yes mate , you are very observant , the guide actually gets a kick back if they get tourists to go inside the stores and buy things ,its all interwoven , the guides work with the sellers , glad you could see it , and the places they tend to take you are much more expensive than average prices on the street ,keep your eyes out for pick pockets in these areas as they are more prevalent in high crowds .
Consider traveling to south india specially kerala , or himachal pradesh or Northeast india or andaman Islands, and lakswadeep Islands. These are quiet and clean areas, i dont like crowded areas, too much noise, and not so clean, it just drains my energy. I am indian by the way.
I went on for a trip from January till March(Northern india). I was devastated by so much noise and crowd in cities then I decided to visit himalays,,, man that was the best decision and I also avoid tourist places like tajmahal, even if I had to visit I choose early hours when people are still sleeping 😂 India is like a continent, it is so beautiful, thank you for the honest opinion about cities though😂😂. As a nature lover, I understand what you have been through. I am disappointed that u left so early. Please come back and Rent a bike and enjoy quiter rural India, Its a land of mysticism and also advanced architecture can be seen in old hindhu and budhist temples, you will definitely have a better perspective about India, let me know if u need any help next time🙏🇮🇳
@Kampala_Harris that made me laugh haha 🤣 in old town traffic is better than Sydney, Sydney traffic is horrible, the roads are too small and too many people
Yeah I got confused becasue some people told me new town, others said old Delhi lol 🤷🏻 I was only there for one day, it's just a mistake. Don't read too deep into it lol
