It is even much more picturesque on the top of Zugspitze on a clear day. And the best view on Neuschwanstein Castle is on Marienbrücke, with like 15 minutes hike away from the castle.

Why is Anna even referenced in these videos when she's always hiding in the room "getting ready"?
Probably because many travel vlogs have other people in them:personally I admired Gabriel for not following this trend as did others so I guess that's why Anna is absent from footage
@@angelawhitehead6187 it wasn't that Gabe didn't allow it, it was that she didn't want it. Therefore I was asking why she needed to be referenced at all if she was to be perennially "getting ready" in the room.

Awesome video! I was there October last year, on my way back to Canada from Egypt, i stayed in Munich, Bamberg, Augsburg, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. My favorite area in Germany! I loved the soothing pace after coming from super hectic Egypt.

I wanna say big thank you to Gabriel who always companion me on my listening practice, I've been watching your videos maybe almost a year, and I listened and focused on what you're saying, now even my English is still in low level but i got a new friend from America Tennessee, I can speak with him and understand also everything what he's saying

@@Wander-Go, this video could be much better on some different day and with different travel decisions. On the top of Zugspitze is far more amazing with all views than in the Osterfelderkopf but it must be a sunny day. Linderhof Palace on the way to Füssen is very charming with very nice park and Venus Cave. The Neuschwanstein Castle is surely much more picturesque outside than inside but the best views on the whole castle are on Marienbrücke that is like 15 minutes of hike from the castle (Gabriel didn't know about that, it seems).

About Neuschwanstein castle. Ive read that you can best not go in anyway. Wat makes it so beautiful is the outside and the setting of course. The interior was never fininshed because King Ludwig II unfortunately died before its completion. So its a bit less impressive than you would expect from the amazing facades.

My favorite part of the world! I can totally recommend the Schafkopf hike. Its kind of steep but pretty short and the views up top are amazing. The easiest and safest way to climb an actual mountain! But the town is great as a base for hiking. Very good train and bus connections make sure that you can very easily explore the entire region of Southern Bavaria for very little money. The number of amazing hikes, forests, mountains, castles, cute mountain towns, epic viewpoints and all that is just staggering. You can stay here for weeks and never see the same thing twice. And its surpirisingly affordable especially outside of the wintersport season.
This has felt so rushed since the Greek islands, like you have completey changed your plans for some reason

Gabriel, you can also get a Taxi by calling 22456 or ask restaurant staff (unless its a fast food joint, the pub would have definitely gotten one) or a hotel reception to get one for you

Greetings from Fussen! Fantastic video! Garmisch is so beautiful. Loved the gondola ride and what a fantastic hike back down. You really captured the beauty of the Barvarian Alps. Hoping to go up the Zugspitzer while I am here. Did the Tegelberg today near Fussen. Great you got to see Neuschwanstein castle. Even if you didn’t get to go inside, the outside is beautiful with the surrounding scenery, which your camera work really shows. Safe travels back to the USA. ❤❤❤

I went there in 1991 to go skiing when I was in the Army. I was stationed not far from there outside of Nuremberg. That's were my love for travel and culture started after a bit too much hefe weisen.

I was stationed in Bayreuth 1976+77. Learned to ski in the alps and the army had a military hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I’m going back in September with my godson. Will be there for the start of Oktoberfest. A little disappointed you did not go to the top of the Zugspitze

Hi Gabriel, Quick trip through the German countryside. If not mistaken this is one of the two castles often referred to as the Disney castles the other is in Spain the Alcazar De Segovia. I know you went to China I've just seen videos from Jumping Places who were recently in China it was fascinating in Shanghai and Beijing. That could be the next destination for you to see more of China there are many videos of beautiful trips throughout China.

Curious why you didn’t take the cable car to the top of Zugspitze? Sounded like that was the plan. I want to be sure to get on the right one when I make our trip. Any thoughts on getting over there? So beautiful!
I think it's farther away and we weren't sure how to get there without a car.

Yeah the trains are brutal right now if you try to book last minute. We managed to find some cheap ones and then took a Flix Bus across Germany, which was only $25.

The reason why South Tyrol looks like Austria is because it was until the end of World War I. It is now a semi-autonomous region of Italy, with two languages, and cultures.

I am not German, but I think Partenkirchen is pronounced as "Partenkirhen".
Kirchen means churches.
he pronounces everything according to English spelling rules which are simply awkward and certainly don't apply to foreign names.
For the lifetime of travel that he's done it suprises me that he hasn't taken the effort to learn any other languages - or at the very least do a bit of simple research into basic pronunciations.

having regrets.... i was in Garmisch in 1999, stuood by Eibsee, looking to go up to the Zugspitz, but it seemed to expensive to me back than. It was 50 marks. Still can t get over that stupid decision to save up that money :). But come on Gabriel....sandals? Really? I would ban you to step into the cable car cabin wearing those😵💫
