this game had a huge impact on my life to this day I still use that quote from Richter as kind of a life motto "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality"
@@souheilotsmane9441 personally I'd prefer if Lloyd got in with one of his outfits being Emils outfit and dual wielding the base long sword Emil starts with. Just because I really want Lloyd for smash. I'd love Emil for smash but Lloyd is more likely and would be awesome as well.
@@CrystallDragon1412 its SUCH a cringe quote. everyone on r/tales hates it, and so do i. It's just really corny and cringe that they tried to make it the motto of this game.
Ok, so... this was my first RPG ever, and while I don´t think it´s the best game I´ve ever played up until now, it still is, after more than 10 years, my favourite game ever. It´s hard to describe what this game means to me, but It´s that kind of thing that surpasses the game itself. What I mean is that this game, at the time, was something that helped me cope with alot of things as a young boy, due to the relatable protagonist, endearing characters, it´s magical world and alot more things. Also, it helped that the game was long, as it really was the thing that made me the most happy for like 2 straight years, replaying it over and over and memorizing every cutscene and skit by heart. Right now, this game really takes me back to those sad but at the same time happy and innocent times that I had. I really don´t like to write heartfelt things online, where everyone can see them, but at this time I really felt compelled to at least try to put into words what this game means to me, and that videogames, movies, books, art in general can have this effect on you over many years, regardless of its objective quality. It means different things during different times and it kind of just grows with you. I love this game, and I hope you love something as much as I love this game, something that makes you feel all sorts of things and that can also take you back to simpler times.
@@r123456789rei123 Since your expert on this game. I want to ask you a question. In good ending, does Emil turns in a fully human. With flesh, blood, and bone. Because I was little confused once Emil return back to Marta. I know Lord ratatosk split forms and Richter put ratatosk core inside his head. So just want to know is my favorite main character turns human.
@@r123456789rei123 Plus I highly doubt a spirit and human can produce offspring or grow up in the near future. Plus it would be a really messed situation for the couple if they ever gonna have a son or daughter for a sequel in my opinion😒.
I really love the small bit with Regal. It's a mirror of Tales of Symphonia 1's quick blip with him in it, but under different circumstances. In 1's scene, he's in a jail cell, hands cuffed, and the butterfly is not flying. In 2, he's sitting under a tree, hands free, and the butterfly is flying. It's an interesting mirror, showing how much not only his legal predicament has changed, but his emotional one between games. Many different levels of freedom. I just think it's really cool that they mirrored that one so well.
This game will always be in my heart, damn i played it a looooooooot on the wii, till the hours played stops counting, so nostalgic.., every challenge, every songs and moments, it's sooo especial for me 💜❤️💛
1:03-1:20 The music shift and scenes were really good here. In the Japanese version it sounded way too happy. This catches the mood of the moment a lot better if you ask me.
Ce jeu me marquera à tout jamais, les musiques, le gameplay, l'histoire, l'univers, le style des personnage tout est incroyable😭😭😭😭😭😭 je suis triste et frustré d'avoir fini ce que jeu à l'heure où j'écris...
Honestly they should remake this game with extremely better graphics cause the story is already good as hell, gameplay could be improved not just button smashing the same abilities. It has so much more potential to be a better game.
maestroVIIIXXVIII i guess the copyrights of this opening are by nntendo because that they have touse the japanese music could be that i talk bullshit but it doesn´t change the fact that the wii version was better same graphic better controlls better music
I played it and i enjoyed it allot not the best of the serie but far from hitting the rock bottom the characters are loveable, the plot is decently interesting, VOICED SKITS some of the better ones in the serie and quite good voice acting
I only played it once, but I made sure to beat Marta's father with Marta's mystic arte and Ratatosk mode Emil with Emil's mysic arte, so I'd say once is enough.
I didnt know that there was a TOS 2, I just finished watching someone play it. I though wow, Made me have alot of interesting stuff. I thought is was awesome.
I need to know the real name of the song! It's been my favorite song for all these years! And it is not on the Original soundtrack - WHY? Instead there's a song with a female superhappy voice and I'm like... What the heck...
This was my second tales of game, Vesperia being my first. I admittedly didn't love it as much as I wanted to, but this opening is still incredibly nostalgic. Maybe it would've been a better game if it did its own thing instead of trying to be a Symphonia sequel.
It is sad how the models used in the game just did not allow to recreat the epic scenes from the intro. This one really needed an anime or like shorts that make use of the ambitions the animators of the opening had
Alright personally i like the anime opening versions slight more than this one but I admit this version is the most appropriate version fits the theme of the game more
Playing it on ps3 atm add chapter 8 (first playthrough) its fun but i dislike thay llyod and the others cant level still also its annoying i have to play as emile (hes ok but i would much like it to be llyod if he could level)
Kuro the Fox pretty late by now i've already finished it twice XD, i was more or less talking about playing as Lloyd when i enter battle xD but i ended up getting pretty good at using Emile

