- No More Galactic Marines? & Building A Section Of The City | Building A LEGO Star Wars City! Mygeeto is back and despite the rock wall holding up so much of the moc I figured out a way to to continue work on the main bridge! I'm also decaling some more minifigs since my window to do those is quickly closing! All coming at you via lego time lapse builds!

3:47 When you finish your Mygeeto moc you should use the city build to immortalize it. It has some of the key features of Mygeeto like its rock work and its architecture so it’s perfect to immortalize the large scale moc
You could use a couple of plain marines basically lego snowtroopers with all the custom cloth of a marine like the ones in commander kellers unit, and you could use normal grunts and give them wintercloakes and breathing apparatus(„scuba regulator and airtank“ on bricklink) as a sort of cheaper cold assault equipment. This would give you a lot more variation in the moc and you wouldnt have to decal a whole 50 galactic marines

Great update, thank you! You may want to add even more snow to the higher slopes of the mountain, because as the elevation goes higher the temperatures drop eve further, thus making the summit snowy.

The changes to the mountain made it look very natural and the small sample of the city looks very good accurate to what we see in the movies and comics
Getting these plants were totally worth it, they add so much flavor and a nice point of interest to draw the viewer's eye.
For the top of the pillar going a different way to the others you could use those 2x2 tiles with the spinning top to angle the bridge properly ontop

Maybe for greater variety of units you can use plain white snowtroopers and give them the galactic marine clothes, basically plain republic snowtroopers like the ones from keller‘s unit, also you could use p2 grunts and give them scuba respiration apparatus and wintercloaks (white cape on the back and front) as a sort of „cheap“ winter equipment, maybe this way u wont need as many galactic marines and will get more variety which will make the moc more interesting

You should use jumper plates in order to have the bridge connected to the pillar at an angle
I’m loving this series! And unlike your last build series, I’m glad I can be here for all of it lol. I think think I’ve commented this on a different update, but a great way to level up your Separatist army would be to give the B-1s backpacks like in the movies and shows. The best and easiest way I’ve found is to use a 1x2 tan plate piece placed as high up on the back of the droid as possible, making the top of the backpack fairly close to the neck. Not to offend you or anything. But whenever I watch these videos I get sleepy even if I'm invested in what you are building. You are the Lego Bob Ross.
For the pillar on the bridge it doesn’t need to connect to the upper bridge, you could just tile the top off, you should also connect the bottom pillar underneath the bridge to make it look more cohesive. Other than that the moc looks great.
You can try and use a turntable piece and tiles to get the bridge to connect to that support pillar at 6:31
A suggestion for you: You are making the rock wall more realistic by adding tiny specks of snow here and there, but I recommend you do the same for the bridges. It is a bit strange having a stark contrast between snow and no snow.
One trick i've learned to do nice snowy rockwork is to have the snow running kindof like veins downwards, instead of having it be in roundish patches.

Suggestion: add a group of commandos adding large bombs to the base of the bridge in an attempt to scuttle it before it can be taken over by droids. I think it would also be cool if the main depiction of the moc were to be the republic evacuating the bridge before it can blow up

For some of the snow areas maybe try putting like a row of rocks with at the top a layer of snow with the rock fave behind

You could use a 4x4 circle spinny plate thing to attach the pillar to the bridge at the right angle :>

If you’re looking for a good, authentic Japanese castle for inspiration, use Himeji Castle.
It’s the one of the last remaining best preserved Japanese castles that was never rebuilt. It was renovated, but still has the same layout, whereas castles like Osaka Castle were completely rebuilt and not the original building.
The interior is also very impressive, usually has armor stands and weapons on display.
It’s also one of the largest.

if u need so many coats to paint the helmets ur probably using the wrong type of paint. Have u maybe considered using miniature paint, often used for tabletop games like Warhammer? They have way more dense pigments in their paints, thus making u need less coats for an even finish. Citadel paints and Vallejo produce some nice paints. Hope this helps for creating ur army :)

if you're alright with non-official lego, like how CAC sells extra helmets, you can buy a bunch of galactic marines for really cheap from WM Blocks. it's from china but they're really detailed and have an even more accurate color. the code is 2251 i believe
I know how to make some galactic Marines pretty easily by getting the snow troopers battle pack and painting them they look pretty good :)

What if you would turn the maintenence bridge support pillars on the same angle as the bridge? I think it would work very well. And would be easier now that later. Great update tho. And the tunnel worked out very well

Using a lot of swivel plate on top of the pillar with the tunnel could work for connecting it to the bridge, though I expect it could be quite tricky.

for your intersecting bridge pillar you don't have to twist it, just connect it at an angle like the bottom of the pillar

I love your Mocs but they feel so generic in my opinion and mygeeto is meant to be a dark and gloomy place with a lot of snow so you should be using way more dark gray instead of all this light gray. It just ends up feeling like coruscant with a twist. And the whlole area looks way to clean especially since there’s a battle happening and also you need way way more snow. Keep up the great work can’t wait for the next update.
