Putting any kind of grass seed on hard dirt using any type of delivery method has always provided me with...a dirt field. For best results I've always had to prep the dirt, cover the seed one or two inches deep, and water it twice daily. No joke, it works every time regardless of the delivery method.

I've been a landscaper for a few years and I thought this product would be good for rental property lawn repair with some realtors I work with...DEFINITELY NOT!!!..Ssssoooo many problems with this product and I really appreciate you being honest and showing what it does not do. Stick with seed and topper soil you'll be happier in the long run.

Thank you. I was in Vegas once when I was 20 and it was amazing. I love the dry weather and on my last day I won $5k on a dime slot machine. Slots of fun, was the place. Super exciting there, I didn't want to leave! We are expecting a hurricane here tomorrow. I charged up all the ecoflows, might have a live event if we are running on them. We shall see.

This stuff worked great on our lawn. We have hard dirt and all i did was rake up the debris, and just throw handfuls of top soil over it. The top soil didn't even cover the whole area. Then i applied it, and made sure to keep the area damp for at least a week. The bag says water 3 times a day, but really you have to keep it damp. If it's hot and dries out, it's not going to grow. We fenced off two areas at two different times and now we have super nice thick grass in both. I will use this any time i need to grow grass. This stuff is fantastic.

The Hydro is convenient, but the seed composition (the creeping red & ryegrass) along with the starter fertilizer stimulates the growth, but the ultimate test will be time ….. what seed takes, versus what dies away. Good luck with the test!!

Many years ago I picked up a Hydro Mousse and applied it in an area in my backyard where we put in a stone path. The grass has done better than anything else I've ever put in that area. I've tried everything around the area that has quite a bit of shade and nothing has worked. I was actually wondering if Hydro Mousse was still available so I could try it on the area next to where I put it 5 years ago.

Used it myself and WEARING GLOVES is a must as if you get any of the spray on you it stains and won't come off for a week or more. Second, it just didn't work. We have a harder clay soil in our area and even prepping it didn't matter. Nothing grew. A bag of seed and some manure is the best method IMO

So doesn't look good, it works but as you implied probably good maybe for touch upping smaller dead spots. But probably not a product that is good for huge areas. You reviews do save money. Would really love to have a lawn like yours but my physical disability prevents me from doing it just cutting my lawn yesterday took 3 and a half hours and I only did the front yard. It is not even a big yard 😒 still have to do the sides and back.

There wasn't enough of the "green stuff" in the mix. The whole area should've been covered in green. The purpose is to protect the seed from birds etc eating it, to keep the soil moist, and maybe some nutrients but I'm not sure of that. They use hydroseed on the slopes of burn areas. The mix makes sure the seeds stick. Don't know about this product, but have used different type (not sprayed) and it worked

All it is plant food mixed with water and grass seed. You can do it yourself without the pricetag

I used it with a different applicator than the one they sell, never saw the green color. I used the same applicator that i use for foaming to wash car.

What if you used both ?
The hydro seed product but also seed
First put down the regular seed and then use hydro seed on top of that

I mean, just check the amount of seed in that container: How could it possible grow more grass than you get from such a small bag of seeds? I mean, it's enough for this small patch beside the shed, but if it's such a small area in the first place then you can just as well do it manually - and if you have larger areas... youÄll need A LOT more seed.
It can't magically grow more than the amount of seed in the bag.
