New sub. I am hooked on this channel. I like the way that everything is explained and is easy to understand. I await the laying of track eagerly. Paul in Cornwall, England. Ex British Rail guard.
So exciting, getting so close to the big milestone ready for track, keep up the insane effort you all are putting in! Don’t see many people building large scale railroads like this, let alone documenting it all!
Man o man That was close with the dump truck. One wrong move and the truck could've easily wound up on it's back. Driver is like me, a lil bit, skilled and full of testicular fortitude behind the steering wheel. I like that a whole lot boys... Such a great family and farm! I think you all are Awesome 👍😎 Keep it chugging along because I'll be watching you all and loving it boys...😊 Excellent 👌👍 I love it ... 😷🚖🛣️🚕😁✌️🌞🎯💯💪
If you don't have one, you should have got a laser to shoot grade yourself. That way, you could have checked every 5 or 10 feet to make sure it's perfect instead of guessing and eyeballing it between those surveyors' stakes. For such a large project, you could have gotten a cheaper one, so if you never use it again then you've not spent a large amount on it. I'd say though that if you did get one, you'd definitely find other jobs that using it on would be a big help and I dont think it would get put up and forgotten about. A grade control dozer would be awesome to get your grade perfect. Still need a laser for it though unless that has changed. I don't know a lot about the grade control equipment that goes on dozers and how it actually work now-a-days.
It's so exciting to see how far you guys got done this busy summer. Have you guys thought of having a good old friend make an enterens sign each side of the driveway and railroad cross the tracks? I have been sharing your videos and story on the little steam locomotive 🚂 to my family and friends here in Idaho. I am hoping 🙏 some year will make it out there one of these years when you get this all built.
@@MiTreeHugger11 As a former state employee, the only time I got to lean on a shovel was while waiting at the end of the row for the tractor to return from the other end of the row. And you always wanted to be up wind of where you had just covered the end of the plastic. Because under that plastic mulch was a mixture of tear gas and Methyl Bromide.
Cant wait to visit one day!

You and John Cavanna over near Hartford, Connecticut should get together.
He's building a railroad on his property.
This is amazing. I'm following you from brasil.
Good progress.
Love seeing the progress
