Yes. It's not all fun and games...but it's worth it. That's one heck of a streak of bad luck though! Add the high cost of diesel, and it's a Summer to forget for us big guys. Cheers to better days ahead!

Man, your patience with this is ......... impressive. I've wanted to get an LMTV for some time, but, well, California, so...... but i would probably have burnt mine to the ground by now, clearly i just don't have the patience for one.

Awesome solution to the mirror wobble!! I’ve been following you since before I got my lmtv and have bought a lot of the same parts as you including the mirrors and they wobble like crazy!
Especially on a washboard road.
Note to self, if I ever build a LMTV rig, mount A/C on roof and be very very scared of the dash wiring…
I have lots of truck beds “sprayed” but never in a “color”, did not know it was possible to pressure wash the “color” off, live and learn!
Apparently they normally color match the base coat as well but it was shot in black base and a color coat applied over the top. Live and learn.

Can you provide information on where you purchased your exterior mirrors
I got them from eBay. If I where to do it again I would get the version that mounts top and bellow the window. I like the mirrors, and haven’t had any issues. But for piece of mind long term I’d go with the top and bottom mount. It’s a custom one I built. There are videos on how I built it on the channel.
A gripe about your sound levels. The music during the work montage was annoyingly loud and thumpy after I had adjusted the level to hear your voice clearly.

Thank you so much for your videos. I'm considering getting one of these to build a camper. But i'm trying to figure out the logistics of it first. How hard is it to get parts?
Depends on the parts. The drive train is easy to get but body parts can be a pain. Also anyone considering one of these rigs should talk to their insurance agent first. Insurance is alway a pain depending on where you are.
@@BrokeOverLand I bet. I used to drive these in the Army but we had a platoon of mechanics to fix everything. Now i'm looking into this as a full time RV option but i'm seeing that there is a lot of maintenance haha.
Yep, with proper maintenance they are reliable. But they are still 20+ year old trucks. That spent most of their lives being driven by 19 year olds. :)
Bummer on the color de-lamination but good on the local shop standing behind their work/product. I hope it is sorted this time.
Totally, they really went out of their way to make it right.
I am wondering if they just shot over top the bad coat or did the right thing and removed the original. Leaving it on seems like it is just asking for a 3rd trip to them

I used to have greys before I got the truck - now I have mostly none at all 😩🤣😩
