Some of the comments on here are clueless. Cumberland was a a mining and logging town. Bringing in mtn biking is a much more environmentally friendly industry than what kept the lights on in the past.
Great video can't wait to get back out and ride might be a minute they just put some fresh steel in me a couple days ago. So this vid gives me some inspiration!
The part of the country I’m in have many trails but the problem is old people build the trails of course they will build something they can ride and all of them are like Blue trails I barely enjoy it also they are not educated trail builders they don’t even know how to pack the trails like you will see a berm that is not packed in also wrong curve height etc. Trail builders are 100% needed
Here some other things to work on: New dura ace track groupset, saint groupset, carbon cranks, bb30 axle cranks, wireless shifting, gearbox. Thank you in advance
Nice video, showing the designing and making of a trail by hand. With regards to the mixed commentaries below, I wonder: has an environmental impact study been done before actually making the trail? More generally, are they any studies on the impacts of MTB trails been done around in North America? Europe?
Chris Snodgrass says ' one of the things I try to do is reconnect people with nature's and then backs a ducking free down. It would be hilarious if the Earth wasn't in the process of Thermal Runaway..
I'm all for cycling in all formats, but WHY THE FUCK, are you chopping shot outta an ancient woodland??? Don't MOThers have a duty to the very earth beneath them? Like we ALL do. Just ride your trail thro the NATURAL forest, instead of spouting ' I'm a one with nature ' blocks and then backing the shot outta nature.
We were building in a working forest, this is far from ancient. 40 years old max. The forest surrounding this trail will be clear cut soon too so building here is a sustainable practice. Best to put your energy into helping fight the battle of the cutting of real ancient forests around here. Check out fairy creek! It's crazy what type of trees they are trying to take down.
Anyone om the east coast usa knows how ridiculous building your own trail is. Look left - onwed, right, owned, behind and in front - owned. There's litterally no-where. We still do it, and it's fun, but illegal so we can't publically share even when we come up with amazing trails, it's BS not being used for anything meaninfgul otherwise.
@@ark8tct lol they can borrow it just bring it back when I need it, preferably with the tires intact. Anyway it's unrelateable. Talking land that is over grown clearly not used for anything, nothing that is being used for personal use by them. Just have it. I don't care as much to own everything, just let it be used for good.
Trails for trails sake seems like trespassing. Passage for no real destination. Not sure it's the best use of resources. So much more could be done for cycling with all that energy. Rather see more trails serve as real and commutable by being useful to more than a handful of downhillers. There is so much to ride without cutting into virgin areas for sport only.
It's hardly destroying nature compared to all the other stuff going on in the world. Should everyone stop mountain biking then? As this is how trails are made
Video is beautiful, biker is great and the slope is well shaped but... I agree with Adonis : too sad this such marvelous forest is damaged for our little pleasure. MTB is possible without all these shovle. For how long ? Ride safe !
@@etiennemauret2393 you ever lived in the forest? It will be back to normal in a couple years if un touched. Meanwhile every man made thing you touch is probably worse for nature than this.
Trail builders are so indispensable and important.
Trails are memorials! Once you are able to create one, it might live for years and inspire so many more riders! 🤘👍
Big project, one reason: because of love.
Dope trails for sure, but also mad props to the filmmakers, this is beautifully done.
That trail "drawing" in front of a rider at 0:50 is just too sick!
This video should have way more views! Good storytelling and some epic camera and VFX work 👊
Great Video. I love it.
Man, is BC the MTB paradise? So many locations and seems like every 2nd person is involved in MTBing in some kind of aspect.
Beautiful work, people!! Thanks!!
Trail builders are the unsung heroes of the mtb world

We need a giant bike trail along the Amazon River to reconnect with it
Anyone know the music at the very beginning?
Kinda sounds like hans zimmer but not sure if its really from him
Howdy, it's Lama House - Astral Roar
Imagine you give a positive feedback, and you get spondored by Shimano.
Trying to imagine it, but its just too much bullshit…
@@matthiaskofler696 Yeah... I know
😄😄😄Yaay! I got sponsored by Shimano 😁😊
Sound track?
Check the credits at the end, the songs are listed in order of appearance in the film. Hope you enjoyed it!

Shimano should think about the worldwide rich for its components availability....seriously.

Es increíble que dañen la naturaleza para un estupido parque de bicicletas por algo estamos matando el planeta 😡😡😡😡
