    I'm 100% on this mom's side, when my brother was 12 he babysat me & we're 6 yrs apart. The neighbors sound like cop calling troublemakers. The first choice should be walk the child to the house & knock on the door, if no one answers the door then call the mother. That neighbor must a vendetta against the mother

      I'd almost bet it was the same neighbor who called TWICE (she needs fact finding hearings). People don't have big families anymore (even more just have pets instead these days). A house of 5 kids is just totally different. My husband & I had 6 kids all together! I had 2, he had 2, We had 2... and ALL ended up being raised together. Sometimes it was a mess, but it was the best mess of an experience I'd ever want out of life. (Alotta fun & laughter too) I didn't realize My life NEEDED all of that, until I had it... but it'll NEVER EVER be perfect all day everyday with that many HUMANS in one space (statistical odds explain that one clearly).
      I hope this woman gets the help she needs & society pushes back on this!

      This bothers me so much because my sister is a single mum of two boys! My nephew is 13 now but he has been babysitting his brother since he was 11! My sister has cameras inside and outside of her home that she can check up on them at any time and there’s A LOT of rules for them, such as no going outside, doors remain locked, no answering the house phone, his mobile must be kept on incase grandmother, aunties or mum calls, no cooking, no answering the door unless it’s aunties, grandma or mum even if you know the person, no climbing, no phone calls to anyone unless it’s an emergency, no internet, no showers or baths (she worries about them falling or drowning lol) and the list goes on and on!!
      My nephew is very responsible and he even prepares his brother sandwiches and cleans up after himself. He is a great kid who is 100% trustworthy and not just that but there’s always the cameras around for when they decide to break the rules (like the time they searched and found their Christmas presents early 😂)

    I remember when this story first broke, I couldn't believe it. Nothing about this story or this family was worthy of an arrest. Theres actual children in harms way out there and it seems police and CYS don't do anything about it but yet a family like this, that had a genuine mistake happen and no harm was done, is being harassed and she's been arrested. Makes NO sense. Its very clear and obvious to anyone with eyes that this mother and sister meant no harm.

      @absolutelyridiculous6743 2 роки тому

      Yes! I have my own story with CPS, but as soon as I fought back with several documents proving against their severe allegations all charges were dropped and erased. It scared me that they wanted to take healthy, happy children from a loving, normal family just because of one small accident where no one was hurt and all was fine. Yet children of severely abusive households are placed back with their abusers time and time again. I don't understand. CPS is criminal.

    I remember during lockdown I had to go to a store and had no one to watch my children. I took them with, naturally. The woman at the store went berserk because I was "putting my children and the public at risk". Completely upsetting my children. If I leave them at home, that is wrong too. Society is so fd-up. It isn't about her leaving the 14 year old to babysit. It is about this happening more than once with her leaving her 14 year old and the youngest getting out. This case is specific to this family. Not all young teens being left to babysit. So her 14 year old wasn't the best babysitter but she kept leaving her to babysit anyway. We were well known in our neighborhood, so many parents used our services. I certainly think that leaving your 14-year-old daughter in charge is not negligence. The arrest was completely unwarranted. The police should've just interviewed the two siblings, interviewed the neighbor - then talk to the mother when she got home. The daughter should've been more "aware" but her little brother probably got bored and went next door to play with his friend. That police department overreacted.

    Honestly... the world is over populated with Karen's and Roger's. Most have 9-1- already dialed just looking for ANY reason to hit that other 1

    It's ridiculous kids are not learning responsibility at all and parents have their hands tied

      Yes, well in this day and age, you have spoiled, woke, participation trophy brats who think everything is abuse and that they're so important that they don't need to have any responsibility. That they can't help out their parents. 🙄 It's ridiculous.

    Did the police not feel stupid at all arresting this woman and waiting for someone to come watch the kids so they wouldn’t be alone, because she’s charged with the crime of leaving the kids alone? What a waste of taxpayer resources and abuse of authority.

    My state is up to the discretion of the parent…when you feel your child is responsible enough. Although yes the kid walked out…but this happens to grown ups…

    That's absolutely ridiculous I started babysitting when I was between 11-12 it is not against the law to babysit at that age or any other age

    This is completely ridiculous 🙄 I've seen parents let there kids run around on the main road numerous times an they never arrested them. An they were just drug addicts neglecting there children.

    She was being arrested for leaving her children alone, yet the police officer was happy for her to leave them alone “and go to the store” for her to be arrested 🤷‍♀️ makes no sense to me

    People need to start minding their own business! There is nothing illegal about children being left to be watched by their older siblings! People these days are so out of touch and privileged!
