I agree, the cops were waiting for that 'guilty' verdict for Katie to go & arrest Charlie (perhaps Donna too)...without Katie they do not have enough evidence to convict any of the Adelsons. There was no communications discovered between Garcia and Adelsons except for 1 call to the Adelson's Institute to reach Katie. There is overwhelming communications, meetings, secret code language between Katie & Charlie, Katie & Garcia back & forth and let's not forget the FBI undercover operation wire taps! I dont know if that is enough without first getting Katie convicted.

It was obvious from the beginning of this trial that Garcia was just taking the bullet for Magbanua. Her defense team threw him under the bus at every opportunity; and he wouldn't let his defense team fight back. He basically sacrificed his life for Magbanua. And then she had the nerve to cry like a baby (no doubt acting) when Garcia was convicted, when it was her attorneys that helped to secure that conviction.

In my opinion Wendi planned to put the gun somewhere close to Jeff's place. It would be consistent with her plot, to screw up Jeff. For this reason the gun is not in any river. Probably it was given to Catherine, and she gave it to Charlie. After the murder it was nonsense to put the gun close to Jeff's place, because Jeff had alibi. Adelsons had to modify their plot, but it is possible, that Charlie hid the gun for future modifications of the initial plan. Maybe he expected it will be useful for him for some reason in the future. Maybe he planned a bombshell, another murder with the same gun on the other crime scene, in different city or even country, in case not related to Dan Markel's death? Catherine, Rivera, Martinez do not know where is the gun now. Wendi knows the gun is in Charlie’s possession. They all would have additional years in prison for cheating Police, if they would reveal they hid the gun now. Also Charlie and Donna were not interested in informing Police where the gun was, it would be like to pled guilty. It is possible, that now the gun is at Harvey's home, hidden in a safe place. Maybe exposed with other guns collection behind glass?

A sentence can be appealed. He committed two crimes. Let's say he appeals one crime and the appeal is successful. If he was sentenced for both crimes at once, what the new sentence should be? Also, how do we determine if both sentences are applied concurrently or consecutively? So in case he successfully appeals one sentence, what happens to the other? We don't know If he is sentenced for both crimes together.
You need to know the exact sentence for each crime and how each punishment is applied with respect to the other.

If he appeals, he would be appealing his entire trial.
This case is a consecutive case, and that part wouldn't change with an appeal.
Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to appeal since he's already 36/37 years old and even the one case is 30 years, so that would put him at 66/67 years old.
It's *VERY* unlikely that his appeal would win though, with the testimony of the second hitmen.

His on again off again girlfriend/ baby mama helped hired him, to kill her "then" boyfriend's sister's ex-husband, because she wanted to relocate and couldn't because of their parenting plan.
It's a super F'ed up case, but basically in the end, the second Hitman that was hired, narked out this guy (his childhood best friend), in order to tell the truth and get a deal (19 years, but he didn't actually pull the trigger, this guy did).
The family involved, still hasn't been indicted either.
The brother and ex-wife (Charlie and Wendi Addelson) should BOTH be indicted for Conspiracy to commit murder. So far they are lucky, but hopefully their time is coming. And the MOTHER in-law as well.
I honestly don't think the father-in-law was involved. I do think the 3 were though.
Otherwise, the hitmen, *NEVER* would've been connected, hired, and PAID $75,000
