I don’t shoot weddings, but I’m a professional musician and use it as a field recorder and also for audio on my UA-cam channel occasionally. I have the H4 too, but find I don’t need it often.

Is there a particular level settings I need to set up the recording to avoid distortion? Thanks.

I just keep mine is the middle at 5 and it’s usually safe. There’s a slot for you to put your headphone in so listen to it with your headphones to make sure the audio or DJ system isn’t pushing it out too loud.
