I always enjoy seeing how other people have their stuff setup. Yours isn't that much different then mine. I too use the Zowie and really miss having my med-bag and revive on the mouse scroll wheel! Was such a nice setup IMHO.
Great tips there. Although I've playing BF for a long time now, and not quite bad imo, I'm always searching for posibilities to improve. Your vid made me try out the uniform soldier thing and the not changing fov while ads. That are both things that I've encountered a lot of times while researching, but I never had tried it out because I thought it would provide me with a lot of disadvantages for my playstyle. But I have to admit, that those two options are great, once you get the hang on it. You encouraged me to try it out, due the fact, I realized we both have similar sensitivities. Thanks for that. It helped me with other FPS, as well. Another thing, that helped, was your key bindings. While I have already spend a lot of time with optimizing my key bindings, I never had the idea to use the mouse wheel scrolling for keybindings, as well. xD Especially, due the fact that I never use the inventory scrolling, because it's aaaaannooooooying. Great vid. Thx
when I change the game and try to put the same sensitivity it always happens that the sensitivity of the viewfinder is higher than what I was used to but in other games I cannot change it. I keep the sensitivity of the viewfinder on bf4 at 100% but for other games it is too low but by now I'm used to that. How do I change the sensitivity of the viewfinder in other games where it could not be changed?
Network smoothing factor is/should be depended on the person's connection. People with higher ping should raise it slightly to counter the ping latency. Normally I have mine set at 10% with 40-70ping to servers. Having it at 0% could cause issues with bullets going through targets and not registering. Some people don't have that problem at all and set it to 0%, it's depends on the person.
So did u noticed any difference with unform soldier aming on with sniper rifles to be exact with 8 and 6 times scope, than if u leave it off? I tried it aout myself but i wasnt sure if there is a difference at all...so i though it doesnt effect 6 and 8 times scopes...but would be nice to hear ur opinion about it or ur experience.... Thanks
Hey Boogly could you please count how long do you need for a 360 degree turn ? i need approximately 4s while aiming down sights. since yesterday i play on 115% for sights .15 % for hip fire which is slow but to have same sensitivity for both i should play on 125% which is to fast for me . Do you ever played shooter on console and give me an advise for a good balanced sensitivity?
Thanks for posting this. This is one of the better customization vids I seen and I like your reasoning behind why you have your settings. BF4 was/is the first online FPS I had ever played. I sucked bad at first but got better and eventually leveled off at around a 300 skill lvl. I have been looking for any edge I could get to increase my skill. Against the better players I seem to lose fights with them under 10 health. I applied your settings with a few tweaks for my playstyle last night and noticed an immediate improvement. One of the biggest differences was changing my audio to the war tapes setting instead of the default surround. I got a much truer direction on my enemies and thus was more prepared. Anyways thanks for the vid and here is my BL report from my first round after applying the new settings (Kode): battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/1/572936029246336896/953108140/
Boogly if your on a laptop, does unparking make your computer overheat? I've been wanting to do this but a lot of people have been telling me that it makes their PC seem to explode.
Providence PvP It increased my temps a very small amount, but I am on a fully built desktop PC. I believe if you remember what core(s) were parked, you can repark then. That might help.
boogly_oglly Ok, makes sense...if you want any basic advice since it seems your just starting out, give me a shout or I can pop in to your ts..will make it easier for you in comp
+Kaan Ozbozkurt DPI either 400 or 800 (1600/1800 if you want really high sense) but I only recommend the first two (either is fine, no "advantage" for one or the other)
Obviously, you don't have the ability to adjust most of the settings, but things like the HUD and screen adjust you can. Along with that I believe you can set your network smoothing factor on console (along with high freq update)... and with that I can't really help you (settings wise) it would be in your best benefit to wait for my other guides (tactics, routes, weapon loadouts) to help you progress further. The issue is, I still need to make those D:

I have to thank you for recommending uniformed soldier aiming. I've tried it for a few games now and it already feels a lot better!

Ahhhh... the stuttering is real! *I tried*...

Thanks for puttin this out there - but yea, try setting mesh to high or ultra if your GPU can handle it - you'll spot players much further away.
i suggest you put mesh quality on high at least cos it makes enemy outline more visible and it allows you to spot enemyies at farther ranges
Great Video! Thanks Boogly!
I'm set at 800 dpi and 10 percent wich is abt 28cm /360 but I'm going to try a few settings, thanks for the video !
good video the user file is very helpful .
my dpi was 1500, i guess it because i have never had much room on my desk.
Can you post your render setts as well if you haven't already?
i cant find the network smoothing factor. Where is it?
Henry Briggs It has been removed I think, I tried finding it after this patch
boogly_oglly it still there just really low down on the list
Thanks for sharing! That 64 FOV was surprising tho (usually ppl set it to 84-90 with calculator)

Nice! Happy to help :)
how about on foot setting?
Hey, boogly, are you having any issues with battlefield after the winter patch? apart from the in-game bugs.. crashes?
Nope, I've had improve hit detection which is very nice
Boogly if your on a laptop, does unparking make your computer overheat? I've been wanting to do this but a lot of people have been telling me that it makes their PC seem to explode.
idk about laptops
Oh okay does it effect a pc tho? At least for u?

Did you give up with the Assault Rifle Guide?
Kinda, I still plan to do SOMETHING but not sure... maybe a top 5
boogly_oglly That Sucks. I was really excited for that video.
Nice vid and nice stream last night, let me join you guys next time i'm on :D I been playing a lot of csgo lately
We don't want people to raise the ranks much, oglly and I are bad and want to learn without being completely destroyed
boogly_oglly Ok, makes sense...if you want any basic advice since it seems your just starting out, give me a shout or I can pop in to your ts..will make it easier for you in comp
İF i change vertical fov to 85 what dpi should i use?

Do you have in windows mouse precision on or off?
+Milou Mets I have it off (it says precision but it means the exact opposite)
what are your computer specs at the time of this video?
i7 4790k
gtx 970
16gb ram
250gb ssd
THX BOOGLY
locking FPS is not an issue for us G-sync kids ;) nice vid =)
Haha yea, I didn't cover everything cuz I kept messing up so I didn't go super indepth as to mention mesh quality or vsync or other things :/
I want to see Oogly's jet tutorial
He has one on his channel
Whats the point of having those high pc specs and playing with low settings?
144hz monitors, so that it doesn't drop below 144hz no matter what.
Nice video :)
I need 34 cm for 360*
Don't judge pc users! But what should I do for ps4?
Obviously, you don't have the ability to adjust most of the settings, but things like the HUD and screen adjust you can.

Unpark CPU is useless if you use High Performance power option!
Do a face reveal like you did on Twitch, babycakes
12.25 cm 360 ftw
Boogly only started utube to prove he doesn't hack
JK
Are you kidding me.. I move my mouse around 2cm and I can see behind me.. I also use mouse acceleration.
I used to run 80cm/360

Very informative, would give it 2 likes if I could, thank you ;)
