It's kind of crazy how music makes anything hard to forget. I had totally forgotten about this game along with puzzle inlay. It's been well over a decade. And out of nowhere, this soundtrack started playing in my head. I had to find my mom's old laptop and play it. It's safe to say if it wasn't for this soundtrack, I would've never remembered this game ever.

acutally it still can be play on windows 8 or even windows 10,if you manually adding those compartbility flags about DirectDraw over the game itself.it could run without any problem. if you don't want to digging around,just using wined3d as solution to bring back ddraw function call but on top of OpenGL call.
2000s were much simpler times before "freemium" and other "full membership" windows 10 bs(including office 10) that accompany it. Therefore who is revisiting this nostalgic masterpiece of song is not alone, we are with you.

Actually it could be play on windows 10,but you have to do some tweak over the Game, The reason why it can't run on win10 is the DirectDraw Emulation problem implementation.that was back on windows 7,as DirectDraw consider as depercated API,for compartbility reason,MS has doing his best jobs made DirectDraw can run on windows 7 without any issues. However,it was an emulation method over DirectX11.when they refactor DWM since windows 8,which also depracated some DWM function as it cannot be shutdown/disable anymore.as it also affect this emulation work and cause many casual mini games using old D3D/DDraw Api broken unlike windows 7.
