- I Messed Up On The Bridge Then Built A Metal Cage | Building A LEGO Star Wars City! I made a mistake while designing a the bridge support and now I have no idea what to do. I also built a way for minifigs to get to and from the maintenance platform in relative safety. All coming at you via lego time lapse builds!

Maybe you could build some falling debris from the big bridge onto the smaller one
Oooooh, yeah! Good idea!
Very smart
If you build the armory maybe add some of those spider droids that took down the bad batch’s shuttle shooting at the small bridge
Hey Coco, this is just a suggestion, but maybe you keep the lower side lower than the rest of the roclwork. It would give the city two different heights, which could add some cool depth while also saving you parts and money and time. It's just a suggestion, though.
What you could do for the tunnel support is build it into the border of that lower bridge. Basically integrate it somehow while combining it with the idea of making the existing tunnel larger, thus making it more structurally sound and keeping it cool looking.
i think adding more smaller patches of snow, like you said, would help a lot. right now it looks really clumpy and i think it makes it look out of place.
That would also help to save on the dark grey tile.
This was a nice small little update to mygeeto, and I’m loving it so far! I like the retractable ladder idea and I hope you can figure out the pillar situation! Can’t wait to see the UT-AT in the moc!!!
You should build a vehicle tunnel along with the bridge and then place the pillar on top of it. This way you wil have more support and also a break up in the grey pillar.
i love this part 5:22 "pretty much safe at this point" -> clone dies falling
Hey Coco! Great progress as always! A suggestion for the larger bridge support, could you not just build the support not connected to the lower bridge and have it go straight to the ground instead of overlapping? Then you don’t have to build a tunnel
You could in theory but like a tunnel instead of a pillar there, basically have supports on the railing and then make it go together to form something that can hole the bridge up (a pillar)
You don’t need a pillar going through your bridge, you could just make the main pillar sitting on the side of your small bridge.
Sometimes building lego Mocs equals pain
That Droid bunker idea is very nice!
For the bridge with the pipes you could add special blue and yellow tubing inside the stud holes to and wiring details! (Similar to the ones used for the pillar railings).
You can make the lower bridge stand blown up by a tank or something like that to make it stable and realistic so minifigs can fit
The latter and cage look fantastic!
Your point on texture contrast is super important - it's like greebling on a macro scale.
Regarding the pillar; the only solution i see is offsetting the bottom pillar and having the lower bridge only be attached at its side (with some slanted support structure ofc).
Or just forego the upper pillar and instead attach a slanted support structure that extends from the mountain.
Just a suggestion for the pillar issue, you could make it bigger than the bridge so the bridge passes through it and as it reaches the second bridge have it span out on the sides for turret placements like from the OG battle front 2 map. The design wouldn’t be exactly like it is but could work as a base for the platforms. Either way the progress is looking awesome!
The rock work is beautiful
I'd say build a larger pillar that the smaller bridge runs through. This would then support both bridges while allowing passage for smaller vehicles and troops
I think I had the bigger mess up of the two of us this week lol 😂but wow I love the ladder it’s so amazing that cage looks great
Rip venator
You know how the pedestrian walkways of the Golden Gate Bridge jut out and around the towers instead of running into them? You could use the same concept on the small bridge, and have the path split out and around the support pillar on both sides, with each side still being similar in width to fit vehicles. It might look clunky, but I think it’s worth a try.
You could make a huge pillar for the big bridge which is wider than the smaller bridge so the smaller bridge can go right through it.
I think for the bridge pillar you could build on the railings of the bridge, thicken up the parts a lil bit and make it almost like a lil cover that molds into the pillar. I’m not sure if that makes any sense, hopefully it did :)
Try a triangle lattice to support the higher level bridge. Look up similar real life designs. Triangle lattice designs are quite strong
YO i love that cage, holy!!!!!!
For the support beam you could make it thicker so that its wider than the bridges themselves. This would give you the support while also not having the pillar go through the lower bridge, rather it would be on either side connected to it. Hopefully that makes sense.

