Hi Vanity, I went on a 21 day fast last year August. I was led to pray for healing. At the end of my fasting my husband was diagnosed with kidney failure which even the doctors were shocked that he was still alive(both kidneys). God saved my husband. God is faithful. He was admitted into ICU and we are trusting God to fully restore his health.

I’ve tried fasting before, but was never fully successful. Most recently I tried a few months ago. Lately, I’ve been praying & praising God & I felt led to fast. Even though I was never successful in the past, I was obedient & with no hesitation or preparation I began. Just asking God to change my heart & get rid of my addictions. I’m on day 2 & I already have some clarity. I’m doing good. I will continue praying, praising & reading
So one time a few weeks ago I took a nap near the end of a fast. I woke up on my couch and I was exhausted ! Which is normal because when you go to sleep starving you wake up feeling sooo weak and fragile.. like it was bad. I just laid there for like 3 minutes just in my head wanting to get up but having no strength to. AND i was still a bit tired from the nap. Without realizing it, my eyes slowly closed and I was bout to drift to another deep sleep. But then all of a sudden my eyes slowly in the same way open back up and I feel my strength coming back to me !!! I was able to get up and get a bag of chips for energy. That was definitely Jesus!! God is saying that My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” - 2 Corinthians 12:9. Where it is hopeless and dark , God will certainly fulfill his promises as He always does and lift us up. Reader, He will help you. Have faith and wait on the Lord !

I’m just coming off of my 3 Day Esther water fast. Hunnie it was tough but amazing all at the same time. God is a keeper and that’s all I will say. Ohh and I’ll say this, it will definitely bring you closer to God. Wait, here is another thing, although God is not mentioned in the book of Esther, God used her in a mighty good way! @@_msvanity I have to be honest. I’m having trouble reading Esther’s story. It’s kind of mirroring today’s times and thousands of people being murdered and tortured because she fasted. We serve a loving God. And that doesn’t sound to loving. Those innocent people who had nothing to do with Hamans plan had to die? It doesn’t sit right with me.
I’m praying I can do this. 24 hours into my Esther fast. It’s July 4th. And all I smell is American bbq everything. 😩. Bad choice of day. But I have 2 more days to go. To break a lot of things of me. I just received a letter from my landlord and instead of opening the envelope i lifted it up to God and i am starting tomorrow Esther fasting to dedicate everything it to Gods hand so that god can give me wisdom knowledge and understand.
I’ve been getting the urge to fast for a couple of weeks now and its been a slow process to get me to do it but God has been speaking to me that its time. Made the decision to start but wasn’t sure how many days to do it, my initial thought was 10 days, then I kept seeing videos on 40 day fasts, and did extensive research on that. I kept coming across videos on the Esther fast but never clicked on them. As I couldn’t decide, I ultimately came to the conclusion that during the fast I will know when I’m ready to break it. Last night I picked up my bible for the first time and intended on reading it before bed but for some reason put it off. I woke up this morning at 4am, without hesitation I picked it up and started reading the Old Testament. Looking for some answers on my situation, I closed the book, asked God to show me a page I needed to see. I kid you not I opened the book to Esther chapter 3 and read it. That was my answer, to fast for 3 days. I am blown away and excited to officially start my fast (no food or water) starting tomorrow. I’ve begun fasting from food yesterday but keep picking up this horrible habit (vaping) and will not count yesterday or today as part of my fast. Excited to get closer to God and hopefully kick these bad habits in the process. Thanks for this video!

Somedays I feel so overwhelmed in my journey. I feel as if I’m constantly doing things backwards…I did the Esther fast 2 days and I completed it, but I did realize I did not pray as much, however I did rely on God strength to fight my flesh from eating…I’ll probably do the fast over so I can pray more..😔 I keep telling myself God’s timing not mine.
It's easy to get overwhelmed for sure but at the end of the day God does not expect perfection. We live day to day in between two decisions, feeding our flesh and feeding our spirit. We do our best to feed our spirit and stay aligned and the times that we do [ because we WILL ] what God cares about is repentance. Just simply turning away from whatever just separated you and got you out of alignment from God. Our entire existence will be that balance! And enjoying the journey.
Excellent , excellent excellent , that you saw it's not just about "not" eating and drinking but while doing it you have to draw close to God really talking to him taking your time through prayer it's hard just keep trying to improve . Two days is excellent like once a month

I’m starting my 3 day water fast I will be juicing early in the morning before 7 am my start time to get my nutrients for the day because I tend to get headaches when I fast off food but I need this fast because loneliness and lust are a problem and I know I need God to intervene and restore my faith that he has someone for me and that all I need is go
Just do 2 days no food or water like once a month to start out and take your time praying a lot just asking God to take the lust and excitement for sex out of your heart I still struggle with the same thing after 30 yrs of fasting . Do not have to start out doing three days and nights no food or water unless you make a Vow to God to fast for three days then you have to .

