The prices of 90's RS2000's are crazy I would restore to stock condition and hang on to it for a few years, being a 1 owner vehicle that will bump up the price.

I have been using Mer polish for decades. One of my first cars, back in about 1991/92-ish, was a Mk1 Astra with a chrome filler cap that was caked in dried on petrol and dried petrol runs down the bodywork. I tried everything to get the petrol off but nothing shifted it. Bought a bottle of Mer at a show and tried that, it took all the dried on petrol off the bodywork and filler cap.
I don't use any other polish now unless I have run out of Mer and haven't managed to get more.
The other thing I like is you can put a capful into a bucket of water and use it to wash the car, and unlike most polishes that say you must use it on a dry car not in direct sunlight, you can wash the car then just start polishing it without having to dry it and it doesn't matter if it's overcast or bright sunshine the Mer still polishes the car well.

Fantastic video again lads. It will look fantastic when it’s finished. Can not beat old school cars. I find hot and cold washers great with foam canons

My dad had a black 1992 xr3i that looked pretty much the same as that rs but without the power bulges on the bonnet and a 1.8 130 bhp engine instead. Lovely cars
