I'm an Acadian who speaks Chiac and grew up in South-Eastern NB where Chiac is prevelent. From this perspective, it is easy to recognize that the phrase "J'ai Crosser La Street" is a kind of joke and is not Chiac. The phrase does not come from the south-eastern region. It is not spoken by anyone I know. Someone from here would say "J'ai travarsé la rue" or "le chemin" or "la driveway", basically. The sentence is a sort mockery or "made-up chiac". This clip was made by comedians from the acadian peninsula region, where they speak a more standard French, and so are able to land these cool jobs with Radio Canada, etc. I could never work in French radio, I promise you. haha. This video is also a sort of display of the "reaction to Chiac" by peninsula acadians, who are thrown head first into it as they all move south to Moncton to attend the University de Moncton, our provinces French university. All that said, this is still a funny video.
