I love this kind of video. Vlogs and day in the life are really interesting to me and often give me inspiration for the day to day care of my own animals. I already do everything in all the care guides but I like seeing what other people do with their pets outside of the usual care guide stuff.

  • @mewster1818

I'd love your opinion on the best "display" animals.
While handleability is important, some animals are always going to be more for looking at rather than interacting with. Like neon day geckos, tree pythons, and chameleons, technically you could handle them but people mostly get them to have a beautiful piece of nature in their homes.
I'd also love to see a video meeting your entire collection some day.
Also just to add, for the people who are thinking "wow that takes up too much time"... well that's true for any animal generally. Pet dogs require multiple feedings, the ability to go outside regularly, and a daily walk or playtime. A single dog arguably takes up just as much time as his 75 reptiles do to keep depending on the type of dog.

Ik u prob ain't looking for my opinion but....
I personally recommend larger species of land snails, provided you can find a LEGAL breeder. In the U.S this means the species they breed can't be banned, and they can't be shipped across state borders or international borders.
But if you can find them, they're really cheap and easy. They also tend to move alot throughout the day. And they can be cohabbed. While they aren't TECHNICALLY a reptile, they're still wicked.

Little maintenance tasks add up :) I find it a little annoying keeping up wi the feeder bugs, they need fed pretty frequently. But it makes me feel good knowing my monitor has a varied healthy diet.
I'm enjoying raising spiderlings, but they take a lot of time. I have over 100 that need fed every couple days- I don't know how folks with multiple spider clutches keep up with hundreds of spiderlings and have any spare time. It's a long task. I love them, but I look forward to when they're old enough to have a new home and I can just enjoy my keepers for a bit :) But I do also look forward to when they're old enough to breed next year.
I can't imagine having that many reptiles and still having time to hold them after caring for them, and working full time O.o

I’d be interested in a burmation video or series of videos. When and why to burmate, do we have to burmate, benefits of burmating, preparing for burmation, coming out of burmation. I’ve never burmated my snakes, I am also not going to breed them, the 2 I have right now are under 8 months old. I have a corn and a ball, I had to give up my last snakes a year after getting them because I physically couldn’t care for them at the time. My beardie was the only reptile that I have had that ever burmated and she chose to do that on her own, usually at the start of monsoon season and would wake 4 to 6 weeks later. This year she didn’t wake, she died in her sleep, she was just old. But a month before (after the first year) I would up her feed for a couple of weeks to put a little weight on her and the week before I would stop feeding her, soak her several times make sure she was all pooped out then give her cage a full break down cleaning. I think you mentioned once not burmating you Animals that you have them on a natural day light cycle that mimics the season. But yes burmation information would be great or point me at videos you may have already done. I just discovered your channel in October so I am trying to go through them. Investors been binge watching.
