i see Harris on Brazil some yars ago. Great voice!
Having the greatest living bassist on the track and not even mentioning it is an insane flex. Love seeing Leland in the UA-cam era.
{ThisGuyGetsIt.gif} 🤣
I don’t see Clay Gober anywhere.
It really is.
Unbelievable! Love it!
Did you actually know he also makes his own UA-cam video's? For a couple of years already!
Leland sounds incredibly funky and locked in the groove. 😊
Your so right. Dude is so clean in his execution and tone
Master Bass !
Love Leland Sklar!
Never a wrong note, never an unnecessary note.
Well... yeah!?
Leland is one of the greatest bass players of all times and deserves more credit and attention. Love him!
He likes to play it chill, what a dude
he look like he has all the wisdom in the world
Wow, what a dream team!!! Leland on bass! Tamir on drums! Larry's funky keys! Sophia's expressive vocals! Ryan's guitar is outstanding! And "Party Man" Jack, giving the vibes, making this a great interpretation with a slight note of the 80s
Sophia has one of those for which you say “wow… didn’t expect that” such a powerful voice.
guy
Sophia is gorgeous and one of the most underrated female vocalists around. I don't understand how she isn't huge.
It seems like there a lot of female vocalists in that situation... is it maybe because the space is saturated, and all the spots are filled?
This channel deserves 10M subs.
It'll get there one day.
It deserves 1.02 M
I can't tell you how much it makes me happy to see Leland Sklar in these videos. The OG.
Everything about this performance is jaw dropping. Also, Ryan doesn’t get enough credit for always serving the song, not a single note wasted
This is nuts. These people have more talent in their left toenail than most mainstream artists.
I remember thinking Sophia's backing vocals on the Staying Alive cover were so good and how nice it would be to hear her sing lead lol. You guys all deliver such quality it's insane. Thank you everyone!
Do yourself the favor and find the Taylor Swift cover that SP and her have already up on yt. It's just great!
Same
That Bassist.... has potential. He's one to watch, that's for sure! 😉
that's Leland Bruce Sklar... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leland_Sklar
@@charliefry2365 🙂 Yes, it is.
@@charliefry2365 wooosh
😂😂😂
🤣
Sophia is a vocal genius and stunningly beautiful. Lee's a living legend. You can't ask for better.
Barzilay and Sklar is a rhythm natch made in heaven. Those silky vocals on top are to die for. 😍
Sophia's timbre and range is incredible, but what a dream team on this track!
This is a prime example of the magic of serving the song, making each note purposeful, each individual here is stunningly doing their job. Looking and sounding good uncle Lee
Leland absolutely serving up those funky lines. Beast!
Watching Larry play clav is fascinating. So much from so little!
Yes and w/ just 3 fingers it looks like!
Nothing better than being able to hear that sweet bass so clearly. Another infectious jam. Lee Sklar is the master of groove.
I really loved Charlie Puth's original bassline and was afraid it was going to detract from the song, but Sophia's voice just filled up the gaps and went: HAVE SOME MORE. Fantastic job!
sophia has the best female voice i‘ve heard in the last years. so unique and so much fun to listen to
Beautiful to see Chuck being out the house again and playing piano again
That voice and that bass. What a combination!❤
she really breaks the swing with her voice is amazing !!!
I don't like it
@@dr.angerous krtek ? what?? oh wow .. shes awsome .. that voice
@@craigbmm4675 nothing that I would like, not even her looks
@@dr.angerous lol trolololol
@krtek sorry for your loss
Sophia James -what a voice; she sounds and looks like she brings out the best in everyone of the musicians.
Oh Yeah! What a great performance! What a great arrangement, what a great voice! (Sophia James! This is awesome, I'm speechless) and the Leland on bass! Tamir on drums! And Larry, Ryan and Jack to complete the set. This is like a dream team! This is massive! I get goosebumps listening to this!
something about this lineup is SOOO good, Lee Sklar is part of the magic for sure but its the magic of the group i think. I keep having to listen to this song sooo good