I attempted to start fasting today doing the Esther fast but I wasn’t praying and really into it like that and all I knew was we weren’t suppose to eat or drink for 3 days. Will do! Just want to share that today is my last day, but on my second day in the evening I felt like giving up due to the heavy attacks I was experiencing the entire day. I decided to called a friend and she encouraged me not to give in.

@@biblebill6206 nope. There are all kinds of fast. I have done a three partial days fast 6-1 and got my breakthrough on the fourth day. I did a one day fast, from 6 am till about 5 pm and received my answer the same night. What works for others may not be for you.

Hello!!! 🤍We are at the end of your fast. Congrats!! I have never seen that movie so I can’t provide context. Esther and her people did an absolute fast which was no water no food.
Some basic simple points . You do not have to do three days and nights no food or water unless you made a "Vow" to God to do three days and nights . Beginners should start out like one day 24hrs or 2 days 48 hrs like say once a month is a good practice for however many months you choose to . Also, very important to drink good bit of cold spring water "right before" fast !!! . Common sense .

Exactly the whole point of fasting is your letting go of the physical [ food water ] to draw closer to God through lots of praying to overcome wrong desires , problems , addictions .
You don't fast so much as to get something but to have God give you extra help with something your struggling with a problem , desire , addiction it's to let go of the physical and get more spiritual by giving up food water and praying a lot while on the fast to get closer to God .
Great video! I've tried the Esther fast numerous time. I agree to disagree with you on your last statement. You don’t just starve yourself. Fasting has numerous benefits for your body, even without prayer. There are plenty of scientific studies showing how fasting supports your body in self-healing and disease prevention. Doctors now recommend fasting as well. Fasting not only provides spiritual benefits but also aids in your body's healing and rebuilding processes during the fast.
Correct! Fasting has a lot of physical benefits. There is fasting and there is praying. If you are fasting and praying out of obedience to God you cannot do one without the other. If you are fasting without devotion to God, you are just starving yourself because there is a lack of intention. If you decide you want to do a fast for physical benefits then you are not fasting and praying, it just a regular fast.
It provides spiritual benefits if you let go of the physical and use the fast to "pray" a lot talk about your problems what your struggling with . The whole point of fasting is to draw closer to God when on the fast through taking your time and praying .
The reason it's so hard is the body's made up of roughly 65% water . You do not have to do three days unless you made a Vow to do three days , try 2 days like once a month is a good practice

So by mistake I thought RUTH had the fast. So I listened to a video about Ruth. And don’t ya know that person said the SAME EXACT THING-about RUTH being the ONLY book in the Bible that doesn’t DIRECTLY & OUT RIGHT mention God. I found that to be interesting. THE ONLY 2 books named after women actually don't mention God but how The Spirit of God is working through PEOPLE. Also, maybe we should stop saying things like "it's the only book in the Bible that…"cause clearly that's not always true. But thank you for this video🙏🏾
Ruth 1:6 “The Lord blesses the people of Judah with good crops” Ruth opens up with the mentioning of our Lord. Another example, After Ruth returns from Boaz's field, Naomi tells her, "Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not failed in His kindness to the living or to the dead!" I can’t speak for other people but as mentioned in my video, I was reading directly out of my study Bible. Per the study Bible, Historians say Esther is the only book where there is no mention of Gods name. As I always suggest, always make sure to read scripture by yourself, for yourself and let the Holy Spirit minister it to you how it seems fit in ya’lls relationship🤍

Interesting I’ve been thinking about fasting . And I also took notes on the book of Ester about 2 weeks ago & was recently feeling like I need to go back to Ester. So this is confirmation because I was saying I’m not eating after 7pm & here it is 8:26pm, I haven’t ate yet .. so I’ll be back with an update Sunday night.
The biblical Esther fast is 3 days no food nor water. Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. Esther 4:15 Biblical fasting means to abstain from food and/or drink and can be for certain hours or can be done throughout entire fast. A 3 day fast could be until or after a certain time when you “break” the fast then resume fasting until the next day or abstaining until the 3 days is done.
Three complete days and nights no food or water do not have to do three days two is great she did three because she and her people were going to be annihilated .
You do not have to fast for salvation. If you want to be saved, you just admit you’re a sinner, believe Jesus died for you, and confess Him as your Savior. May God bless you as you seek Him!

