Great tips on organizing the kitchen. My wife hasn’t found her “Perfect” setup yet, so every time we go out things are in a different place for me to learn!! But it’s all good. We learn as we go!
Thanks for the tour and tip on the microwave popper. We bought one a couple weeks ago and loved it so much, we bought one for my parents and they fell in love too! Lol. It makes the most best, most fluffy, oil free popcorn ever. We are going full time in our 5th wheel next week and I’m so glad we could ditch our electric popper. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for all of the ideas. I have been watching your videos and thanks for the inspiration. You guys keep me wanting to share my experiences on my channel about RV tips and how-tos. Thanks for keeping me motivated. Good work to the both of you. Salute.
great ideas, I store my onions by themselves and my potatoes/sweet potatoes by themselves, reason being...While potatoes are sensitive to ethylene gasses, the reason to keep onions and potatoes apart has to do with moisture. Both onions and potatoes release moisture, which can lead to faster spoiling. It's best to store them separately in an area that has good air flow, is dry and somewhat cool... I have mine in hessian bags that are also lined with linen, bought online, they're amazing, store for more than 2 months without growing those roots or going off, love it. Also my garlic too, it has it's own baggy.
Just a quick note.... the reflectix inside the cabinets.... I noticed this in one of your vid's long ago and tried it. It works WONDERS!!! Cooled our cabinets down 15 degrees! Great in the AZ sun! I noticed it again and thought I'd mention. Thanks guys! ~Lynette
I was wondering about that. I will have my husband do that to ours. We just do weekend camping with the grandkids. But it get really hot here in Texas and my cabinet do get warm. Than You.

🌟We were super excited to meet you at the Super Show! You were so gracious and kind with each person speaking for you. You are worth the wait!!!😃 Love your kitchen organization! We have been watching you forever, it was great to see how your kitchen has evolved. Wayne and Carrie
Thank you Wayne and Carrie. The Super Show was a blast! We enjoyed meeting everyone. We never know how those meet ups will go and were pleasantly surprised at the turnout.
Great ideas on keeping a list and sticking to it. Tampa RV show is HUGE and you can easily get detracted and go a different direction. Bottom line is if you havent been there you have to go at least one time!!!
Great information on how to pack all your things. I’m sure we will use your ideas, Love your channel. Keep up the good work and stay healthy out there.
We’re not full timers and probably never will be , but we have the same rig as you and your videos and suggestions have helped us enjoy our rig more. Thank you.
The Ninja is perfect for making a Raccoon, an adult dessert beverage. I got the recipe from Bennie's Red Barn, here on Saint Simons Island, GA. One ounce each of brandy, Kahlua, and Amaretto, three scoops of chocolate ice cream. Pulse it a bit in the Ninja, pour in a glass, zap it with some whipped cream, add a cherry and you are good to go. Serves one. Mine, mine, mine. Totally healthy, because you deserve it.
LOL at Phil’s marinara comment in the bloopers...my immediate thought was “man Whole Foods must’ve had a great sale on marinara”. 😜 It was so great being one of the many who got to meet & chat with y’all at the show. You guys are absolutely “line worthy”! We also really enjoyed the show and learned so much for when we return. Aloha🤙🏼
Thanks so much Jen!! We were so glad we were able to meet you, finally! We cant always get to Whole Foods or other places with sugar free items. So when I am close by I have to stock up!!
So sorry we didn’t make it to Tampa! It looked like a great time! Quick tidbit... my daughter who thinks we’re crazy for wanting to do this, was home recently and watching one of your videos. I told her that you guys were already full timing and that your family thought you were crazy too. She watched the videos... never said a word.. yea or nay. About a week later texted me about an RV show near her and said “ time to stop watching UA-cam and get into see something you might want.” What?!!! Lol. So thanks to you guys for showing her that it can be done! She’s a hard sell! 💕
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing the animals as well, they’re Always enjoyable to see :-) we like your popcorn idea as well, tucks away nice and small... Thank you for all you share, helping to educate And entertain us ;-)
You had me 😂 today. The first was regarding lots of squirrels. I was at IKEA today, no need to say more about that 😂. The second was reaching your upper cupboards. I too must use the cushions. I am glad you showed off the 🍿 bowl. We eat a lot of it to stay away from too many chips. What a great find. I will be checking your Amazon link. Safe travels.
