They both look great but, the new one looks smoother and more matte without being flat. I just bought the new one and I can't wait to try it tomorrow.
I just bought the original power grip today with the halo glow liquid filter. I just have a good feeling about this primer . Can't wait to use. Love these comparisons.

I’m not a whole face primer gal since I rarely use foundation but I picked up the new one just to use in the outer corner of my eyes since my concealer + eyeshadow creases. It’s also hyperpigmented there so I thought the added skin care ingredient would be great. So far, I’m really liking it and it’s doing the job for such a tough spot!
i have a question, i'm a new makeup user and was debating buying primer-- i don't wear foundation (which is why i'm replying to you) but i do use tinted moisturizer (from colourpop), would you still recommend primer?
@@erxnga I say yes BUT if your makeup ( tinted moisturizer) has been wearing fine to you then leave the primer where it is.

@@carmelaalfonso6804i think it will work if you spread out the foundation on the cushion puff so it applies in an even layer

Yay for comparisons! They both look the same to me. I think I might try the original since the new one is a tad dewier and this oily girl doesn’t need more dew lol 😆 ❤️

Great Comparison! Ok I’m sold on the new one! Yes the power grip is amazing but the new one made your makeup so smooth and pretty 💕
That's bc the original Power Grip has hyaluronic acid as its active ingredient. But this new primer contains Niacinimide... which automatically helps reduce the look of pores! So if you have dry skin like me, I'd stick with the OG bc you need that extra moisture for drier skin. But if you're looking to minimize pores instead, then this new primer is all you!!

Thanks for the video! Call out for the ingredients. The list you showed for blue primer is different from what’s on Ulta - namely it has hydrogenated castor oil (per Ulta) and that is a pore clogging ingredient. The pink version does not have that. Looking on the elf website castor oil is not listed for the blue version. Ahhh who knows!! I don’t use primer now so I’ll go with pink version and see how it goes!

I honestly think the one on the left is pretty much the jellypop primer they discontinued.I have that one still and it's way stickier and heavier then the one on the right.i prefer the one on the right because it's way more light weight and I don't get as oily as I do with the jellypop primer .

It's very hard to tell the difference, but I'd have to say the Blue/Green one ! I'll use either, lol Hydration is super Important to me Due to my Rosatia.🤷♀️
Hey MJ! Oooh this is going to be a great comparison. I’d use both products putting the pink version on your cheek area. Since you put me on to the original it’s become my HG on my old dry skin. It’s so comfortable to wear. Hope you & everyone in the comments have a blessed day

The makeup looks better on the niacinamide side, the colours come through more pigmented/darker if thats what you like. It all comes down to preference I guess 🤷🏻♀️

@@MoNehNeh17 I found that I have to use less of the blue than I do the red because I use about a pump and I half for my full face with red, but if I use that much of the blue my face really just flakes the makeup off so as long as you use less it works just as well, I definitely prefer the red and once I run out of blue I’ll stay loyal to my red

I wonder if it’s similar to the jelly pop primer that elf came out with as far as the consistency/product texture. I still have some of that one left after it was discontinued, and have been searching for something similar since. Hopefully the niacinamide won’t be a let down. 🙂

Did the pink one make anyone else’s skin red and make them sneeze uncontrollably?! I just had to remove my makeup and I used it for the first time. I have the green one and have had no issues with that one!
You may be having a reaction to the niacinimide. My face gets red when I use niacinimide.
I feel like the only difference with the new one is just the Niacinamide, which is more of a skincare ingredient. So I suppose I would try the new one, just because my skin tends to really like ingredients with niacinamide in them (like it helps with redness and calms my irritation). But other than that, I'm glad to see that they perform pretty much the same
But doesn't the OG have it as well? The lists are exactly the same. What I don't understand is how they got one to be blue and the other pink while still having the exact ingredients (the dyes if you will)... 🤷♀️

I feel like the difference isn't vusual, it's probably more about how it feels on the skin. You could probably just alternate between the two when you run out.

You posted the wrong ingredient list for the green primer, I know it’s from the elf website but I think that’s a mistake on their end. I just repurchased the green one and the ingredients list On the package is different. The ulta website has the correct list. Basically the same still with some small differences

It’s been so hard for me to wear makeup and keep it on and looking nice since the pandemic. My oils are much worse in a mask and the makeup rubs off. I hope in the future health care (occupational therapy) in my case won’t have to wear masks forever. I miss my makeup looking good 😭

Girl both look the same. Pink is just a rip off. If you have one you don’t need the other.
The pink has niacinamide which is a ski care ingredient so there's the differenc.. my skin benefits from this ingredient so I will be trying it for sure.
