I had been looking for it for a long time when I finally found a used one...so I call the guy, travel nearly 3 hours with my car, get into this shabby garage in a suburban part of that town, dude dusts off the case, opens it, starts talking about the guitar, its features and all while I'm dead silent and staring at what's inside the case...before he's finished I give him the money and say "thanks, bye". I own a white one.
Cute animation, and you totally nailed the vibe in both the animation and your demo. I can see where you put some real thought into both the concept and the performance. Kudos!!!
I usually don't comment on youtube videos, much less guitar demos. But I have to say how impressed I am with this video. So many demo videos, in my opinion, don't give the viewers what they are looking for. It's either some guy playing super clean jazz or rockabilly with reverb, or a blues solo with distortion. I like jazz and rockabilly, but that's not what the majority of people play. I want to hear the whole range of sounds the guitar offers. The great thing about Ryan's demo is that he goes between noodling around and playing different styles of music one would most likely play on this guitar. He even plays a couple well known songs just so viewers can get an idea of how it is going to sound in most settings. I also liked how all of the information was conveyed through on screen text rather than talking. In many demo videos the person doing the demo can talk about the guitar more than he is playing it. I appreciate the information, but ultimately I want to hear how the guitar sounds. Great demo! Got my subscription.
this is an very well done review. not everybody does like this. not everybody at all. you answered exactly what curious people about this guitar wants to know. Thanks, man.
Nice rendition of Gut Feeling, made me remember learning to play it when I was sixteen and had nothing but a nameless solid state amp and a strat copy, great demo. I'd love to try one of these guitars out.
I also have the Airline 59 but in 2 pickup configuration in vintage tobacco burst with no bigsby and it sounds, plays, and looks fantastic! I love it !
I know this is a 3 years old video but I have to say it’s my favorite from you. Maybe it’s just me but this was heartfelt and touching and I really really want a guitar like this now. (I wanted one to begin with because of Jack White but you really convinced me that it’s actually good)
Ditto all the good comments. I have an Eastwood Ventures style guitar. Exceptionally good guitar. I'd like to have a dozen or so of their models. Just can't afford to do so. I don't give a hoot about "modern distortion. Only choose effects and OD for certain pieces. I get really tired of other's video after video of the same distorted riff. This is where you should be (early music) to properly demo a guitar. Bravo for this!
If there were video Grammy awards for UA-cam videos I would nominate you for one! This one is just epic! And it's so weird, because I started looking at Eastwood airline Guitars this past week so the timing is incredible😅
I've been looking at some of their guitars. They seem to have a good vintage vibe to them, and look different than your standard guitar shapes and all. Good demo. Thanks.
I play blues, especially slide, that's exactly the good guitar. The sound is vintage but can be harder if you want. The shape of the guitar and its colour flash people when you're on stage.
bought a used black one...... he never played it ......... he opened the case and i gave him the money......... it really plays and sounds really well, lots of different sounds can be pulled out of it !! And just looks amazing on top of an easy solid neck to play. I love mine !!!
I fucking love this kind of guitars , it looks like a Cadillac car , the rockabilly/surf vibe to it is so sweet , i love the tone , what a lovely piece .
I love this model, too. The version i got in the musicstore is without the rubber band here in Germany. This guitar works very nice with echo, overdrives , wahwahs and modulation. This machine definetlly has some own unique vibe in it genes.
Priorities. Can't tell you how many guitars and amps I regrettably sold due to that. I think my most forgettable was a doctor z maz8, and surprisingly an agile Les Paul style, but that was more for sentimental value because I had spent so much time customizing it and it played like a dream.
When you mentioned concerns players may have about the knobs being in the way, I remembered a video of Steve Howe saying he was always hitting the volume knob on Strats, so he had it moved.
Great demo and playing. That guitar looks and sounds really good, nice colour too. The extra flourishing is cool, it fits in well. I had the same concerns about hitting the switches on my Fender Mustang, not a problem at all. Great videos...
This is my favorite guitar ever for some strange reason, the originals were Res-O-Glass bodies. Probably due to discovering the world of Wooden Shjips.
Wow man it's crazy how different your old reviews were. I just found this channel last year but have always wondered about this review since the Airline is always hanging behind you. Sounds great tho. I love Eastwood repro's they're just too expensive. You should review a Guitar Fetish Xavier sometime. Or a Hardluck King.
I love it. I enjoy stuff that is different. I don't play guitar...yet. Should I preordained one? (Red ones are sold out.) If I don't keep up with learning the guitar, my plan is to hang it on the wall because it looks so cool!
My god! that’s a thing of shear electrifying wonder times marvel. This could really spin a man into a 3 hour blazin surfin’ bird inspired state of oneirophrenia! I NEED ONE!
Just watched this video again, four years after my last comment (and four years into owning this exact guitar - it WAS the tip over the edge!) - and my question still stands - what's the fuzz noise at 5:05? I want it so very very much.
You're a beast. So how about grabbing one of those Eastwood 4 string tenor baritones and giving it a thrashing for us. RJ, well he just fiddles with it. I'm sure you can make it HUM.
me want one. as for knobs being touched while playing...i had that issue with starts...so i popped off the knob using two guitar picks...gently......and, took a rubber guitar strap thingy fender makes...cut some of the middle out until it fit the metal inside of the knob...put the knob back on...and suddenly...the knob is stiff to use and that suited me just fine. i would think same could work with this one if anyone was so inclined. that guitar packs a lot of options
I have older Airline 59 red with 2 pick-ups from around 2006 and it feels that it lacks bass frequencies on the bridge pick-up. I can push up the bass on my amp with very little effect on the sound. Do you have the same on yours? Cheers and congrats for the video
I like your style of reviewing instruments with titles. Many other youtubers talk too much, when I want to hear the instrument. So, what does "P&W" stand for?
I like you using a text commentary..it enabled me to listen passive and see what you have to say.. I like the name airline.. the guitar layout not me.. bigsby yeah you can keep that too.. knobs yeah i would be turning the wrong one wonder why the fuck it aint working. Definitely a like and subscribe thank you have a great day
I just found one of these locally for $450. How much did you pay for yours? I dont really like single coils but I love the eclectic style of this guitar and I love my gadgets and electro ic instruments so all those knobs really appeal to me. I wish I could find just the unloaded bosy and neck so I could load it with humbuckers and use all the knobs for push pulls, kill switches and other fun gadgetry.
60 Cycle Hum Oh....why did you have to tell me that? Its still for sale and I want it...ugh...I did some research and yeah it looks like $450 is a steal. Thank you for the reply!
Kudos!!!
Thanks! It was a total blast to work on, the concept almost wrote it's self
without a doubt, this has THE best intro I've ever seen! LOVE it.

