Hey I was just in Duck, NC a few weeks ago and it was a really fun visit. Kitty Hawk monument is worth a stop and the whole time I was there I thought about how far air travel has come in 100 years.

Do you get this question: What is all this actually for? To out do the next door neighbor? Or to get you 8 miles per gallon and pollute the environment. This is totally unnecessary. From someone who has traveled to 50 + countries 😉
Absolutely I get that question, I usually point out reusing a 23 year old truck and driving it 20 to 30k miles has way less environmental impact than buying a new RV even if it gets better mileage. I would love to see the impact data for new vs reusing an existing vehicle. As for the what is this all for? The answer is: Making memories and sharing those experiences and it’s something to do.

Hey Chad! If you guys eventually get to the Midwest, head over to Dayton, Ohio. It really doesn't have drawing power as a city and is quite run down, like so many cities in the rust belt, but if you like military history you will need to stop at the US Air Force Museum outside of Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Prepare for several days there. It's that big. If you like tanks, and find yourself in the wonderful Columbus, Georgia area, Fort Benning (Fort Moore now) has a very large tank collection.
I'll second fort Moore. the infantry museum is almost unbelievable, absolutely worth a visit.

Very cool. American heritage museum looks like an incredible place to visit. Looking forward to your Boston recap. My son just started school there and we will be visiting Boston often in the next four years.
Have you cleaned the main ground strap to the cab? It runs from under the passenger cab pivot to the passenger wall of the radiator tunnel behind the grill. That ground is always NASTY, poorly designed, and universally ignored. You can't access the frame side of the strap easily. Better to just replace the strap entirely and relocate the frame side.
Just started that process yesterday. The can side of the strap is. Full of mostly paint. Haven’t even gotten to the frame side yet.
@@BrokeOverLand Yup. Had a 2v drop across the cab to frame with my meter on the frame and the cab ground point on the passenger grab handle near the PDP. This was on a ~4 year old A1P2 armored truck at the local National Guard base. Found the one on my 2008 to be REALLY gross also. I have a feeling this is one of the primary causes of the pushbutton light switch failures since the digital switch requires a proper ground - there's even a note that comes with them warning the ground has to be good or they can catch fire. Please do a video on that one as a PSA. You have an audience. I keep preaching but don't have any listeners.

The fall was from the rack on the cab, which is 9 1/2 foot. But 100% got lucky I didn’t get seriously injured.

Now you can talk the wife into that garbage truck lift they us to empty dumpsters. Just add it to the front of the truck for an easy lift to the roof.

Yes. But one thing I’ve changed since the video is going to 250amp BMS’s on each battery rather than the 150amp BMS’s

That's a Cruise N Comfort system right? Have you done a review and which spare parts would you recommend carrying onboard?
It is a CnC 24volt HD system. The fan was easy to find and quick to ship. I don’t imagine you would need to carry any spare parts unless you were heading out of country.
@@BrokeOverLand Thank you bro! I'm going to install the 24v or they can do 48v custom for me (I'm installing 48v batteries). CnC looks like the best option.