Since you're coffee drinkers, hold off on getting rid of the Ninja. They make the best mocha frappuccinos! Make an extra-strong cup of coffee with sweetener, creamer, and a tablespoon of cocoa. I use instant coffee to make it extra strong. Fill the drink container with ice, pour the coffee over and blend until smooth. Yum! Use decaf for a frappuccino on those warm summer evenings!
Love your videos. My husband and I have a 35 ft Grand Design Solitude 310 GK. Changed from a Class A to a 5th wheel 2 months ago. We have lots of storage in the Kitchen. To organize I use plate racks to store my pan and plastic bowl lids upright In a deep drawer. I also use stackable cabinet shelves as you do to utilize all the upper space and help organize pans and paper products.
I use a file folder rack to store my plates and nested bowls vertically. Also, as we have a small Class A, if you put a dish drying mat between your burners and the cover, it minimizes rattling when you're going down the road 😉👍
I use magazine boxes, tall and narrow, laying on their back. Skinny stuff is stored vertically: cutting boards, trays, paper plates, flattened colander, heat diffuser, 1/4 sheet tray.
Thank you for the great tips, we have new half ton Cougar Fifth wheel bunkhouse that has A LOT of unused space! Your ideas will help us in setting the kitchen up. We won't be going camping soon. 5 more years till retirement and 2 more months of Iowa winter. Love your channel, safe travels! Barb
I always found that the microwave is airtight and a great place to store things like bread or rolls! Need to use the microwave? Just place those items on the counter till you’re done!
It was great meeting you guys at the Super Show and swapping a few Navy stories with Phil. Love your toad...our is a graphite 2019 Trailhawk...great vehicle to pull! Great Video...wife loved the kitchen tips....guess I will be buying some more at Amazon! A+++
Funny thing, hubby grocery shops, I can't walk too great, but every time he comes back to the rv, it's time to re organize lol cause he never buy the same things hahaha
ROFL! We men have a "slight problem" with memory retention (UNLESS it has something to do with cars, hunting or barbecuing - in which case we can QUOTE FACTS GOING BACK a thousand years). hahahahaa.
I've found some nut jars that I'm going to try and use for food storage. The great part is they're free except for paying for the nuts and they're square so no wasted space.
Thank you for sharing your kitchen organization ideas. I gleaned a few ideas for my cabinets. Question: I see that you have reflectix at the back of your cabinets. Do you find that it helps with heat transfer? I haven't done that yet as I was told that the insulation quality (different from the light reflective quality) was only effective if there was a 1-2" air buffer between the wall and the product. I am curious to hear from someone actually using it.
wow. they do track you down wherever you go, 😂😂 that is amazing. but you do put out some amazing videos. I have shared your site to others who have just bought and are asking questions you have answered. So I guess you will get more FF (following friends). ok off to find my next one after the RV show. 😊.
Good afternoon. I am always watching and even re watching your videos. I have enjoyed them all. We hit the road in our new tiffin 2/10 full time! I have no idea how to blog or edit or film but I did come up with a fun name. If you are “you, me and the RV” then Danny and I are going to be “us and the bus”. Ok. Well maybe....keep them coming. We will cross paths someday.
great info, my wife Christina said to say Hi again great meeting you and to let you know she has to use a step stool or bench also to reach up high.... God Bless
Good Evening Y'all ☕️! I'd say most if not all of our storage & cabinet organization ideas have came from our go-to site; Pinterest. But when it comes to basement storage organization ideas, those always come from other RVers we've met or crossed paths along the way because lets face it, isn't much you can really do down there without getting creative! Happy Trails & Safe Travels.
Label the lids.. check! Dishes in the drawers... check! Layer the cupboards.. check! GAME CHANGERS!!! Next up: The Cuban Chef. Keep it comen y'all. God Bless!
What do you use to hang pictures in your coach? We watch you weekly and I cannot remember which episode you talked about it . Thanks for any tips you can offer !
Have an Airstream 27fb. my challenge is I'm 5 feet! but love your common sense approach. We do forgive you are Navy, we are Air Force and Army. lol I use lighting pucks for the deep shelves and pull out shelving from Container Store for the deep cabinets. Less is definitely more. Love your You Tube. Cynthia and Brent
IDK why or we missed this one. In your kitchen i didn't see where/how you keep tea/coffee cups. I want my stoneware. Husband says metal or plastic (I don't like hot plastic so I don't drink in plastic lined metal cups--travel mugs). Any suggestions (I know that a 'couple' who likes to 'get away' just puts LOTS of mugs in her cupboard so they don't have room to move.)
