I just want to say you have inspired me to start collecting as a hobby. I collect rare and discontinued soda and energy drink cans now and I love it so far. Thank you for the inspiration.
That is incredible. Joy in the simplest way is best for me. I collect vintage ballpoint pens. I just scored a first year (1954) Parker Jotter. Such pleasant memories of sorting through my grandfather's desk drawer as a curious (perhaps annoyingly so?) young child. He had a drawer full of Jotters.
@ OakJex - who would be the lightweight champion of what you would call this ASMR topic ? It was about in 1957 or so, whereas the Iconic Arrow was designed somewhere in the early 1930’s by Joseph Platt, who at that time was a prominent designer of the famous Parker arrow which was allegedly inspired by Kenneth Parker’s passion for the times of revolutionary transportation and the advancement within the aviation industry . It was originally first featured as a clip on the Vacumatic pen, it symbolized Parker’s pioneering attitude. Around 1957, it became the brand’s iconic emblem and it was later evolved in 2015 to match the brand’s modern high standards of sophistication and of course luxury, which has apparently vanished from the production of so many other products.
I grew up with Parker jotters in my house. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but I remember using them all the time. This video helped me recall that memory. I wish I still had them now that I have all this information about them. I'll be looking for them now at estate sales and such. I want to find the older ones.Thank you!
I do adore your pen videos. Full of interest and relaxation. I would quite enjoy a full cleaning video for your pens, the precise methodology etc of how you clean them. Would be awesome.
the green pen with the cube, was shaped like the ones they have in banks, here in england. always chained to the counter on the right side, so a nightmare for left handers like me. been watching you since day one really. other asmr artists have fallen by the wayside. but still subscribed to you. easily the best
I have a parker pencil that has made in USA is dark blue in color. What is unusual is the clip doesn't have the typical arrow. Instead it is sort of a concave type that has no adornments. I also have a typical parker pencil that is made in USA and is gray in color. Both were pre-owned and were sold as "vintage".
I own the Parker XL. It feels heavy. It is much more comfortable with a rubber gripper. 👍👀😀 I purchased it because it was a pen I used in my childhood. 👍 They are durable.
Mr R i just wanted to say thank you, thank you for just being yourself and for your relaxing videos, it just helps a lot :) btw i hope you have many, many more marbles in your jar :)
Hey there!! I LOVE my Dryden Pen from amazon. I got the blue one (my favorite color) about a year ago, but that green is gorgeous! Another pen that has become a huge favorite of mine is the Wordsworth and Black from amazon. I ordered the medium nib, and I absolutely love it. Never skips, or dries! Thanks again for the videos!
@@durnham just because you've seen others doing it, doesn't mean it's not wrong. as much as I would like such videos, it is against the copyright laws.
I just bought one a week ago, and it is all metal even the threads inside are metal. And it says France on mine. The pen came in a looked to be old blister packaging . It said made in FRANCE 2021. I guess I got lucky because alot of people on a popular website are receiving these pens from China or India. I had a regular Parker Jotter a long time ago and was not a fan of it's skinny body. And the XL still seems to be skinny. I have the Matte black. Mine is probably more slippery than the one you received. I wish they had some kind of indiscreet rubberized area where you grip the pen from being somewhat slippery to me. Thanks for your time and teaching us things and making us wiser.
The royal bits mean the pens are endorsed/used by the royal family. That seal appears on all kinds of things in the uk, from ketchup to pens! Basically means the Queen likes it =)
Have you tried the Dryden fine nib fountain pen on watercolor paper for line work? As always, thank you for your channel. So calming. Have you ever thought about making a video focused on listening rather than watching? I always listen with a sleep mask on and would love to just listen to just about anything you would like to talk about without having to lift my mask because I just have to see what you're talking about ☺️
Really enjoyed the green item focus of the video! I've been wondering if you're still keeping up with your aquarium and if you'd be willing to make an update video on the topic? Love your content either way!
I've been watching for a long time now and I see that you have a lovely collection of pens I thought it would be cool if you mqde a video on a 3d printing pen!
The IN is the date code its a 2019 3rd quarter, date codes use the phrase quality pen and repeats every ten years also the quarter of the year is either III, II, I, or no marking for the 4th quarter

I’ve been watching your content for years, and based on some of the matchbooks you have, I think we live in the same area. Also, I’m pretty sure I heard your voice on the local NPR station.
Very nice video. I always struggle with liking the colour green. It is the colour of nature but in plastic that is something different. As for the royal references it used to mean that they made the product for the Queen or family. (I am Canadian so we used to hear of it from time to time) It sounded odd in those words but I guess that is what is meant. Unfortunately, I am still very awake. Since you might read this may I ask, what do you write so often? I rarely write anymore, all writing now is typing on the computer or phone. In any case, my writing is so atrocious that I can hardly read it.
I got all the colours but as u rightly stated the pen has become fatter.... The plastic barrel n the top as well causing discomfort and the refill does not fit the old ones...
100 comments made, and to think I’m 101, the odd ball in or out. What is the lifespan of a ballpoint bic pen, why do they dry out so fast? Any solutions to lengthen there lifespans?
I can die happy if in one video he says
"Welcome all to pen island"
Not sure why you would "skip" things in a RelaxingASMR video but thanks for the options.
I skipped to have a look at the pen. If I didn't skip it I would have definitely fallen asleep
So many years, still such great quality. Thanks man.

I will forever be curious as to what this man looks like
I'm imagining spiraling rainbow light with tiny unicorns gallopping out of his eyes.
i know it's part of his mystique but i imagine he looks like the uncle we all wish we had.
Hell, I’d love just to know his name
Does he not just look like his profile picture? Are you telling me this man is NOT a dog in a human disguise?
@@lincmerc1581- I would guess that is correct . Oh and necklaces of pens clicking gently aa he sways to the unicorn dance ....

It's miraculous that the W.C.Fritos pencil topper isnt stiffened to stone-like consistency after so long.

So excited to listen/watch tonight. Hope you've been well, Relaxing ASMR! Thanks as always ☺️

These pen videos of yours are fascinating. Especially when the magnifying glass comes out. Always interesting content!
I’m digging the new outro that you’ve been using lately. Perfect way to finish off a nice video.
This video inspired me to collect every color of Parker Jotter. I have 10 now 😊

What is the music you use at the end of your videos? It intrigues me and I don't know the name of it.

A little disapointing that the "XL" is only a few hairs bigger considering it costs twice as much as a regular jotter. Great video though!
RelaxingASMR: i got these new parker XL!
Me using a normal bic pen who nobody cares about: Noice :D👍
I have a Parker Jotter GT made in France with the date code II
I always feel like I've learned something from your videos, usually pen related, so I can't wait to hear what you have to say in this one :)

Fun fact you can replace parker jotter or any pens that have parker style ink cartridge with a Fisher space pen ink cartridge
I'd like to find a Platinum Plaisir in aquamarine. I like their nib sealing cap.
Did you use the ink that comes with the Dryden pen or did you fill it up with your own?
IN is India. Luxor makes pens under license from Parker.
