Such a sweet video! I was playing farming simulator when I was a child and I didn’t expect the reality to be even more beautiful. Thank you for sharing this!
Hello from NC. Thanks for taking time to video and show us the activities on your farm. Enjoy your content. Hope you hve great success with your channel.
Looking good brother. Definitely going to try some stuff next year. Planted wheat and raddish after corn on a farm this year for a cover crop before beans. Hit it with the ripper rolller before planting and see if we can push some indeterminate beans as well. Hopefully be a nice test plot for trying different products and seeing what we can do. Thanks for the content!
Experimentation is the key. I try not to ever put all my eggs in the same basket. Different varieties, field preps, plant dates, seed rates, constant experimentation.
Asgro 1435 Used to be one of the better soybeans up here. You will have to try V3 foliar feed based upon a sap test and then an R3. If not a little sooner Feed based upon plant test again but also pushing some potassium calcium and a touch of nitrogen. To see if it doesn't take it to the next level?
I told the seed rep when filming the secrets to high soybean yields how much more the 54s were going to do and he shrugged and said “we’ll see.” He already knew.
@@Ashoknagar-farming they are currently $9 for 25.4 kilograms ( 1 bushel). This is an incredibly low price and it is projected to fall further. I got paid $12 a bushel for the beans in this video, which was recorded last year.
That’s not what I saw. You have to run that low. Slow the reel to where it’s a fraction faster than ground speed. I plant Channel beans here in Missouri. Carrollton Mo. No fert. Just steady rotation. 100 acres made 74bu. Drought year but got enough rain at the right time I guess. Beans 10 miles away with 2.5” of less rain only made 56. 😊
Fertilizer was custom blend per soil test. Broadcast pre-plant and incorporated. Yield per acre was in another video, I document the entire certification process. I think it was 76 bushels
The yield per acre is in the video. I discuss it at length and even show how we measured it. My fertilizer is custom blend per soil sample analysis. Incorporated pre-plant.
Fertilizer is custom blend per soil sample analysis. Yield per acre is in the video after that one. I show the entire process of certifying the yield (76 bushels/acre)

Thanks Patrick!!! That was very interesting and I am like you, I thought the taller beans was gonna be better. God bless you and your family
The pod count on the taller beans seemed insurmountable but the 53s must have averaged more beans per pod.
Patrick great job as usual. That is an unreal job anywhere. My friends in Iowa are jealous.
Thanks for watching Chris!

Which spray should be used to get maximum branches of soybean and to fill the grain?
@@XYZ00747 proper fertilizer and water, not spray
I am shocked on the 53vand 54, I would have bet the 54s were going to harvest a lot more over the 53

What is the horizontal and vertical distance between each plant ?? Plz tell me
36” between rows, 1-2” between plants in row.
@@PatrickShivers so your plants population is around 110k to 115k per acre ?? Is that correct ?

Did that soybean yield break the Clay County record?
It is higher than every farmer I talked to, but by a slim margin. I was wanting 80 to be able to claim the undisputed record.
@PatrickShivers dang maybee
you can get 80 bushel beans next year
We are almost ready for bean harvest here in southern Mexico , What kind of fertilization did you do on your beans ?
