Did you know? If you have a belt, a sheath, and a spear strap for weapon storage, then you can just hold your hiking pack in your hands? It does not count to encumberment plus, you can drop the hiking pack to the ground for 0 move cost since you already hold the pack in your hand.
I went on a hiatus for a week or so, and we are about 2 months into vellums journey. It's truly amazing how far he's come. If I remember correctly a few episodes there was a craft jop with 4.29 metric tons of copper laying around if you need it
Casting magic take a lot of your calories, might wanna see about hunting / fishing (Mostly thinking fishing since you are close to water) Your wind blast might be good for getting a bunch of fish
I knew that Psionics steal calories when you see the phrase "you feel a strange tingling", but I didn't know Magiclysm affects your calories. Fishing isn't a bad idea, I will need to look into that. Although we are still in a megacity and I enjoy exploring.
@@AreimaYT possible backseat gaming/spoilers ahead, you have been warned!! Unfortunately, at least since the last time I checked (which was admittedly ages ago), fishing is very time inefficient. Welcome to season 2 food gathering, best way I've seen is to hunt and fully butcher a large animal (maybe dino since you have the mod?) then smoke their flesh and render their fat (smoking racks are very cheap, just a bunch of sticks and planks and they can preserve meat/fruit for you automatically over time when loaded with charcoal), as that gives exceptional pay-offs, but usually requires a vehicle and/or long range firearm to run down the animal. Since that's extremely difficult in a mega-city, I would suggest searching every single tree/bush you find, as it's summer so there should be relatively plentiful fruit. Also, if you want tools with mana infusing, check out the copper/silver bracelets/circlets recipes in your enchanted tab. For some reason spells won't use furniture qualities like crafting recipes, so the magic circle doesn't work. Likely just an oversight, there.
As much as I want to see Vellum fully master the mighty Cause Bear spell, I am intrigued to see what Photon Beam can do when Vellum practices it for a good long while. The spell having to do with frogs sounds really neato as well. I hope old high metabolism Vellum gets himself a huge stockpile of fruits and veggies so he can practice all of these spectacular effects of mind and mysticism. :D Very entertaining video. Long live the Slayer of Plastic Golems!
Thanks! Yeah I don't know why his metabolism is currently crazy, there is no cause as far as I can tell? Someone suggested its all the spells and psionics I'm using, and there's merit to that, but I simply don't know. Seems like some of the food I'm eating is just vanishing into the void.
Magiclysm and Mind over Matter bring CDDA from a fun survival game into a full really awesome RPG for me. The simple aspect of adding "powers" is what finally made me love this game after **many** many attempts to get into it.
Hm... Why those contraptions on the roof didn't count for mana infusing? I saw some videos, for example, in labs, where people used stationary centrifuge to create primers or something
I honestly, deeply don't know. I 100% thought it would work, for the exact same reasons. I did a bunch of internet searches afterwards and am still not 100% sure how we're going to accomplish this ritual.
@@AreimaYT I remember watching Rycon... He tried to do smithing, and an anvil (or kiln, or grinding wheel, or something else) didn't want to register. It was a bug. Or maybe "the contraption" should be reloaded with something? Magic dust or whatnot Or maybe trying another tower?
I can! And that food is actually some of the best for our Elven protagonist, as he greatly prefers fresh unprocessed foods (both roleplay and mechanically). It isn't a bad idea, and I could spend a day or two foraging, but without a way to preserve it I think it might turn into an endless task of foraging for enough food to keep foraging, haha. I'm not sure though, and its worth a try!
You need to find a tablet to put books on as it takes so little time to upload a book and have it forever and have a thousand books in one inventory spot
Entertainingly, that was done in the past. Then, a dinosaur tail and an unfortunate fall-in with a lake ended that tablet. It is a goal eventually though, once some.. other things get more situated.
@@AreimaYT Well that should be fine as well but getting a tablet you can just have that sit next to your crafting station and have no need for 100+ books not on a shelf
@@Ashbringer55 I think there's a "book binder" that allows you to do the 'running around copying everything into your spellbook' thing old-fashioned style with pen and paper, if that's more on-theme?
Vellum doesn't miss a single opportunity to throw shade on humans. A true elf to the bones.
Brittle, brittle bones.
Honestly surprised the rocket punch doesn't do more damage, lol.

Yeah it was either a craft or gun store, but I can't remember which, or which one it was. I was hoping someone in the comments knew, but no luck yet.
@@AreimaYT craft definitely

Odd to see the rocket fist being more of a...
Rocket thimble..
Anyways, good to see! More Vellum! WOO
I would like to say its the quality of our armor. But I'm not sure?

For optimal play, I agree. For a bookworm roleplay, I want physical books. I hope to one day start filling library shelves.

The description does suggest it's just for recipes, though.