We couldn't make it to Tampa, but we'll see you in Live Oak for the RVillage Rally! We're really excited, this'll be our first rally! Maybe we can show you our silverware solution! 😉
I have a tiny Thor Axis for the two of us. It didn't take long to figure out that pans and plates belonged in drawers, not cabinets. Especially with the dogs. Even though they are good, I'd rather keep food up in the upper storage.
Hey ya’ll. Never miss a video - so glad I found you. Quick ? Does your bench seating have pull out drawers, if so what do you store there? Also, does your coffeepot stay put while driving down the road? Ours tends to slide around a bit but I have it sitting on those grippy cabinet liners and does better.
Yes, the benches have drawers. They have our misc items, office, computer stuff in them. The coffee pot stays on the counter without a problem although we do make sure it is always empty just in case.
Love the video! We must have missed you at the show! Love the kitchen part also...but I wondered about storing your potatoes and onions together? I have always been taught that you shouldn't due to spoilage....here's the reason --"While potatoes are sensitive to ethylene gasses, the reason to keep onions and potatoes apart has to do with moisture. Both onions and potatoes release moisture, which can lead to faster spoiling. It's best to store them separately in an area that has good air flow, is dry and somewhat cool.May 28, 2018" From the reluctant gourmet website. Anyway, love love love your videos !!
Another good video. Pat like you has more containers for stuff than the container store, but it does make storage easy (37PA). As to you Ninja use it to make great tasting HEALTHY banana - peanut butter ice cream. Only ingredients are bananas, peanut butter and a 1/4 cup of milk...unreal One of the only foods i missed as a diabetic was ice cream....NO MORE :D
Thank you for all your posts and videos! My husband just retired from the AF; I'm about to take a long break from my job and we're headed out on the road for a year or so... one question which I am not clear on and hope you can shed some light on is the model travel trailer we are looking at has a convection instead of traditional or microwave oven. I hear this is great however I cannot seem to nail down the type of plates I can use in the convention oven. Naturally I want lightweight plates and other cooking containers - and hopefully a kind that doesn't break easily but am so confused about what is possible. Any recommendations? Thank you!!!
If it is is a combo (convection/microwave) which most are, then any microwavable plate will work for the microwave part. If using the convection (baking or oven feature) then an approved oven dish. Hope this helps.
We don't have many of those. We do use a flashlight for walking Gizmo at night and I do use a headlamp while working on the Ruby at night or in the storage bays. We do keep one by the bed just in case we lose total power.
Some great video and tips, guys. Would love to hang out with you guys and pick your double brain power; some great stuff in there, I know! Y'all Be Safe!
Another great video. We have several years of part time RVing but we found that you once again showed us several things we had not thought of. Now to order several of them. Question. It looks like you put reflectance material in your upper cabinets. Does it help?? Thanks
Yes the refectics does work. We have to redo some of it as the tape we used didn't hold against the ceiling. We are going to use VHB tape which is way stronger than most.
Sorry I didn't make it to the Tampa RV Super Show to meet ya's . I was so disappointed I missed ya's . Are ya's by chance still in the Tampa Bay area so we can meet up for a meal together ? I went to the 2019 RV show . Stacy dang ! You have a lot more cabinet space then I have in my recently remodeled apartment kitchen . I have only 1 drawer now . I'm very unhappy & so is every body else in the building as well . Are you for hire to organize my kitchen LOL !! ?
Was wondering if you still had you electric Bikes. Haven't seen them for a bit. If so are they working out OK? Flew down to the show from Vermont. So Sorry I missed you.
Nice video if you have all that room. In some 5th wheelers you just do not have all the room. How do you find the public lands? Oh, I was not trying too be sarcastic about the room. Love our 5th wheeler, we have a lot of room for what we need.
Did you guys know w/ Battle Born Lithium batteries your converter/charger that charges your batteries can charge you batteries super fast when running generator or plugged in? Need to see what converter/charger you have, check to see if adjustable, also double check with Battleborn for correct setting for your set up. I charge mine up completely in about 1hr or less. You have more batteries so it might take longer, but kinda nice when you don't have lots of sunshine & you want minimal generator on time ;-)
We appreciate you sharing your organization tips. QUESTION: the RV geeks said that a residential refrigerator draws a lot of power and drains the battery quickly. Have you found that to be the case?
