It's a level above what we've had so far in 10th edition and boy I can't wait to see what everyone cooks up with the T'au Empire going forward! I'm super excited that you're excited! Ever since they revealed they were doing Kroot nearly as their own army, I have been IRRESPONSIBLY hyped. And I don't really like Tau otherwise! I'm super looking forward to seeing all your skin recipes so I can learn new ways to paint up my Kroot! That being said, yeah, it seems if you want to be at least competitive with the Kroot detachment, you are going to have to have some Tau backup, like a Sky Ray or some Crisis Suits, because the Kroot themselves don't have anything to deal with heavy armour. BUT STILL! KROOT!

I've had my crisis suits on the shelf because I am too scared to magnetise and too scared to glue due to making a bad strategic choice. I'll be building them soon the those changes are good for me.

Aha is it now time to buy a tau codex , I have a 1k list on Warhammer app that I'm intending to build, I've still never played but I'm planning on doing a few different 1k armies. Tau was the first unit I bought after not painting them since I was a teenager

i know thisll be an odd complaint, but i hope this isnt the way theyre going to do the boxes for army box releases going forward, much prefer a simple box with lid approach as i like to use these boxes to store models, and a lid is much safer/easier for storing the built models than sliding a tray in and out
