My buddy and I painted your dad's house in the early 90s. We were like 25 yrs old. He gave us all little Bible's. I still have mine. Think was off Penfield road if I can remember? Very nice guy 😇🙏
I was born in 1985, but I remember when Sibley's was still open downtown. My mom and grandmother used to shop there. I also recall when Midtown Plaza wasn't a dead mall. I seriously miss how downtown used to be, but it really can't stay the same forever. I'm glad that you're still with us, Don. May you live long enough to do a news report on the rebirth of Rochester.
Dad had the "No Waiting Barbershop" at Midtown Plaza 62-70. Formans and Sibleys were the anchors. We shopped at Formans for clothes. Sibleys was amazing, but as they say, every business is like a Shakespeare play; it has a beginning, a middle and an end.
My grandfather al miller was a floor walker he would walk around and look for people who needed help and take them to where they needed to be at christmas he was one of the santas

I miss Sibley's so much. The grocery store was amazing, Christmas time was unforgettable.
Priceless
My mom would spend what felt like HOURS shopping in there!

I wish I could have been around back when Sibleys was big it seemed like a great part of Rochester.
I grew up in Rochester. Sibleys and Midtown Mall were absolutely magical to visit as a kid and as an adult. I was so sad when I heard they closed.

I had forgotten about the bakery! Oh, the smells were wonderful.
