- I spent far too long in Kmart feeling all the minifig bags to hopefully get a complete set of Muppets minifigures. Was I successful? Let's find out.....also, a few changes to the Lego Friends Theatre to make it more old-timey vaudeville-style. And some scenery for Kermit and The Rainbow Connection. Ooo and an old-style upright piano for Rowlf (who has the best accessories, check out the tiny printing on the sheet music and the two faces on the Beethoven bust). This is a great CMF series 😍

I need one of these! They did a great job with the likenesses. I would have preferred Dr Teeth instead of Janice, but otherwise Miss Piggy would be the only female in the series so I get why they would include her. Statler and Waldorf in the balcony are so perfect! I can hear them laughing in my head.
I didn’t even clock that there weren’t many females. Just goes to show how male-centric even the muppets were 🤔

The minifigs and that set, are the best combination ever 😍
I heard the guy in charge of approving Lego sets is a huge Muppet fan. I think that's why the Muppet minifigures & this theater set were released close together.
The reason Statler comes with a laptop is because Statler & Waldorf are featured in a few UA-cam videos heckling the Muppets' videos.
Also, Scooter is featured on the screen because in the (poorly written) Muppets Now show he directs the show from his laptop.
To be fair, Muppets Now was actually written as a series of shorts, that was hastily retooled into a full show after Muppets Live Another Day fell through.

I love the muppets and once these came out I was feeling the bags just to try to get myself a full set. Kermit was the hardest to find.

Ellie! My mom and I built a muppet theater with my Lego pieces and not out of a set! And my dad collected all the characters! And your videos are awesome! I can take a picture of the theater that I made and put it in comment (if I can figure out how to do it)

Was really nice to see Richard Hunt so well represented in these figures (Janice, Beaker and Statler,, he was also Scooter and Sweetums). I highly recommend Matt Baume's video on him, though it is a bit heartbreaking at the end.
Yup! Most muppets are left-handed. But I guess Lego were too lazy to make a left-handed guitar for Janice, so she ended up right-handed in Lego.
😂😂😂😂 omg every single packet opened was full of glee and nostalgia, they are perfect! Worth the time spent loitering in Kmart (I always thought you had some secret contact who sent you a full set, but no, you’re DIY-ing and risking I dunno, some secret Kmart watch-list). Anyway they’re soooo good and perfect in the theatre!

Perfection! Kermit and Janice are both left handed btw. It has to do with the fact that their puppeteers are right handed so with the puppet on the right hand it’s easier to strum with the rod in the puppeteer’s left hand. I’m a Muppet geek! Puppets and LEGO…that’s my jam.

I love these figures, I watched the Muppets a lot as a kid. Unfortunately my wife finds them terrifying so the show and the mini figs are off limits for me.

Yaaaaaaaaas I love the Muppets and I watched it everyday when I was younger and I technically still do ( I'm gonna be 13 in 2 weeks and I told my cousin's that I still watch the Muppets and they looked at me like I'm some weirdo I'm surprised they didn't look at me weird when I told them I still build and play with Lego 🤣 anyway I'm side tracking) when I found out about this theater I was like it is PERFECT for the Muppets

I am absolutely getting the theater. I is almost perfect for the Muppets (modify some colors like you did),but I see so many cmf series minifigs in here too. Like; the current series 23. The knight and dragon fighting, the snowman/nutcracker/faerie for a hoilday show. so on and so forth. Was planning to do at least some set designs (maybe not as good as your Kermit set though). I don't think I ever plan on it being foldedup; which is a bit of a shame since the front facade is kind of nice. Thank you very much for sharing. If you do make an orchestra pit; please give us an update video.

If Lego doesn't make a series 2 of the Muppets I am going to be so disappointed. I need pigs in space (although that would include another Miss Piggy, not a bad thing), and more of the Electric Mayhem. I also want Waldorf and Stadler's suits to be available (maybe even in other colors) for generic minifigs. Minifigs tend heavily toward caual or costume wear. When I set mine up I plan to have the Sesame St. minifigs in the audience, especially since Big Bird did make a guess appearance in the 1st movie. TFS

I think that Statler has a computer, because at the end of a lot of muppets videos, Statler and Waldorf are on a computer saying they're disapproving things. Intead of Janice I would have chosen "I Sam, the American Eagle". Also, I think you should make some custom ones for the other members of Electric Mayham, and build them a stage thingy to perform on.
I have let set that you put in that scenery. Just a few things chaged.
YES!! This looks fantastic! Janice was a weird choice for me too. I was hoping for Scooter, or maybe Rizzo the rat? But. Lego did such a great job with these that I can’t complain too much. I am still on the hunt for Animal to complete my set. Off to the stores I go 🤞🏻💸
I bet Rizzo isn’t featured bc 1) Janice for female inclusion, and 2) Rizzo’w voice actor had a falling out with Disney
Performer is the better term, since they also physically puppeteer the character. Honestly though, I think the biggest problem with the little guys like Rizzo is scale.
