I had brain surgery for two unruptured brain aneurysms back in February but when they did surgery they found a third.. They clipped all three but I was left with optic nerve damage to the right eye... I suffer from headaches daily. I'm just thankful to still be alive... Recovering is hard but with a great support system it can ease alot of mixed emotions... I pray that anyone who ever has to go through this experience knows that they are not alone...

I am taking organic white oak tea from Amazon.
I had the surgery on July 1st.
They couldn't put the clip on it.
I will have an endovascular treatment soon.
Keep a healthy diet high with antioxidants. Beta carotene it's really good for the eye health, get the highest levels on pills from Amazon.
      Keep your blood pressure good.
God is taking care of you

It has been four weeks since my unruptured brain aneurysm clipping surgery, and I feel great. I did not have any issues at all. I did not have any pain, headaches, fatigue, or any other side effects. I was able to walk and do my normal activities the day after my surgery. I returned to work after three weeks. I could have returned to work two weeks after my surgery, but my doctor really wanted me to stay home for at least three weeks. My doctor told me that he has been practicing for almost 40 years and has never seen anyone recover so fast.

I was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm almost two years ago after having a first time seizure at the age of 53. My doctors performed a crainiotomy to clip the double feeds and it was a success! I was released five days later! I am blessed to be alive even though I have had several seizures since. I am on meds for that and will be probably for life but tht is ok because I have a life! Thanks Dr. John Johnson and the surgical team at Huntsville hospital in Alabama!

I too had brain surgery for an unruptured wide neck aneurysm on my communicating artery in December 2019. It was one of the most scariest times of my life! I remember having tears when they wheeled me into the OR. After everything has been said and done I am so very grateful for my Drs I had at the time! I know they will never see this post but I would like to give a humongous shout out to Dr. Kellett and Dr. Medela of Colorado Springs. I wouldn't be here if not for them! ❤️🥰❤️

Jayden Michelle I was sore around my groin area because that's where my Dr went through to get to my brain. I couldn't lift more than a gallon of milk for 2 or so weeks. And I had to most ugliest bruise for what seemed like an eternity.
I had slight headaches for a couple weeks (way better than before surgery).
When my Dr found my aneurysm it was almost at 6 and had grown in 4 months before surgery. It was on two major arteries one being my communicating artery. I'm so glad they found it otherwise I might not be here. Good luck! I know how scared you feel.

      @andreaswanger7141 2 роки тому

BTW....I had a mesh coil inserted in my aneurysm. I was a fairly new procedure in the area I was at. My Dr did extremely well. I moved later and my new Dr had only been using mesh coiling for 6 months and was impressed after an angiogram.

    • @andreaswanger7141
      @andreaswanger7141 2 роки тому

My aneurysm was an anterior communicating artery aneurysm and a wide neck aneurysm and was/is on two major arteries. My neurosurgeon thought the best option was a mesh coiling which a newer kind of coiling. This December will be 3 years since surgery and other than a slight headache here or there I feel great. I've had 3 angiograms (once every year on the anniversary) but now it's CT or MRI's from now on unless they see something. But I'm confident with my old Dr. He also fused bones in my neck (c-3 and c-4)

I don't have high blood pressure but had high (bad) cholesterol. I take baby aspirin and I take Lipitor. I'm allowed one hour a day of exercise. I mostly walk because I have drop foot and a bad knee on the same leg. I have gone to physical therapy for the drop foot. My therapist knows about all the other stuff so they kind of take it easy on me to an extent.

I had been suffering from migraine since 2012.
My mom had 4 aneurysm back in 2003, one of them got burst.
She survived, she got a big surgery with 3 clibs on her brain.

Hi Jael, did you get your surgery? My daughter just had a surgery and she's very well she had a rupture on the artery and was 13 day on ICU but she's well thanks God!!

      Hi,
Yes, I had the surgery on July 1st.
Had like 4 or 5 hours on the ICU.
Then a narcotic room until July 2nd .
Then a normal room until July 4th in the afternoon I was sent home.
I got my right side of the face very swallowed along with my right eye.
However, the doctor couldn't put the clip on the Aneurysm.
I will have a endovascular treatment very soon.
Your daughter has to keep the blood pressure good.
      Healthy diet.
      Not getting stressed.
      Live style changes.
My mom had 4 Aneurysm when she was 46, one of them got ruptured.
She spent like 35 days in the ICU.
She got 3 clips on her brain.
She's 64 now, she working and leaving a normal life.
She's checking with doctor every 6 months.
I got some organic white oak tea from Amazon, I heard it's good for Aneurysm.
I started taking it like a month before surgery, then I stopped 7 days, then continued, it helps with pain and helps with surgery recovery.
I am sending all my love to you and your daughter to faster recovery.

My grandmother suffered a catastrophic brain aneurysm at 38 years old, my mother suffered a ruptured aneurysm at 40 and thankfully survived. At 32 years old I had been suffering horrible headaches that seemed to appear during times of high stress and could only relieve the pain with a trip to the hospital - EVERY TIME! During one of these trips the hospital staff actually paid attention to my family history so they performed a CT the revealed what looked like 2 aneurysms...turns out it was an abnormally shaped 9mm aneurysm with a wide base, which meant coiling it was not an option. After the surgery which was beyond anything anyone could have prepared me for, my body rejected the hardware and I had to have the 4 plates and 10 screws removed. I have nerve damage because of the incisions which has left me with one crazy battle scar but I'm here to tell the story and for that I am grateful.
**All of my doctors dismissed the possibility of an aneurysm because they aren't "hereditary"....but they really are, even if it's only environmental genetics...

      Also I'm suffering from migraines.

      Please pray for me!

In 1995 I had a big almost ruptured brain aneurysm. I was extremely lucky because it was accidentally discovered and had surgery and during the procedure I surprised the team with an intensive seizure. I was 28 yo and healthy, the professor was really talented, he came back from the USA with a back then new surgery method plus I was healthy and fit so I am still here👍 In the first 5 years I went for a CT check up yearly. But I had to quit the intensive training and some other physical activity. The side effects mentally were/are more significant like PTSD, anxiety and depression. Anyway I feel so blessed and thank God I got extra decades. I was on anticonvulsant for a year but seizures never returned it was a good reminder that health is one of the most important thing. 👍

I was diagnosed with two brain aneurysms, 9mm and 6mm on each side of the brain located on the brain cavity. These were found as a result of an MRI for a prolactinoma tumour I was having monitored. The decision to do surgery was made for me given the size and location. I had my first surgery last week and they did endovascular stent. I’m recovering but very tired. I was very anxious leading into it as it isn’t a minor procedure although non invasive as compared to a craniotomy. They would not do both at the same time so my next will be in 4-6 months.

Over the last 3 months I have been forgetting names of people and common items like paintbrushes and other household items (a sneaky trick to get out of doing chores maybe? I live alone so, no net benefit to this game). I get very depressed and angry and have had a terrible ringing in my ears for a few weeks. They found a second one that wasn’t posing an issue at the time but her surgeon said she could be proactive and get it taken care as soon as she recovers and feels she is able to. Well, fast forward to just a couple of days ago. She had the second surgery but it didn’t go well. A significant error was made. We are being told it doesn’t look good.
