What beautiful landscapes. Incredible...
Montenegro is definitely underrated and your videos are helping shed some good light on it. Looks very modern and clean.
Hello Gabriel. Thanks for showing us the supermarket. Visiting grocery stores is one of my favorite things to do when I travel. Safe travels!
Yeah visiting a supermarket is good way to stock up

Everywhere in Montenegro people, landscape, customs, traditions, culture, food and architecture fantastic. This location, along with the natural grandeur, that backpacer finds irresistibly charming.
Montenegro just keeps on giving huh? What a beautiful suprise. This mountain area/National park looks like perfection. What a hidden gem this is!
Hi Blabla girl. I like the hidden gems too
Gabriel howdy. Ladies and gents if you've never met Gabriel in person like I did in Amritsar, Punjab, Bharat (India) last year in November, you don't know what a cool and mellow person he is. He's a stand up man. We hung out for dinner after the first two unplanned meetings and had I nice chat. He's a world class traveler and person. The orange car at the beginning is a Renault 4. Hi Gabe! Nice to hear that you finally started to pronounce the letter "J" as "y" at the beginning of "yod". 😀
Montenegro certainly has a lot of contrasting scenery. Loved your hike around the lakes with the beautiful spruce forests, so green. Thank you for bringing this hidden gem into the light and showing the beautiful mountains, lakes and cities beyond the beaches. Enjoyable and informative. ❤❤❤
Yogurt is a very popular side dish in the whole Balkan region as well as Western Asia and also Russia.
Living in Montenegro with US salary is heaven. Living in Montenegro with Montenegrin salary is something you don't want to experience if you're not into masochism.
Exactly, that is why it's so cringy when westerners constantly say what a bargain everything is. It's not a bargain if you are paid a Montenegro salary.
@@VolkerHelmich Ppl from MNE pay also different prices, not just ppl from MNE, but also those who can speak the language. Gabriel payed 3euro an hour for parking in the national park, if you speak local language you can park for 1,50 or even free. It's the same with all costs in MNE. Most locals just buy burek in pekara and some kefir or cevape/pleskavica for 3,50e-4e in restaurant/fast food or 2e in Megamarket.
@@fotoz2363 Absolutely not true!
@@matt_milack I lived in MNE and know very well how it works, if you say it's not true you are just ignorant, let me tell you one fact: people from MNE pay bribes to guys measuring electricity, so they pay fixed rate monthly which is about 3 times lower during winter season as for foreigner, if you know anything about the counry, you probably know there is no gas heating, only AC
@@fotoz2363 my point is that the supermarkets and restaurants have one price. Therefore things will be cheaper for westerners in this case

Thank you for this video! Montenegro is not only the Adriatic shore, the sea resorts Bar, Kotor, Budva, Ulcin. The mountains in Montenegro are magnificent. I like the archeological site. I love foreign supermarket tours. This one is nice. Non refrigerated milk is common in other european countries as well, or at least there is the option of it.
Doclea, where the Roman ruins were abandoned sometime in the first half of the IV century, doesn't say when it was formed but I think it may have coincided or been started by Diocletian, the name and reign of this (relatively speaking) well known Roman emperor. His name and reign of 284-305 lines up, and he was born in Dalmatia.
İn the southern USA, i had purchased 5 litres of cocoa milk, 5 litre Florida pure orange juice, 1 litres strawberry yogurt, blueberry redburry yoğurt, only hellim cheese as white cheese, cheddar cheese in slices for cheeseburger to pass my breakfast with them.

So glad to see enjoyed Montenegro. Being a guy who loves hiking, mountains, forest, you were right in your element. Ankara holds a lot great things for you. Ankara Castle will give you beautiful views of the city, and the Museum of Anatoolian Civilizations is right next door. Thousands of wonders inside. Also the ancient city of Hattusa with it's secret tunnel in the hill, lion gate statues and a bit further on, incredible ancient rock carvings.
The Balkan mountains are only in Bulgaria but when people speak about Balkan then they mostly refer just to Croatia,Serbia,Bosnia,Montenegro & Albania. But Balkan consists also of North Macedonia,Greece,Bulgaria & Romania.

Thank you! Some people might be bored with the archaeological observations--but I LOVED it! If I had come across that ruin, and had it by myself to wander and ponder, I would be absolutely high.
Very nice series from Montenegro, congratulations and thanks. However, it is a pity that it was not enough time to do some more days in the Žabljak region as the mighty Tara River Canyon is nearby (with Đurđevića Tara Bridge as the engineering wonder for nice views on the canyon, also with some rafting and zipline options). Additionally, it is a chair lift in Savin Kuk Ski Center for amazing views of whole Durmitor on the top and, of course, some nice hikes to do to reach higher lakes as it was seen on the map. But overall, the path between Plužine and Žabljak was amazing and weather was good to see some really nice views over the series (both Durmitor and Lovćen National Park). Accursed Mountains also have some amazing sceneries on ther other part of northern Montenegro and even better in Albania (Valbona Valley). Have a nice time in Turkey.
Man, we were 1989 with our Bike in Zabljak, Camped near the Lake...What a time 😀
Black lake is beautiful, but not more so than other beautiful lakes. Zablyak is more about general scenery and stunning mountain peaks.

Each time I rent a car in Europe I get scammed. Recently I picked up a rental in Naples, Italy and they charged my CC an extra €500 days after I returned the car. This is the reason why I can’t wander deep into the countryside in any country because I need a car. I ended up getting that amount refunded on my CC by the bank after I disputed it. I don’t know if my bank actually went after the rental company. This never happened to me in the U.S.
Have you considered renting a car in reliable country in Europe and than driving with it to Italy for example (or another unreliable country). I just had tourist over from Japan who rented a car in Munich,Germany, drove it to Croatia through Prague,Bratislava,Budapest.
@@fotoz2363 I don’t know the definition of a “reliable country”, I’ve rented cars in many countries around Europe and the experience has always been eventful. Customer service is nonexistent. One time the fuel gauge didn’t work and that put me in a stressful situation where I needed to monitor my mileage, but I couldn’t return the car without being charged extra fees. These companies don’t seem to appreciate anyone’s business. Renting a car across the border is not a good idea because it’s always cheaper to fly on budget airlines. I can get a flight from Naples to Budapest for €25. Why would anyone want to drive?!! I only need a car when I want to explore places outside the big city, but the risk is very high so I’m always in a dilemma. One time I rented a car in Barcelona it ended up being a waste of money because I always find myself wasting time in traffic and looking for parking and also being in constant fear of someone stealing it, because car theft is rampant in Spain.
Italian car rental scams are common unfortunately
In Naples ? 😂🤦

5:13 Milk isnt refrigerated in many places in Europe since milk in Europe doesn't need to be refrigerated as it doesn't get spoiled easily, since in Europe, the standard is UHT pasteurization, or ultra-high temperature pasteurization. That involves heating raw milk up to very high temperatures for a few seconds, killing all bacteria.

Will remain a great place for escaping hoards of tourists essentially ruining a lot of Europe. Not nice to sense the feeling of a relationship having ended on bad terms, then having a massive Russian sympathiser next door in Serbia.