I still listen this opening to this day and it was my childhood and my first tales game my mom got it for me saying the cover looked awesome
I tell this to my middle school students all the time!
😍😍😍😍
Ohhhhh yes Me too
This is also my favorite quote that has a big influence on me

+knowwhoiamyet You know I never really noticed that. That is pretty cool though.
Bought this game and played for the first time last week. Emotional opening. Awesome game. Looking to get most of the tales of series
First tales game and I must say, I LOVE this game!!!

I miss this game soo much ^^

weesnaws12345 yeah I still wait for a Remake
An anime out of this game would be so hype
Thank you

This game was my life on my Wii 😭😭😭
the english openings for the Symphonia entries are simply the best. hell, it's hte main reason i still own the Gamecube Symphonia.
Honestly they should remake this game with extremely better graphics cause the story is already good as hell, gameplay could be improved not just button smashing the same abilities. It has so much more potential to be a better game.
Yeah I'll support you
That would be a dream come true
OMGGG YAS!
man the only thing holding me back from playing both games is definitely the graphics. what i would pay for a remake 😭😭
I like this one better than the Japanese version the Japanese one sounds too happy
Same this is probably my favorite or at least one of my favorite opening songs ever
Same here I'm to used to this one
Yes this version is my fav.
This sound a lot better, much more epic than the remake intro with the japanese lyrics
Still listen to this opening to this day and yes it was my first tales game lol
The new opening song on PS3 doesn't even make sense. This version (Wii) is probably the best song I have heard for an opening.
Couldn't have said it any better
The ps3 version is the Japanese Wii opening
maestroVIIIXXVIII i guess the copyrights of this opening are by nntendo because that they have touse the japanese music
could be that i talk bullshit
but it doesn´t change the fact that the wii version was better
same graphic
better controlls
better music
The "new" opening is this. The PS3 opening is the original japanese opening.
I played it and i enjoyed it allot not the best of the serie but far from hitting the rock bottom the characters are loveable, the plot is decently interesting, VOICED SKITS some of the better ones in the serie and quite good voice acting
À tous les francophones qui ont connu cette merveille, sachez que vous êtes des pépites
I've played the game, and the decisions for it are god dam difficult!
11 years
I only played it once, but I made sure to beat Marta's father with Marta's mystic arte and Ratatosk mode Emil with Emil's mysic arte, so I'd say once is enough.

The game is awesome!

Trop de nostalgie bordel !
This opening makes me wish that this game was better
is this soundtrack on spotify
i didn t found it, but if u do pls tell me, I am scearching too...
Nice. How is the game by the way?
It is sad how the models used in the game just did not allow to recreat the epic scenes from the intro. This one really needed an anime or like shorts that make use of the ambitions the animators of the opening had
honestly, I loved the wii opening song more than the ps3 version
Emil and Marta 💓
Alright personally i like the anime opening versions slight more than this one but I admit this version is the most appropriate version fits the theme of the game more
Who here hopes Decus will make a return someday, much smarter?
eau de seduction
Playing it on ps3 atm add chapter 8 (first playthrough) its fun but i dislike thay llyod and the others cant level still also its annoying i have to play as emile (hes ok but i would much like it to be llyod if he could level)
If you hit 'Start' while in the battle menu you change to other characters. It doesn't work for monsters though
Kuro the Fox pretty late by now i've already finished it twice XD, i was more or less talking about playing as Lloyd when i enter battle xD but i ended up getting pretty good at using Emile
Why did they do that? Why did they get rid of the good Japanese openings for only the Symphonia games?
+Xenko Vence licensing
+Xenko Vence It wasn't just the Symphonia games. Many of the early Tales games did this actually.
Frankly, this opening fits the tone of the story and the genre much better.
Lmao both of the western versions are better than the originals.
Love the story, but the gameplay is the worse of the franchise.
I cannot disagree more with everyone. This opening does nothing for me and sounds generic as hell but I guess to each their own.
too bland japanese version all the way
That's your opinion, I suppose.
