You're describing Predators... A bunch of criminals (yakuza lieutenant, drug cartel enforcer, serial killer) and soldiers of questionable morality (Black Ops US soldier, IDF intelligence agent who keeps everyone in the dark, and Spetsnaz gunner) forced to work together to fight against the predator's well on unfamiliar turf

they show him doing slight of hand tricks because when they escape the bus he steals one of the guards batons and uses it to take out one of the guards , there is also a scene where they show thomas jane and keegan are friends when keegan is comforting thomas jane

It’s *weirdly* bad… Shane Black went from making what I thought was the most underrated movie in 2016, to the absolute worst movie of 2018
Ya know, Sterling K Brown's character died so fast I completely missed it. By the end of the movie, I was wondering WTF happened to him.

Aliens. The Queen was unquestionably bigger... and the movie was unquestionably amazing. Unless she doesn't count because she also runs the hive and lays the eggs, and is thus probably more than just "bigger"... maybe I just refuted myself, but, found the thought worth sharing.

I actually think it's Slender Man, since it came out last year and Birdbox is too close from initial release.
The idea they joked about of the Predator trying to verbally communicate to the humans while simultaneously killing them was funnier than any scene in the movie.

I gotta say Predators was a great movie that gets no love. I mean it is literally war criminals being hunted by Predators that is the whole movie. It is a million times better then this crappy movie. In my opinion it is a great sequel to the original Predator movie. Please someone tell me why it gets no love?
@@mabusestestament Predator 2 has it's moments. Even average blockbusters from Hollywood back then are better than the current franchise stuff.

I think it’s worse than you suspected with Alfie Allen, he pick pockets the guard on the bus at the beginning...that seems to be the only reason he knows magic 😂😂 great episode I’ve been crying with laughter

Aliens is probably the only movie that is genuinely the same monster but bigger and it's an amazing movie. For the most part, yeah doing that fails so hard

This is the second time the Predator franchise has introduced Predator dogs. The characters in Predators were also attacked by “PredDogs”.
It's a really lame, lazy idea. So weak. Why does a Predator need dogs?
1) I realy wish I could watch the extended version of this where we watch Spencer, Dan and Joe continue on about this movie.
2) and I only bring this up because its even dumber then I think people realize. the "payoff" for the dog was the fetch return thing... she tossed a thing into a truck and closed it on the dog when it jumped in after it, and the gum chewie guy was like "that was a powerful weapon" or something so then when the dog shows up again its bringing that weapon to her and if I remember correctly that's the thing she used to blow the limbs off the big guy. it was dumb and unnecessary in my mind the pitch goes something like "ok what if the dog brings her the weapon to beat the big one ... well how does he get the weapon ... ohh ok umm ok so we set it up that she plays fetch with the dog earlier in the movie and then at the end she tosses the weapon into a truck and the dog goes after it and she locks the dog in the back of the truck so that it shows up right when they need it to" and for some reason that seemed like a better idea to them then keeping the dog with her. like if I was being hunted by a giant alien maybe I keep close to the giant alien dog I befriended. I mean I don't know how the predators compare but I know a human's hunting dog can seriously mess up a human hunter if it wanted to.
Spencer's movie sounds like assault on precinct 13 meets predator
I laughed so hard every time you did an impression of the Predators doing science which, having not seen this movie, is a concept I never would've imagined. Spine-ripping Scientist Predator is even funnier than the already great Frat Boy Predators from After Credits.

Predator 2 (1990) was a great movie in my book. And I really liked Predators (2010) and some moments in the first AvP film but The Predator is an abomination to the series

I've never watched this movie. Hadn't planned on watching it (which is why I decided to watch this because nothing is being spoiled for me). Now I have to watch this movie because this was the most hilarious commentary Ever LOL.
The stupidest things on that Iron Predator suit were how gigantic those casters are firstly and the helmet still having Predator hairs on.
Thumbs Up because I would so watch your proposed movie ideas. Particularly 3 Card Monty and Invisi-ball and Cups cut of this film.

A lot of people keep saying over and over that showing more about the Predators "takes away from the mystique" of the Yautja and makes them less scary. Honestly, we've had 35 years to tell spooky, scary Predator stories. I want to see Yautja Prime already. I want a Predator movie with just Predators in it.
One of the reasons Predator works is because of the suspense/mystery behind the threat/creature. They have no idea what it is, where it came from, or why it's killing them. The best stuff in that film is when you can't even see it.
When you just have the thing running around in plain sight, it's boring. Especially if the characters and the plot are not compelling.
Predator 2 still keep the predator hidden for long parts of the film and the LA setting gave it some atmosphere and intensity.
Dang - I feel sorry thinking about the suffering of watching these movies but man I miss the banter in chemistry of Joe cracking up at Dan‘s impressions. Horrible for you but fun for us. Thanks for that.

I agreed with most the points. I think you all should watch it a few more times (or at least the featurettes) to enjoy some of the little details hiding in the blatant detailing.

I hated this film so much. I loved the original so much that this hurt.
I only watched this movie because of Trevante Rhodes.
He's SO good (and pure Grade A stud). He made Bird Box more worth the watch as well. But Moonlight is still his best, so far.
He was phenomenal in Moonlight. I really hope he’ll start getting some film offers more worthy of his talents.

Don't normally post to make corrections, but starting at 31:27 Spencer questions why a Brit would be in the American military. This happens all of the time, actually. When I was in the Marines, I regularly met other Marines with heavy accents. I knew a Marine once who spoke really poor English.
Not a terribly big deal, but still. Great video as usual!
Looks like the character is wearing a British Army cap? But yes, I met one English kid in the US Army who had one American parent, and of course tons of immigrants from other countries.

I don't know how you can think Shane Black is a good director after watching The Predator, he directed 2 good movies, wrote 1 good movie and all three of them are the exact same buddy cop movie. He's a hack and I hope he delivers a Joel Schumacher-esque apology for what he did to this franchise. I would go so far as to say Joel Schumacher has more talent than Black, watch A Time To Kill, Phone Booth and 8mm.

2 Predators 2 Furious!
As someone who grew up with autism, I was very irritated how the movie tried to force a social disability as a plot device by saying it's a mutant power that can make Predators smarter. More offensive than I think this movie was aware of.
One of the worst movie sequels was Exorcist II: The Heretic. Great commentary guys!

I would have loved to have had Newt show up in the post credit scene! After the suit goes on the dude you could cut to a woman’s feet and pan up till we see her name tag that’s says Newt and then she says, “I can help you with that.” and it’s like adult Newt from a different dimension.
Now that Spencer mentions it, how has there not been an Honest Trailer for Fifth Element?!