Ditto. This is the way to do a guitar demo.
The Jetsons type cartoon is cool af too!
best gear review channel ever. period.

The intro is very clever and well done. Thanks for a very thorough demo. The cliche P&W part made me laugh.
This is one of my favorite demos of all time. Amazing.
This is my favorite video of yours, and I totally love your playing in this video.
Love that Pixies sound at 6:00
I just about died and went to heaven when you jammed on Devo! Awesome!
this is an very well done review. not everybody does like this. not everybody at all. you answered exactly what curious people about this guitar wants to know. Thanks, man.
One of the best demos ever, thanks a joy to view.
Nice rendition of Gut Feeling, made me remember learning to play it when I was sixteen and had nothing but a nameless solid state amp and a strat copy, great demo. I'd love to try one of these guitars out.
Its my #1 favorite devo song, that build just makes me want to break stuff.
I also have the Airline 59 but in 2 pickup configuration in vintage tobacco burst with no bigsby and it sounds, plays, and looks fantastic! I love it !

i dont think ill ever sell it, its got mojo.
I love binge watching your videos on cold rainy days.
One of the best reviews that I have ever seen, thank you.
I ordered mine today! I’ve been wanting one for a while. Great cartoon and Great demo.
Hearing & watching you play is 100% convinced me this guitar gets on my bucket list. That color is right on the money.
My next purchase, loving the green.
Been bugging you to play like this on demos. I knew you could really play. Great stuff!
Ditto all the good comments. I have an Eastwood Ventures style guitar. Exceptionally good guitar. I'd like to have a dozen or so of their models. Just can't afford to do so. i do a lot of surf guitar playing. I like distortion and fuzz too. but I spend a lot of time working with cleaner tones.
So glad Fountains of Wayne is getting some love.
Good demo. Thanks.
Great demo! DEVO FTW also!
Nice Batman theme Ryan!
Your most fun and creative video by 100 times over! Makes me want one ☝️ of these George Jetson guitars!
Awesome guitar! Just bought a green Twin Tone that I'm pretty excited about...
I play blues, especially slide, that's exactly the good guitar. The sound is vintage but can be harder if you want. The shape of the guitar and its colour flash people when you're on stage.

