wholy veggie cheese sticks to long they explore. It happened to me. I want to try the walking tamale. Hope I see it somewhere here. Ritter's chocolate looked so creamy 🤤 thanks for the reviews

Rebecca, I love the Wholly Cauliflower Bites/Wings. I, too Cook them longer & Dip into the Sauce❤ I, still haven't tried " HU" Chocolates as I, always forget when Shopping. I'm curious if the Seitan will be good? It would be nice for another option for Wraps, Bowls, Burritos & Salad especially because " Uptons" in My Area, is non existent. Yet I, haven't looked at Spouts lately. Those Walking Tameles look interesting I'll have to try them. FYI, a few other protein powders that use Perfect Day are out there if you are interested. They have been out for a couple years i think and vary in flavor and price. One is by California Performance Co and the other is by MyProtein.

But wait. With the “vegan” dairy stuff…wouldn’t that still have all the bad things in it that regular dairy has? Like the animal protein and animal fat which have been proven to increase risk of heart disease and cancer and diabetes. Which is why for health reasons you don’t want to eat dairy or meat or eggs.
I don’t get the whole vegan dairy stuff. Who’s it for? Vegans presumably would rather stay away and animal eaters probably think it’s weird.
Dr T Colin Campbell for example talks about the negative effects of animal fats and animal proteins.
Yes! it has most of the features of regular dairy. (but it is lactose free) But I think its pretty neat. I know many non-vegans that would prefer it over regular dairy because maybe they have a lactose allergy/sensitivity or they want a more convenient way to cause less animal harm. Vegans might consume it because they just want something nostalgic to eat and they dont care about the health bit or they aren't affected by dairy much. Me personally, Id eat it occasionally but not often because dairy does affect me a little.