how many amazing vocals, female and male the pockets introduce to us...... really thanks!!!!!!!
The intro has to be the funkiest thing I’ve ever herd!!!!
Fantastic! I love the way Sofia doesn't hold back but sings good and loud and her voice is clear as a bell no cracking at all.
This is brilliant. Sophia has so much energy and Lee is doing his magic - I’ve listened to the original, but this cover lifts it to the next level. Love the F minor hook line.
The Wackerman Family is awsome! Sophia´s Timbre! And yes LELAND!!
Silky smooth voice. What a groove.
Leland's bass playing is like Steve Gadd's drumming to me, it's like they create/ provide the hooks that pull you in! Listen to his opening riff on Doctor my eyes for just one example
you guys give every sing that perfect edge. i love all your choices of vocalists. Sophia has such a great sound. congrats to all the ppl behind this production, its fabulous!
EDIT: can we have more of Madison Cunningham and Stacey Ryan?
The original is one of my favorite pop songs of the last decade and you guys put a fantastic new spin on it! Scary Pockets always bringing the funk and the fire!!
Sklar's bass and Sophia's vocals = 🔥🔥I listened to the cover first and then checked out the original. I have to say the original sets the tone but this funk cover takes it to the next level. LOOOOOOOVE it!
I used to play with a legendary pianist that played exactly like this guy. Chopping those keys just cuz it’s more funky and he’s so good that he can, and it somehow makes everything better. Great jam guys. Such stellar musicianship all around.
What a voice. Everyone sounds nice.
Those few background notes from Jack brings out the beauty of their groove.
Holy voice I love her tone! 😍
I wonder what Charlie would think of this ! So good 🔥
Locked and Loaded!
THe groove and the sound are so amazing.
Great job.
And the bassist is so energic and groovy. Great lesson.
Leland Skard!!! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷❤️
Leland went there to get coffee. This is him chilling. Amazing as always.
Sick! What a cast of awesome musicians. I really dig Ryan's riffs and runs in this one.
Everything about this is top tier. Well done all.
Lee Sklar killin at always!
Fantastic! Another grouping of great musicians. Always love Tamir's beats!
Oh-oh, ooh
You've been runnin' 'round, runnin' 'round, runnin' 'round throwin' that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
You've been going 'round, going 'round, going 'round every party in L.A.
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd be at one, oh
I know that dress is karma, perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine, oh
And now I'm all up on ya, what you expect?
But you're not coming home with me tonight
You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you
you've been runnin' 'round, runnin' 'round, runnin' 'round throwing that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
Baby, now that we're, now that we're, now that we're right here standing face-to-face
You already know, already know, already know that you won, oh
I know that dress is karma (dress is karma), perfume regret

Oww My God,, there's Grandpa Lee on the bass.. Glad to see you again Sir.. and playing live.. great..
It's about time!!!!!!!!!!!! Sophia, you WON far as I'm concerned! This is one SP vid where I'd like the camera to always include Mz James.

Damn, groovy right off the bat. Tasty track right here!
What a ROSTER of MUSIC MASTERS! A pure pleasure to watch them create this groove! Thanks, Jack!
Sklar cleaning his track better than the janitor
Love the beard evolution from “baby-faced Goldings” all the way through to “Rip-van-Sklar”.
You got “5 o’clock Ryan”, “no-shave November Barzilay”, and “Abe Conte”.
When can we get a tshirt made of that beard lineup?
best scary pockets cover, everything is perfect on this cover
She's got such a great voice, this is such an epic'ly funky jam!
My favorite part of these videos is what absolute legend they just randomly have in the back of the ensemble each video. Leland? Wow.
Love this!! Another gem from Jack and company AND Leeland! Funk yeah!
I like Sophia' s voice, a line so natural and original!
Love the vocal tones
Fabulous! Sleek!!!!!

Tamir is just getting better every time you guys release a video. blows my mind.
