I always thought that the press totally trolled prince years before it became a thing when they started calling him the artist formerly known as prince.
Actually that was his idea. He changed his artist name to a hand drawn symbol with no verbal equivalent. So people just called him "the artist FORMERLY known as Prince" instead of flashing the symbol on the screen every time they wanted to say his name.
I love Prince even tho I wasn't born in the 80s I watch him on tv in 1997 that when I fell in love with Prince I was about 3 years old and now I'm 20 I'm the biggest Prince fan now I really won't to meet him he my inspiration and idol and hero
