World premiere : Disneyland Paris' Phantom Manor theme by John Debney, performed with an orchestra at film music gala "Hollywood in Vienna" (16.10.2015)
This is by far my favourite music from Disneyland Paris! ❤ the orchestra is smooth, the melody is clear and the best part, the experience! Phantom manor is absolutely my #1
I am French, "Phantom Manor" is the European version of "Haunted Mansion", the difference is that the attraction is less funny, more térrifiante, music put forward(advance) the dramatic side of the story line of the attraction.

This score has a similar reference to "The haunted mansion". Even than Mark Mancina composed the score, i like how John Debney pays a homage by creating this score. In this track, i liked how the score begins with an elegant and ghostly scenario, but also surprised how it transcends to a entertainent and funny jazz. If Debney have scored the film, this would have been the result.
+Jose Francisco Arellano Marquez Phantom Manor is actually the darker version of HM. They departed from the fun/scary tone when coming up with it and putting it in Disneyland Paris. But there is a hint to said tone.
my friend, phantom manor was built in 1992 so the score was made before the movie the haunted mansion scored by Mr mancina. but it's still an amazing tribut to the original haunted mansion

The brilliance of the music of Phantom Manor is that it actually has the theme of the Haunted Mansion slightly inthere! You know those notes of the original HM, the ones you hear throughout the entire ride. Phantom Manor very slightly merged that in it's own music, and it's hard to spot because of entirely differend instruments, tone and even ritm. But it's there, very cleverly put. Even Grim Grinning ghosts is a little bit different in PM as in HM, because the PM version uses slight different instruments (ex. something to recreate a skeleton drumming some skulls, which does happen in that scene) and there is a transition from the music of the casket tunnel (right before the singing busts) to grim grinning ghosts which makes the PM version a bit more eerie.
It’s called a musical motif, and the Phantom Manor suite uses the motif from Grim Grinning Ghosts, and in the Ghost Town, just straight up uses Grim Grinning Ghosts.

Funny, I'm going to Disneyland Paris for the first time ever in September and I'm super excited to finally get to experience all the attractions and especially Phantom Manor firsthand, however based on the walkthroughs I watched and the general appearance of the mansion, my favorite is the original so I consider you Americans lucky to have that.
I went on phantom manor last year. although it is my favourite ride, don't get your hopes up too much as they are always taking something out to fix and there's always some effects that are broken or don't work how they're supposed to. Never the less it's still a great ride with an amazing soundtrack
The ride is gonna get a major refurb later this year so stuff like this wont happen no more, it will also receive updated effects and maybe new animatronics
This is so nice to listen! I love Phantom Manor theme and by the way I love the ride too. It's my favorite ride ever! The story is so beautiful, the music magical, the decor awesome well everything is absolutely amazing. Ahh I miss PM so much!
In last years concerts the orchestra also played some music from Disney Paris by Composer Bruce Broughton... Beautiful themes! It´s a shame that these Soundtracks get played in concerts but have not been released properly on CD. Disney should do an compilation Album of the original attraction music.

Having only been to the American Haunted Mansion in Florida, I would LOVE to see a darker take on it as it's my favourite ride.

in fact the phantom manor OST is based on the HM ones, the PM one is supposed to be more dramatic and also romantic
