When I have recently discovered that Shimano also has THE BEST bike videos out there, it was like a confirmation that the world has some hope...that there are still some good certain things that will stay with us till the last day.. Funny saying you are on the mountain away from instagram, social media, television etc. and at the same time you are there to make content for those exact platforms.. :D
Ha ha, yes that is weird isnt it! Though I think there is a difference between finding escape from it by going up a mountain etc generally and disengaging from such distractions, and the times we are making content to earn a living. Yes it is a tricky path to tread!

Inspirational stuff. I've shared a number of those golden hours with Dan and done my share of 'following the dotted line on the map'. Very special times, logged in the memory bank as true highlights in life.

I find like the other day I went on a 56km or approx 35 miles days expedition in my local area
On my specialized turbo levo carbon Comp 3rd gen & had a fantastic time ! A full day out, just me my bike & beautiful scenery for company! Yes it was very windy almost to the point of hardly being able to stand up on the tops of my local fells ; fells above Skipton & Embsay Crags ! But it was great adventure riding some steep trails I'd never ride & ticking them off ! There was a great satisfaction in that ! & Managing my battery to get home ! But much more than that ,I had a wonderful day exploring on my bike gorgeous scenery, Wonderful trails, isolation at times just me & my thoughts ; pure magic !! Just Try your local area you don't have to go to the Alps or further afield there is so much to explore : Go & have fun !! 👍👌🏞️🌲🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲🌄

careful what you wish for !
I think every photographer has a particular way of shooting and not everyone does it the same. I for example shoot when ever I need to and don't wait for the golden hour to do what I need. I think if you're stuck in that mind set then you are stuck in one way of shooting. It works for Dan but it may not work for you. So aspiring photographers go out and experiment and find your own thing that works for you. Peace out, now get outside!

Great point. This was filmed in June 2021, and I refer to an adventure I did around Mount Elbrus in Russia in 2019, which was a great excursion through some very wild and unspoilt landscapes. I have nothing but disdain for what has been wreaked upon Ukraine.
