I am blessed to have a Toyota master mechanic down here in Georgia USA... he replaced the 5.7L in my 2007 Tundra at his home shop a month ago, and by all accounts it was a smooth and successful operation. He did remove the hood to make the job even easier. The head gasket failed in cylinder #7 at 316,000 miles and the tear down revealed cylinder wall scoring ... it's clear that the previous owners ran the engine low on oil. The replacement engine has about 80,000 miles, and he installed new head gaskets as well as a lot of other parts while the engine was out of the truck. I think my truck is good to go another 300,000 miles.
I dont have a tundra neither have any plans to buy one but still watched the video, your instructions are the best among all the youtube mechanics. I hope you will open your shop in AB one day

@@montefiveforty1 The engine I removed wasn’t blown up, just swapping a built one in with forged internals that can take the abuse.