I read the word everyday, I go to church, I pray so much all day everyday. Now to be fair I have noticed some changes but I just want to be his faithful and loving servant. I’m far from that. I’m such a doubter and unbeliever. Please pray for my faith in God to increase :)

Thank you for asking! That is a very valid question. I would like to add that God is our creator, Jesus is our savior, and the holy spirit is our helper. Salvation is relationship with God through Jesus Christ. You create and build that relationship by reading the bible. The bible is the Christian playbook. You get the full understanding of what it means to be a Christian [ including salvation and what that means etc. ] and walk the Christian walk by reading the bible.

Hey! There are different fasts that were done in the bible yes, but it wasn't for something specific like there aren't fasting recipes, meaning there isn't a fast for money, fast for restoration, fast for a new job etc. What are you needing to she including in your daily devotion with God. I love that you are seeking to hear me more clearly and that's a great intention behind a fast. So you can decide for yourself how you would want that to look. The best way to hear God is to silence your flesh so you can devote that 72 hours like Esther did or choose a different time. You can say I need to devote 24 hours of no food and killing my flesh because I want to hear you about x y z and pray without ceasing! But for sure, let that me something that is in your prayers daily.
I think it’s all mental. You go into it knowing it’s going to be difficult because you are killing your fresh but that you will be leaning on God to sustain you no matter what. Now of course physically prepping is important but everyone has different preferences. Some people need to ease into by doing diet changes others can just go cold turkey
You do not have to fast for three days unless you made a "Vow" to God to do three days . You definitely want to drink a good bit of cold spring water right before you fast most definitely.

Hi! There is no extreme weight loss! Especially if you are going to include water. I drink water to stay hydrated. At the end of the day you partnering with GOD who is your ultimate sustainer and provider. If you decide you are wanting to devote with prayer and fasting God will take care of you. What matters is your heart posture, there is no way to fail at fasting. It's just a decision you decide you want to make and just allow the holy spirit to carry you through! God always honors obedience.

I’m praying I can do this. 24 hours into my Esther fast. It’s July 4th. And all I smell is American bbq everything. 😩. Bad choice of day. But I have 2 more days to go. To break a lot of things of me. Spirit of Lust. Smoking weed. Financial breakthrough and to heal my health wise from an issue I have. I pray the lord hears my cry and sacrifice 😢. I’ll check back after I’m done.

I just received a letter from my landlord and instead of opening the envelope i lifted it up to God and i am starting tomorrow Esther fasting to dedicate everything it to Gods hand so that god can give me wisdom knowledge and understand.
I’ve been getting the urge to fast for a couple of weeks now and its been a slow process to get me to do it but God has been speaking to me that its time. Made the decision to start but wasn’t sure how many days to do it, my initial thought was 10 days, then I kept seeing videos on 40 day fasts, and did extensive research on that. I kept coming across videos on the Esther fast but never clicked on them. As I couldn’t decide, I ultimately came to the conclusion that during the fast I will know when I’m ready to break it. Last night I picked up my bible for the first time and intended on reading it before bed but for some reason put it off. I woke up this morning at 4am, without hesitation I picked it up and started reading the Old Testament. Looking for some answers on my situation, I closed the book, asked God to show me a page I needed to see. I kid you not I opened the book to Esther chapter 3 and read it. That was my answer, to fast for 3 days. I am blown away and excited to officially start my fast (no food or water) starting tomorrow. I’ve begun fasting from food yesterday but keep picking up this horrible habit (vaping) and will not count yesterday or today as part of my fast. Excited to get closer to God and hopefully kick these bad habits in the process. Thanks for this video!

Somedays I feel so overwhelmed in my journey. I feel as if I’m constantly doing things backwards…I did the Esther fast 2 days and I completed it, but I did realize I did not pray as much, however I did rely on God strength to fight my flesh from eating…I’ll probably do the fast over so I can pray more..😔 I keep telling myself God’s timing not mine.
It's easy to get overwhelmed for sure but at the end of the day God does not expect perfection. We live day to day in between two decisions, feeding our flesh and feeding our spirit. We do our best to feed our spirit and stay aligned and the times that we do [ because we WILL ] what God cares about is repentance. Just simply turning away from whatever just separated you and got you out of alignment from God. Our entire existence will be that balance! And enjoying the journey.