I see you have the foil insulation in the back or your cabinets. does that make a big difference and do you have to remove it periodically to clean behind and make sure there isn't any moisture behind it.
It does make a difference. We noticed right away and have not noticed moisture build up. We are actually going to redo it as the adhesive we used didn't take to the ceiling material.
What are the rule for handicap power chairs/scooters? My knees and back would never let me walk that much. I know they rent wheelchairs. We've lost some space because we have a dishwasher. We have a Euro booth table set up so we have draws under the seat.
I picture Stacy showing off her kitchen organization skills and then after filming being unable to place everything back in place. Btw Stacy you seem so tall in this video. Almost like you’re standing up on a seat.
Thanks so much for the video and it was awesome meeting y’all 👍

Great tips for the RV. Florida RV show looked so fun. I wished I could have been there. Great video as always :)
You have great organizing tips just finished doing all my spices with products you recommended

Yum!! Will have to try this.
Great info. One my top desires for my future RV is a nice size kitchen.
Great video! Yes Phil, a sipping drink makes all the difference! I (Paul) agree! We are currently in dry February . Shorter month to do it I 😁
smh!!! Dont give him ideas.
We enjoyed meeting you guys too! 😀

Good afternoon. I am always watching and even re watching your videos. I have enjoyed them all. We hit the road in our new tiffin 2/10 full time! Thanks for noticing! LOL
I lived in the happy traveler rv park from 2008-2014

Next up: The Cuban Chef. Keep it comen y'all. God Bless!
We LOVE Chef!! btw he has a brand new little grandbaby! So cute.
What do you use to hang pictures in your coach? We watch you weekly and I cannot remember which episode you talked about it . Thanks for any tips you can offer !
Command strips that can hold 5 or 10 lbs.
Somewhere in you videos you recommended a particular tape or adhesive for counter top objects could you please list it again.
Great ideas on the pull out shelving. We can't all make the right service choice.....GO Navy! LOL . Thank you both for your service!
IDK why or we missed this one. In your kitchen i didn't see where/how you keep tea/coffee cups. I want my stoneware. That trip would have been fun. I'm headed to New Orleans, and Orlando this month for hardware buying markets.
I have a tiny Thor Axis for the two of us. It didn't take long to figure out that pans and plates belonged in drawers, not cabinets. Especially with the dogs. Even though they are good, I'd rather keep food up in the upper storage.
would recommend a come-along, straps, and an anchoring system in case you do get stuck, then you can self rescue from the back or front.
Great suggestions! Paula and I really enjoy your videos. What happens to the coffee maker when you're on the road? May be my greatest kitchen concern.
Hey ya’ll. Never miss a video - so glad I found you. Quick ? Does your bench seating have pull out drawers, if so what do you store there? Thanks for video
Do you have a link for the air tight storage containers? Great video 👍🏻
Sorry I forgot those. Here ya go: amzn.to/2OiTtAu

That sounds delicious! I may need to try that out. Phil does LOVE ice cream.
Great share but I missed where you keep your coffee mugs?
In the cabinet right above the coffee pot. We only have two mugs....so they don't take up much space.
Did you line the insides of your cabinets with heat reflective sheets?? That is a great idea!!! Rick (the hubby) is a Crown drinker as well.
Yes, it made a big difference.
what do you have on the back inside your cabinets? It looks shiny?
Thank you for all your posts and videos! Could you maybe talk about lighting that you may have such as flashlights and headlamps lanterns things like that?
We don't have many of those. We do use a flashlight for walking Gizmo at night and I do use a headlamp while working on the Ruby at night or in the storage bays. We do keep one by the bed just in case we lose total power.
Thank you, this help both of us Ref. to inside. Can y'all do a outside video.:):), we have a Forest River Berkshire 390QS.
I would like to know about the reflective material also. Thanks for all you 2 do.
Skully? Where's Mulder??? The truth is out there!!! 😂😂😂
We are already heading North. Tampa was a blast...we will be back!
Was wondering if you still had you electric Bikes. Haven't seen them for a bit. If so are they working out OK? Flew down to the show from Vermont. So Sorry I missed you.
