  • 2019 Yamaha Bolt Biltwell Handlebar Install. In this video I will be installing Biltwell Black Keystone Handlebars along with Vans Red Waffle Grips. I have never worked on a Yamaha before so I discovered a few things along the way as you will notice in the video. This install is definitely easier than when I installed handlebars on my street glide. #yamahabolt #howto #biltwell #sinisterclutch

    So SC, .... If I got the Vid right and your wording correct..... adding 2 inch riser posts to my bolt is going to leave me plenty of slack in the cables and brake line, ( rack to rack) ??. I had ordered a couple of 2 inch riser posts from my local 2 years ago and then said No to the idea because I had figured that I would need to install new throttle cables, and the bar would be over top of the speedo, etc... The only thing I will need to get is the Koso Gauge realignment bracket so that the gauge is on top-of or in front-of the bar rather than under it. (

    Hi, great job 👏👏👏 . I have a question: if i change factory handlebar on my Yamaha Bolt to 10 inch handlebar, have i need to change Gas/Clutch/Brake cables and electric cables? Or second question how many inches handlebar can install without changing any cables? Thanks alot

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  Рік тому +2

      I don't think you can go up farther than the 5 inch Biltwell bars I installed. There was just enough slack in the cables to turn left and right without issues. If you go with 10 inch handlebars you definitely need to extend the cables. Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions✌🤘

    Will the 7/8 ones work on a Yamaha bolt R Spec or do they have to be 1inch ?

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  9 місяців тому

      That’s correct if you use the OEM risers. If I remember correctly the C-Spec has 7/8” bars. So if you already have 7/8” handlebars then you have to change the risers. I personally recommend the 1” handlebars. Hope this helps 🤙

  • @danhaymoresunitedkaratestu5832

    A question or 2 on this install. My instrument gauge has been moved forward on the front side of the bars. Would these bars obstruct the view of the gauge? Also, do these bars (keystone) facilitate a more comfortable riding position? They certainly look cool!

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  Рік тому +1

      No it shouldn’t obstruct the view of your gauges. Yes the handlebars will provide a more comfortable riding position but that also depends on the individual.

      @@SinisterClutch so, the 1" slotted bars will fit 2017 RSpec bolt without having to drill holes or cutting the little nubs off?

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  Рік тому

      @@danhaymoresunitedkaratestu5832 Correct there is no difference between the 2019 in the video and your 2017 Bolt R Spec when it comes to the handlebars. According to Biltwell those slots are for the switch house piece that sticks in the hole of the stock handlebars. I installed these for a friend and she didn’t want the bars with the slots. I didn’t ask why but I wonder if the slots are too big.

  • @Swapi09
    @Swapi09 Рік тому +1

    Should I order a smooth Bar or a Slotted Bar?? The stock bar is slotted.

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  Рік тому +1

      The ones I installed were smooth. It’s really preference. But that was the owner of the bikes choice. I had to modify the switch control housing but it works with smooth. To avoid modifications go with slotted.
