The models after 2014 are on the passenger side. I love that I was able to clean mine out. Have a leaf or something in the intake which is stuck in one of the fans and had to get a small shop back to clean out what I could. Pain in the ass to get it out.
Lol if anyone thinks this is a terrible design, just know for thr Infiniti jx35 / qx60 it's on the passenger side and worse. You gotta collapse and stuff it more and getting the plastic cover back on is a PITA.

On our '13, the owner's manual has 6,000 pages on how to work the radio but a couple of sentences about the cabin air filter. One of the sentences says to consult the dealer. True.

Also run your air with the filter off to push out any other leaves and crap in there.