We do! We love them! Still looking for a hitch receiver for the Jeep though.
Nice video if you have all that room. In some 5th wheelers you just do not have all the room. How do you find the public lands? Oh, I was not trying too be sarcastic about the room. Love our 5th wheeler, we have a lot of room for what we need.
Check out our blog on our website, todayissomeday.net
We noticed reflectives on the back of the cabinets. Can you tells us the reasoning?
Lou & Angie 💚❤
I was just going to ask the same question. ??
Refletix insulation. The cabinets on the sunny side of the rv get very warm inside in southern summers due to sun heating the outside.
It helps keep the heat inside the cabinets down. We could tell a difference right away.
@@todayissomeday Excellent idea, something to consider.
Lou💚
I wondered the same thing. Thank you for asking. My new motto is if Stacy has it I need it too.
Hi there! Thanks for this. Where did you get the Tupperware holder that your bento boxes are in? See you on the road.
Never mind I see it is your adjustable baking rack. Thanks for another great video guys.
You have more batteries so it might take longer, but kinda nice when you don't have lots of sunshine & you want minimal generator on time ;-)
Good to know.....will look into that.
We appreciate you sharing your organization tips. QUESTION: the RV geeks said that a residential refrigerator draws a lot of power and drains the battery quickly. Have you found that to be the case?
Our fridge doesn't draw that much. It's main draw is when the compressor comes on.
You, Me & the RV Thanks ❤️
I see you have the foil insulation in the back or your cabinets. does that make a big difference and do you have to remove it periodically to clean behind and make sure there isn't any moisture behind it.
It does make a difference. We noticed right away and have not noticed moisture build up. We are actually going to redo it as the adhesive we used didn't take to the ceiling material.
@@todayissomeday What adhesive would you recommend, spray on?
Have you thought about vlog on heat/cold weather tips. Thanks!
What are the rule for handicap power chairs/scooters? My knees and back would never let me walk that much. I know they rent wheelchairs. We've lost some space because we have a dishwasher. We have a Euro booth table set up so we have draws under the seat.
They were everywhere so I guess there isn’t a restriction at the Tampa show.
I have nuwave air fryer..its big...any suggestions how i could have that in my rv when i purchase one?
Take a look at the Ninja 6-1 air fryer that we have. It folds up out of the way when not in use.
👍👍👍👍
What is that foil stuff against the walls in your cabinets and the purpose for it?
It is called refectics, can be found on Amazon and home improvement stores. It helps keep the heat down in your cabinets and RV overall.
Another Q: where did you get your flattish mixing / serving bowls I see in your cupboard? Thanks!
Those were bought at Disney. They are perfect for the RV.
I have such a mess with my kitchen. I have to do something, sadly it’s hard because the cabinets are so big
I picture Stacy showing off her kitchen organization skills and then after filming being unable to place everything back in place. Btw Stacy you seem so tall in this video. Almost like you’re standing up on a seat.
Hahaha! Phil may have to reach a few things over the sink.
Cutest baseball jersey ever :) where did you get it “love story”?
Love it :) thanks for the videos
Thanks! It is actually from a church retreat I did a few years ago. That was the theme.
@@todayissomeday its adorable! Take care :) and thank you for taking the time to reply!
Trish....tell me about the silver insulation in your cabinets..thanks
Who's Trish? LOL . The reflectics helps keep the heat lower in the cabinets. We noticed a difference right away.
I saw your faces on the flyer of Battle Born Get Together. Do you have a link?
Thats cool! Where were you when you saw the flyer? We do have a link: battlebornbatteries.com?afmc=2e
Just wondering how to find the dates for the super shows.
Do a search on the web for RV shows and the year and you will see a lot of them pop up. They do them almost the same time each year.
So ... where do you store the wine?
In my belly!! LOL......There are smaller cabinets that we keep them in. Small tension rods help them stay in while traveling.
👍😁
Enjoyed the Video. Y’all come see us
Where are ya'll?
We just delivered in SoCal and headed over to Quartzsite for a Day and then deliver 2 RVs to Camping World Avondale AZ.
Lol when I said Come See Us. I was talking about. Our Channel.
Please don’t mix onions and potatoes. Thy will sprout. Nice packing.
I’m trying to listen to what you’re saying but I’m distracted by the corn dogs and sausage in the background
Figure out how to make that healthy food taste like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Ha!
I wish!!!