Nicely done. I just netted a Town and Country model - taking delivery this week. Pretty excited to be honest.
Awesome Vid ! Lots of fun to watch ! Axe Sounds Really Good ! Thanks Hum !
I've been eyeing that guitar for quite a while. Thanks for the demo. Also, we probably are around the same age.
I've been following these guiatrs for awhile, and they all seem to be great quality for the price . Gotta love those retro styles as well !
I had an identical one in black that I sold to feed a then burgeoning drug habit. The tears still fall to this day.. 😢
Hey we’ve all been there man. Sold a les Paul for heroin back when I was strung out. I’m just glad we’re clean now!
Priorities. Can't tell you how many guitars and amps I regrettably sold due to that. I think my most forgettable was a doctor z maz8, and surprisingly an agile Les Paul style, but that was more for sentimental value because I had spent so much time customizing it and it played like a dream.
Informative and humorous! I loved it!
YES Gut Feeling baby!! This is a very DEVO guitar.
Wow at he end it really sounds exactly like the white stripes. This sort of guitar really did lend a lot to their tone.
Now thats one hell of a rockabilly/surf guitar, handles gain surprisingly well
When you mentioned concerns players may have about the knobs being in the way, I remembered a video of Steve Howe saying he was always hitting the volume knob on Strats, so he had it moved.
Best guitar demo ever
Got mine in Gold Sparkle, looks awsome and the tone is great too....rockin it soon on stage !
Looks like a lot of fun. Badass li’l rig.
Great demo and playing. That guitar looks and sounds really good, nice colour too. The extra flourishing is cool, it fits in well. I had the same concerns about hitting the switches on my Fender Mustang, not a problem at all. Great videos...
I love the vintage sound a vibe to the guitar
Damm! Now I want one!
Great demo/ great video - subscribed!
Cool demo! The animation is also amazing.
This is my favorite guitar ever for some strange reason, the originals were Res-O-Glass bodies. Probably due to discovering the world of Wooden Shjips.
Great demo, Im lucky to own one of these, my first electric (I punch above my weight), I really love this guitar :-)
I so want one of these.
I love this guitar thanks for sharing
When he played "Gut Feeling" I near shit my britches
What a lovely trombone
Sam O HEY...that's a flugelhorn if I've ever seen one! lol!
What a lovely flugelhorn your describing there sir
Killer demo. I really want to try one of these out now.
Come over and try it! Not kidding
Awesome demo! Keep it up!
We must be about the same age
What's the name of the song?
Sink to the Bottom by Fountains of Wayne
reminded me of "how deep is your love"
Definitely one of the coolest looking guitars.. Especially if your bored with gibson and fender...
Wow man it's crazy how different your old reviews were. I just found this channel last year but have always wondered about this review since the Airline is always hanging behind you. That Headstock alone is enough to make a man fall in love.
GUT FEELING!
I got a gut feelin'...that this is a great video.
Now thats a guitar demo.
song at 5:58 is Sink To The Bottom
Dude, this is perhaps the best guitar demo I have ever watched. All I’m left wondering is; does it come in sparkly red or gold?
I've seen them in both bright red, and sparkly gold, if that helps :)
You're a beast. So how about grabbing one of those Eastwood 4 string tenor baritones and giving it a thrashing for us. RJ, well he just fiddles with it. I'm sure you can make it HUM.
RUMBLE
Awesome 😎
Got to put roller saddles on the bridge. Stays in tune when using the Bigsby. :-)
Not interested in ever purchasing the guitar but that was an excellent review!
Was wondering what kind of guitar that was hanging on your wall the last few days I've been watching your videos
Thanks for this video :)
Nice DEVO cover!
That's a cool funky lookin guitar...different. I like different!👍😎🎸🎶
Nice Devo cover!!
Sweet guitar liked the intro good work
Class !
But does it djent? Haha - just kidding. Awesome demo, man. You've made a believer out of me.
What's your amp/pedal setup for the tone at 4:26? It sounds amazing.
It looks so weird (in a really cool way) i need it :D
👌 so cool!
Mate, you are good.
This could well be the tip over the edge for me! Don't suppose anyone could tell me you are using for the fuzz at 5:05?
This would be my grail guitar. And in that case, it's really totally affordable considering the price point.
me want one. as for knobs being touched while playing...i had that issue with starts...so i popped off the knob using two guitar picks...gently......and, took a rubber guitar strap thingy fender makes...cut some of the middle out until it fit the metal inside of the knob...put the knob back on...and suddenly...the knob is stiff to use and that suited me just fine. i would think same could work with this one if anyone was so inclined. that guitar packs a lot of options

Awesome review of an awesome guitar, also D E V O
3:15 what he use? (Distor and posible effect but i think it was reverb and distor) BUT WHAT DISTOR!?!
I like your style of reviewing instruments with titles. Many other youtubers talk too much, when I want to hear the instrument. So, what does "P&W" stand for?
Praise and Worship, AKA church music.
Sink to the Bottom is so gorgeous @6:00
This guitar is my new wet dream.
I like you using a text commentary..it enabled me to listen passive and see what you have to say.. I like the name airline.. the guitar layout not me.. bigsby yeah you can keep that too.. knobs yeah i would be turning the wrong one wonder why the fuck it aint working. $450 is a killer price, I'd jump on that.
