Hey everyone, few things I need to clear up regarding this video:
1. You can fast from anything. Ask the Holy Spirit and He will guide you to what you should fast from, I can only make a suggestion. ❤️
Your journey with Christ is personal, so if it’s something you know you shouldn’t be doing then more than likely you should be fasting from it so that God can remove it and transform you.
2. Thank you all for the corrections, you would not technically “fast” from gossiping as I mentioned in the video. You would repent and ask God to help you stop gossiping. But what I meant was that if someone calls you TO gossip, then you would pretty much stop communicating with them during the fast, which suggests you would be fasting from it. I know most of us has someone in our life that will call or come to work gossiping about something or someone, so it’s just a matter of not giving them the opportunity to do so. But I do understand how confusing that could have been so I apologize.
3. Some of you have also mentioned that it would mean lying to someone about fasting if confronted about it. By definition, a diet is “A diet is the food and drink that a person or animal typically eats, or the type and amount of food eaten for a specific purpose.” So technically, fasting is a dietary regime or restriction which falls into that.
Fasting from 6 AM to 6 PM is technically considered Intermittent Fasting, which would fall in a dietary regime (I know because I regularly do it for health reasons and not necessarily for spiritual fasting).
So, in my opinion, I believe that is a valid answer if someone, who may be an unbeliever and just wants to know your business and not genuinely concerned for your wellbeing, is asking about you eating less or none at all.
Again, always ask God and the Holy Spirit for discernment as this is only a suggestion.
My apologies once again, as I wasn’t expecting this video to blow up as much as it did. I was also dealing with a lot this day and walked out of the hospital room to make this video before it got dark so I was not prepared and just speaking from the heart.

Just a slight correction in regards to tell others about fasting. It is okay to actually inform others that you are simply put fasting, but moreso never to boast or glorify it because it's sacred devotion and revelation and releasing with the Most High so the glory is given to him. But you can inform persay because I don't think being dishonest is recommended either
Esther fast is for your family and loved ones… Esther fasted so her uncle and family would not be killed ❤but yes going on Esther fast will give you clarity too ❤❤❤😊 and you cannot fast from ungodliness, like gossiping and over use of social media… you repent from those things, fasting is abstaining from food to get closer to God… hope this helps y’all

This is for me.. I asked God to place my hand inside the Bible where he wanted me to read and I had to giggle bc it was the Esther chapter and right then and there I knew He was telling me to fast! Ufff it’s rough especially since I haven’t done it in over 2 years. I did Esther fasts once a month back then to be set free from a toxic family bondage situation

No food or water is not the only way of fasting! You can fast from anything that takes your attention away from the Lord! If you ever feel like he’s convicted you of something, that could be what you could fast from.
Just some examples: being vain (caring about appearance too much, so limiting doing hair and makeup and just being natural) or listening to secular or carnal music (fasting from all music except gospel). Things like that.

I did mines and just finished 😮. So crazy how I was not hungry at all the whole 72 hours cause I asked the Holy Spirit for strength. Now I’m back eating I’m experiencing diarrhoea cause got used to not having any food😅😂.

Well don’t lie. If someone asks if you are fasting you could keep it quiet or tell the truth. As long as the fast isn’t to boast to others, you can reveal it if you are pressed about it. Otherwise don’t say anything. As a child of God be honest, don’t lie.
Don't lie to people either when you re fasting if they ask you why you are not eating just tell them right now no, or I don't want to eat right now, or later or I m okay thank you...
If you re fasting for spiritual benefit you re not on diet
Lying can break your fast
But if you really do it for diet benefit too, like you believe it in your heart it is okay👌
I live with my parents so I think I won't be able to do full day(24hr fast) is it okay if I do it for 6am to 6pm??? Also can I tell my sister that I'm on fast because I don't want my parents to find out im not eating.... ?? I'm really new to this please help!

@@NiaJ144the Bible emphasizes do not boast or show off to people that you are fasting or act like/show you are struggling to draw attention ... You can tell people especially if you are with them in your household, they will obviously notice lol. And you cannot lie to them either (sinful) just so you can come up with an excuse for your not eating.
The caution against telling people was a message to those people in the biblical times who would go out publicly in the streets to attract attention that they are fasting. You can tell your family especially so that they leave you alone and don't force you to eat or think that you are sick or something.
Here is some context from an article "Matthew 6:16-18
"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do... your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
In Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus encourages His followers to avoid making a show of their fasting. Instead, He instructs us to fast in secret. Importantly, this does not mean that we cannot tell anyone we are fasting. The Bible offers many instances in which people fast in the context of community (see Ezra 8:21-23), and that necessarily means it wasn’t an entirely secret endeavor.
Ultimately, the heart of Jesus’ message in Matthew 6:16-18 is that fasting is about humility. It leaves no room for bragging about how much we have given up for God, and it leaves no room for endlessly complaining about our sacrifice. Fasting should inspire humility within us and remind us what God has done on our behalf! It should be our joy to surrender even the smallest details of our lives before Him, trusting that He will meet us where we are. "

When we are fasting and refraining from social media and alcohol as well is it during the fasting hours like 6am-6pm (like for food & water) or during the whole fast period (3-7 days)?….Or is it a personal preference? 🤔

There is no "alreration". An "Esther" fast is a dry fast. If that's what God instructed then that's what you do.

This has been in my spirit but what does Esther fast consist of and how do I do it do you not eat or drink at all for 3 days or what ?
No food or drink for 3 days.
So I already broke it because I been drinking water all day smh
But the no food no water is the only way we fast. Its the original way of fasting. This water fasting stuff and eating while fasting is not a fast. Unless you are on medication or have any health issues.
The no food and water fast will change your life in so many ways. It's giving up what you know you need for a greater purpose, sacrificing for God.
The Daniel fast is an official fast - light foods, only vegetables and no meat. Angels literally visited Him and God heard his prayers.
Originaly it was a consecration's time, abstein yourself from things that can contaminate your body and still eating other thing light... But calling it a fast it is ok ( but what the user is saying it s true too) and it is the disposition of the heart and what you are really looking for from God and What the Spirit of the Lord communicate you to do