@@biblebill6206 nope. There are all kinds of fast. I have done a three partial days fast 6-1 and got my breakthrough on the fourth day. I did a one day fast, from 6 am till about 5 pm and received my answer the same night. What works for others may not be for you.

Some basic simple points . You do not have to do three days and nights no food or water unless you made a "Vow" to God to do three days and nights . Beginners should start out like one day 24hrs or 2 days 48 hrs like say once a month is a good practice for however many months you choose to . Also, very important to drink good bit of cold spring water "right before" fast !!! . Common sense .

Exactly the whole point of fasting is your letting go of the physical [ food water ] to draw closer to God through lots of praying to overcome wrong desires , problems , addictions .
You don't fast so much as to get something but to have God give you extra help with something your struggling with a problem , desire , addiction it's to let go of the physical and get more spiritual by giving up food water and praying a lot while on the fast to get closer to God .

Fasting has numerous benefits for your body, even without prayer. There are plenty of scientific studies showing how fasting supports your body in self-healing and disease prevention. Doctors now recommend fasting as well. Fasting not only provides spiritual benefits but also aids in your body's healing and rebuilding processes during the fast.

Correct! Fasting has a lot of physical benefits. There is fasting and there is praying. If you are fasting and praying out of obedience to God you cannot do one without the other. If you are fasting without devotion to God, you are just starving yourself because there is a lack of intention. If you decide you want to do a fast for physical benefits then you are not fasting and praying, it just a regular fast.
It provides spiritual benefits if you let go of the physical and use the fast to "pray" a lot talk about your problems what your struggling with . The whole point of fasting is to draw closer to God when on the fast through taking your time and praying .

So by mistake I thought RUTH had the fast. So I listened to a video about Ruth. And don’t ya know that person said the SAME EXACT THING-about RUTH being the ONLY book in the Bible that doesn’t DIRECTLY & OUT RIGHT mention God. I found that to be interesting. I can’t speak for other people but as mentioned in my video, I was reading directly out of my study Bible. Per the study Bible, Historians say Esther is the only book where there is no mention of Gods name.

Biblical fasting means to abstain from food and/or drink and can be for certain hours or can be done throughout entire fast.
A 3 day fast could be until or after a certain time when you “break” the fast then resume fasting until the next day or abstaining until the 3 days is done.

I have been walking seriously with God for almost 2 months now and realized I’m a huge doubter. I’m such an unbeliever. I read the word everyday, I go to church, I pray so much all day everyday. Thank you for asking! That is a very valid question. I would like to add that God is our creator, Jesus is our savior, and the holy spirit is our helper. Salvation is relationship with God through Jesus Christ. You create and build that relationship by reading the bible. The bible is the Christian playbook. You get the full understanding of what it means to be a Christian [ including salvation and what that means etc. ] and walk the Christian walk by reading the bible.

There are different fasts that were done in the bible yes, but it wasn't for something specific like there aren't fasting recipes, meaning there isn't a fast for money, fast for restoration, fast for a new job etc. What are you needing to she including in your daily devotion with God. I love that you are seeking to hear me more clearly and that's a great intention behind a fast. So you can decide for yourself how you would want that to look. The best way to hear God is to silence your flesh so you can devote that 72 hours like Esther did or choose a different time. You can say I need to devote 24 hours of no food and killing my flesh because I want to hear you about x y z and pray without ceasing! But for sure, let that me something that is in your prayers daily.

How do you prep for your Esther fast? I’m on Day one but I don’t think I prepped well because I’m already tired and dehydrated😭
I think it’s all mental. You go into it knowing it’s going to be difficult because you are killing your fresh but that you will be leaning on God to sustain you no matter what. Now of course physically prepping is important but everyone has different preferences. Some people need to ease into by doing diet changes others can just go cold turkey

Hi! There is no extreme weight loss! Especially if you are going to include water. I drink water to stay hydrated. At the end of the day you partnering with GOD who is your ultimate sustainer and provider. If you decide you are wanting to devote with prayer and fasting God will take care of you. What matters is your heart posture, there is no way to fail at fasting. It's just a decision you decide you want to make and just allow the holy spirit to carry you through! God always honors obedience.
