Golf - We currently have a Harvest Host membership, but actually haven't used it yet. We sold our house in December and drove straight to Florida, just stopping in a Cracker Barrel and Camping World for overnights. They were both great options as they were very quiet and we got good night sleeps which we needed after the long days traveling from Michigan to Florida.
I bought copies of Free Campgrounds and gave them out for Christmas presents. I am planning on getting the Military Rv and Camping book next. My husband did 25 years active duty Air Force and has been NGA since 2004. I think its about time to finally retire, get rid of the sticks and bricks and hit the road. Happy trails and it is always a pleasure to watch the great video's that you produce.
Have used HH, AllStays, and Trip Wizard. Caught your recommendations last year and have really appreciated all of these as we have moved toward more and more Boondocking. You do a great job with your videos.
Thank you fo much for this video. AND all your videos. We have been camping for 4 years in a TT and just purchased our Class A. Hitting the road in 2022 and your videos continue to help prepare us! The maintenance check list is GREAT for those of us who are new to motorized coaches. Thanks again
Stacy you did a great job helping us RV folks to save money, contrary to popular belief owning an RV does not mean you have unlimited funds. THANK YOU FOR HELPING US TO SAVE AND ENJOY OUR RV LIFE
I also use UC military cg and UC public cg as well as rv parky and park advisor..we've been sidelined for a min but getting ready to hit the road...harvest, rv trip an dboondockers are on our most wanted...ty for the video.
Just been on google to see the exchange rate. For us UK residents that £12:37 per night. Where can just get that over here. Jealous. Would love to come over for 3 months and get a RV and visit the USA you don’t normally see as a tourist. Love the video.
I'm definitely going to use ALL STAYS (AllStays) after watching this video. It seems that it will take the worry out of where to stay when we end up in an area without a reservation in hand.
me and my husband along with our 11 month old and a dog are planning to start the RV life by April. Your website and videos are the most helpful and full of information ...thank you for doing this.
I am very new at You Tube and the RV community, and my 2 favorite channels that I have been binge watching, are Changing Lanes, and You, Me & the RV! 👍 Both are such fun couples to watch, and hope to meet up someday, on the road! Thank you for all your helpful information that you share with everyone!
We are new to Rving so all of these sound amazing and watching almost all your videos we see all the places you 2 stay. The alpaca farm was pretty cool. Love your channel! Thank you for sharing all this information and the time you put into all your videos!
I love HH and Boondockers!! They made our trip to the east coast a blast. We stayed at 4 golf courses along our journey. I guess one course (Tiffany Greens) is using our rig as their picture in HH!! Thanks for the videos. Blessed travels.
Phil and Stacy, my wife and I are only part time right now but we will see. I too am a veteran and have seen combat, we both look forward to meeting you guys someday, somewhere. Your videos are a great help seeing how right now we travel a great deal. Keep up the good work! We Joined harvest hosts, passport America.
Stacy and Phil. I have been watching your channel for over a year now, and just purchased a new RV. I have really enjoyed your content, video style, personality, and fun times you are having. I especially enjoyed the videos on your Lithium Battery upgrade, and the RV training school. Thank you so much for putting together the give away for how to find camping sites. Being new and not yet to camp out, these would be valuable resources for us, and will most likely purchase or start using these resources. I am however, happy to enter the drawing for the opportunity win one of these resources. Now that you have shown these resources to me, I would like to thank you very much the information and for your work to put together the drawing. By the way, your work for the military is AWESOME. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your support of us and our channel! We love our military and we will continue to support them as much as we can! Have a great time with your new RV!
Already a member of Harvest Host, Boondockers Welcome, RV TripWizard (RV Life) and Allstays based on your prior recommendations. Harvest Host has been great. Haven't had a chance to use Boondockers Welcome yet since our travel has been restricted by COVID. Have been using Allstays to help plan a trip for this spring once we can get our COVID vaccinations. Used the heck out of TripWizard this past fall on four week trip through the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee.
Hey Stacy. For being an introvert you are doing very well on producing your videos. Hats off and I’m not sure if I’m late to getting that allstays app or not as I just came across your app today. Probably but I thought I comment anyway.
Thanks again for helping out our family of GLAMPERS. Just a note, we have a couple of daughter-in-laws that will only go camping if the FAMILY MOTORHOME will be there, they like having their own facilities or using ours ....... We just love spending time with the family and the MH acts like our home away from home, still the place they all want to be. Safe Travels out there, please keep bringing those videos, my lovely bride and I look forward to them weekly, until we can see you 'ON THE ROAD"
Last night i went on google to see how much it is to hire a RV for two weeks in September. Small one $850 to $1000 and one like yours anything up to $5000. That does not include mileage and a few other items. Best i win the local lottery.
