I just installed these in my 2022 Red Sparrow. There is a very noticeable difference in ride quality.
One NICE feature on 2022 bikes with the new stock 2-1 exhaust... the Factory created a small bend in the up-pipe around the lower right side shock bolt so there is no need to take the exhaust apart to install that shock! Bike needs to be on the ground to install the lower bolt, then back up on the centerstand to install the shock on the upper mounting point.
Thank you, David for all the great install and maintenance videos you guys produce. With service centers lacking in my area, most of the work I do on the bike is DIY and it is great to reference these vids from time to time.

Ok question for you....I have a 2022 and I'm working on installing these now. I'm on the last shock, the one you are talking about here. How did you get your tools in there without removing the pipe? I can't manage to get anything close to get the bolt off. I took the top hardware off the shock and I can't even remove it off the mounting point because it is bumping into the exhaust.

Try and articulate the bike suspension by putting it on the center stand, and then taking it off the stand. Check for clearance each time… it’s been a while but that is what I remember on how to gain access to install the shock. I did not remove the exhaust.

    David,
I wish you would do a video on how to “dial them in” with different load outs, with & without gear!
That would be super helpful !

    Dave,
It’s the holiday season of 2923, and my brother and I both have the same complaints about the stock shocks.
Not only Ami going to install these on my own 2016 Gear Up.
We’ve both been less than happy with the stock shocks, that are as effective as a piece of firewood, and I hope this upgrade makes us as happy as I’m wishing for. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Just got an e-mail for 20% off the cost of these, and I HATE my stock shocks (I compare them to 5 pieces of firewood), so I just ordered them up!

Just new to the Ural and even on city roads, the suspension is garbage. I'm used to high end dirtbike shocks and its a "shock" to experience such poor suspension.

With the new NITRON shocks, it handles beautifully, and is as smooth as a Cadillac.

See if this helps... zerk fittings are covered briefly at the tail end of this video. Not super detailed but it might help. ua-cam.com/video/eHfpTzk8Ef8/v-deo.html

Hi David! You didn't mention if the bottom locknuts are to be discarded or reinstalled. If the built-in threads are sufficient for support? Thank you!

How are these adjustable shocks adjusted? What is the adjustment criteria?

These shocks are no small investment, so I would love some feedback from anyone that has swapped out their stock shocks with these Nitrons!
My rig is a 2016 GU, and I weigh in at 150 lbs. My riding is approx 70% dry driving on the road, and 30% off-road. My off-road stuff so far is strictly solo, but I have about 50 lbs of gear when camping.
I want to know if you’re happy with the conversion, and if it was worth the $2,000+ price tag?