Very good update cool to see the bridges coming together
No-scope had me rolling 🤣
Maybe you could just have the pillar go around. The bridge itself. Like a large tunnel as we don't have the capability to make something float. Could use technic pieces to make a thinner pillar to work
You should add a control panel next to the bottom of the ladder when retracted and near the floor so it can be operated!
There is a control panel
Maybe just place supports on the edge of the bridge, like one support on each edge of the smaller bridge and then they conjoin when it attacks to the larger bridge. or maybe make the supports go all the way to the ground
I really like the remixed Ride of the Valkaryies.
Great job, Coconut! I like the maintenance platform, I don’t know what you could do for the bridge support but I’m sure you’ll find a way. Keep up the great updates!
I think a smaller droid room under the city is a great idea. Adds more to the moc
Thanks
🎉🎉
Love the cage! It looks amazing! Also cool video!
I dont know if you'll see my comment, but i hope you do.
I think you build a thick support arch way, that uses the the walls and some of the bridge floor to create an opening the same scale as your mountain entrance.
That way instead of making a pillar that requires swiveling. You make a solid structure that just has the main bridge attached with a swivel or turn table
I just built a Lego droid base with a clone sneaking around the front. I used a old lego part bag for the window!
The cliff is looking sooo good !
Appreciate it man!
Coconut I think this is your best work I’m starting to see your vision and it’s amazing can’t wait for final product keep up the hard work
Love to hear it!
Looks amazing!! The ladder is such a good addition
Appreciate it.
YEESSSSSS ANOTHER VID!!!!!!
Great video! What about using technic pieces on the inside of the pillar tunnel walls?
Looks amazing. Keep up the great work man!
Maybe you can build like a tunnel in the mountain where the soldiers are fighting in with red lights in there
I think for the bridge slopes, you should take off the layer of plate so that the height on the top and bottom are just the slopes, instead of having the top 1 plate taller. I think it looks smoother and better so its all the same dimensions
Awesome update
Use technic to make the skinny area stronger. It is looking good so far keep it up!
Looking great!
Hey coconut for the bridge pillar with the tunnel you could use technic pieces inside the foundation going up to make the thin parts stronger. just an Idea
Looking good Coconut. Does the bridge support have to be on the other bridge? Could you not do it so that it is before it? There may be a little sag depending on how strong the structure is of the higher bridge, but for me I always thought the bridge looked like it had very little in the way of supports anyway. I think if you had it about 20cm before the bridge it would look perfect. Just an idea. I think if you can avoid having a support in the middle of that bridge it would look so much better, the story telling and actions scenes will look so cool. Keep up the awesome work.
The reasons the two bridges line up like that is because I want the main bridge to connect into the middle of the city, I could try putting the support pillar in before the bridge but I worry about sagging. I really need that rock wall in so I can workshop the bridge placement.
You should invest in some used Duplo for building up the back/inside of MOCs. Makes it much faster and is way cheaper.
I already owned all the filler brick I am using so buying duplo would be the more expensive option.
Make the pillar reach out to the edge of the bridge and then make a big hole through it
Try building the main pillar in 2 parts with some some bits around the edge to hold the upper one up making like tunnel thinf
Coconut, here is a thought about the second bridge and the pillar. Would it be easier to make the pillar go next to it rather than through it, then build a piece of the pillar that branches out underneath it to hold it in place? That way, mini figs and vehicles are not obstructed by the pillar, but the pillar still supports the bridge?
You should add the barricade things from original BF2
As always this dude gives us incredibly awesome content.
You deserve at least 500K subs at this point, you're hella underrated.
Thanks!
I doubt you will see this but you could do a wider whole and have multiple of the smaller supports spread out. i was thinking something almost like upside down support beams from buildings hanging off of mountains!
Make a mighty building where its a reference to the deleted order 66 scene
Maybe to solve ur problem for the pillar running through the bridge u could use 2 smaller pillars that are towards the outside then u could have a use for all the macaroni bricks from courasaunt
The Octuptara Tri-Droid was produced in different sizes n' style. So minifugre scale or not you could definetely manage to decide either which variant or size to choose from. The tri-droids in Mygeeto seem to be separatist brown-beige and decently big. The new Lego tri-droid seems perfect besides the colours. Maybe switch colours out or modify the older Utapau version?
The tri-droids seen on Mygeeto are the massive octuptarra magna tri-droids (the same type as the ones seen in the Clone Wars series), while the ones seen on Utapau are the smaller octuptarra combat tri-droids.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 Yeah, you're right. Though for the sake of the MOC build he could try to do modify the new Lego tri-droid. For an actual real size he would have to rebuild the whole bridge and make it wider. 😅
@@k_bean822 Oh, absolutely, there's no way he'd be able to fit a fully minifig scale magna tri-droid in this MOC. What would be best would be for him to make one that's somewhere between the size of the new one and the actual magna tri-droid, which I believe is what he said he's thinking of doing.
Are you going to add Walon Vau with the Deltas?
Nice!
For the column that sits on the lower bridge, why not just create a tunnel that spans the entire width of the bridge and then tapers back into the original size of the column below?
Looking good mate, keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Is it just me or does one of them pillars look like hulk 😂 nah but love that snow/ice design
2 strips on each side and put technic in the middle the reinforce it (edit: on the maintenance bridge)
Why not a square base/tunnel on the bridge which tapers into the circular pillar.
hey @coconutbricksstudios have you ever thought about making some decaled 501st clone troopers to make? and how much plain clone grunts are you willing to sell if you have that much of your clones?
yes finnnaly
what if you made the big bridge supports wider so the tunnel Naturally blends into it
i was thinking one thing its not acurate but you shold add on the bottom clobnes running in on speders or somthing instead of tiling it black
The higher the mountain gets the more snow?
where do you get your background music from?
Artlist.
Just don't put part of the pillar on the bridge. Make it empty."Besides the figs and vehicles"
I voted for you coconut
The competition is already over
I know I was just telling him I voted for him before@@Lime_is_LushOFFICIAL
Appreciate it.
use a destroyed gunship to suport the bridge
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Also why can't you just shift the the main bridge pilars on each side of the small bridge?
Because then the main bridge won't line up right with the city.
I just want to know if I can buy a marine after your done. They look so good!
Maybe.
@@coconutbricksstudios let’s go! I’m also excited to see how the tank looks when you are finished

I don’t wanna be that guy, but it’s pretty unnatural that there is just a big patch of snow in the middle. It would be sprinkled along the whole bridge. But still great moc so far

Oh my bad
Is mygeeto planet in the separatist union? Because if it isnt you shouldnt make a droid armory
Yes it is.
Why not put the ladder on a side of the pillar that doesn’t have a door?
What's wrong with having in front of the door?
OSHA violation 😂. No but what you have is really cool, just seems more practical to avoid collisions of people leaving the door and trying to go up the ladder at the same time. But I love the look of that whole ladder system
use a destroyed gunship

Hey coconut, why don’t you do the support for the big bridge before it crosses the smal one, I think this would help a lot.
Because then the two front pillars will be too close together.
You could make a huge pillar for the big bridge which is wider than the smaller bridge so the smaller bridge can go right through it.