RV Trip Wizard - The Wright Guide to Free and Low Cost Campgrounds was an Excellent suggestion! We’ve purchased it based on one of your previous videos. Thank you!
We pick up our FIRST RV in two weeks!! We are super excited! As fellow San Antonians we have loved watching and learning from you. We feel much more prepared because of your videos! We will not be full time, but hope to meet you someday ON THE ROAD! We need TRIP WIZARD!
Missed the contests but wanted to let you know how much my husband and I appreciate you both and the info you share! Happy journey and hope to see you on the road!
Thank you for this information! We are planning our cross country trip for the summer and I was using some of the resources you mention in your video. We are driving from Maryland to Washington State, considering to start driving south towards Alabama iwork our way across Texas to New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington State. Return trip will be across the north side of the lower 48. We have about 10 weeks, still planning. Recommendations are welcome. Thanks
“ New friends” that’s the plan anyway! Thank you for all your videos they have been so helpful as we have been planning over the last 7 months, we should be closing on our house in April!
Question: the book on free campsites: we aren’t set up for boondocking... do many of the campgrounds in the book have electricity? And wondering about finding the sites - do you have to google the cities to find out which one(s) are near you?
Your information is very helpful! Until recently, the only free spaces that I knew about was Walmart and flea markets. You can sell your wares and get low cost or free camping.
“Golf” can’t wait to give it a try! Hitting the road in April and harvest host membership was on my to do list! Love your videos! Hopefully one day we’ll see you on the road!
Hope you can take this comment with the humor intended... I'm an Army vet. My wife is 34 years Army civil service at Ft Carson Hospital. My father was a retired LTC with 22 years Army Infantry, and a vet of WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. My nephew is 20 years Army and a vet of the 2nd Iraq war. It's safe to say we are an Army family. When you state that the Army C.O.E. are your favorite campgrounds, I wonder if since you are both Navy vets, does the C.O.E. makes you float your RV in the lake? It would seem appropriate to me. Love your channel. You guys are the bomb!
I just wanted to say thank you for putting out such helpful and interesting content. We hope to find our "some day" when my our house is paid off. I can't wait to spend time with my hubby exploring this amazing country, but we will definitely be doing it on the cheap. This was an excellent video to help us out in planning.
Another great video with lots of good info. We also love COE campgrounds and use both the COE and Free Campgrounds books. We have used Campendium, but are android users so can't use allstays. We also use a military campground app titled Ultimate Military Campgrounds.
I ordered the free campgrounds book on your Amazon link and I thank you for this advice! I bought a lil guy Max in November and didn’t get out camping yet but I’m learning via you tube videos and getting what supplies I need and I ordered much more from your Amazon link thank just the book 👍😊❤️
I don’t know if you heard keystone rv is closing down. Due to fuel prices and economy. 334 people losing there jobs at plant in Indiana . Word is they won’t be the last to close
I believe you guys said you don't have solar , so how long can you stay at a time without hookup. I guess you have to run your generator a lot? If you have the time to share.im talking about boondocking.
I've heard of "RV Trip Wizard" and am looking at using it! Did the "checklist" for entering. Looking at end of Feb. leave time. Thanks so much for the information!
@@todayissomeday Thanks! Being a Disabled Veteran presents its challenges but looking forward to the adventure. I bought used versus new after doing lots of RESEARCH! on multiple rigs! I ended up getting a 1998 Winnebago Adventurer 35 foot diesel pusher.
ANDREWS AFB is $30 aday full hookup. There are several bad things in my opinion is when I was there the sites are close together. But I was there to site see WASHINGTON . We took the train it's not far from the base . Park the car there and just get you a train map so that you know where to get off the train. You get off near the place you're going to visit. Parking , if you've never been to Washington is very hard to find parking. You end up walking a lot anyway , so use the train. The other thing is FAMCAMP is at or near the end of the runway. Air Force One takes off a lot . I can put up with a lot for $30 dollars anight. You've walked a lot down town and you're tired and sleep through a lot.
Great information. I purchased the book. I do have a couple of questions: When the description states "RV up to 40 ft" can I get my 44ft fifth wheel in" Also does the limit ever included the fifth wheel and truck together?
We are going to South Dakota in May. We just purchased a new camper and want to boondock overlooking the badlands. In your video you got out and opened up a gate to enter, can you give us directions to get to that road please? Thank you
"Trip Wizards" We start our Journey in June 10th (retirement day). If you don't recognize the name I am Andrea's brother. I helped them drive their rig from Phoenix to Tampa. We stopped in Texas and visited with you. Keep moving and enjoy the ride.
