Evan, I believe you are just the man that can help me. Your videos are the best I have seen. And your willingness to share your knowledge is certainly a gift to us all. Here's my situation. I recently have purchased a 2000 323i. At the same moment & time. that I had finalized the deal on the car. The gal had appearently set the key on the wheel of her water truck, parked beside the BMW. Well in an effort to find the keys, the water was fired up and moved. I think you can see what happened. Yep the key s became apart of the drive way. Of course the transponder smashed they tried there luck at soldering. But no success. This being the only key she has; I have that key which still turns the ignition but no longer starts the car. The instrument panel lights up. Of course no remote functions. So could you program a new key and utilize the key I have. I also have the remains of the electronics from the key. Their attempt to solder the components did the board no justice. I did some research and was about to order the vr90 and another key. When I came across you video. My time would be better spent sticking to what I know and to pay a professional like yourself to do this. As I am prepared to purchase the neccessary tools to attempt this on my own. But I think the same money would be better spent and have a professional like yourself do it. Could you make me a key and what would you need me to send to you if so. The only other option is the dealer which there is not one for mile from where I live. I know your time is valuable and I will pay the going rate , that is not a problem. I feel you may be my quickest solution to this situation. I could have walked away from the deal all together but at the time I had no idea how complicated getting another key could get. So timely! I just had an already programmed E46 key cut today and need to sync it to the car.
For those in the Washington, DC area, Arlington Lock Inc. in Falls Church, VA will cut (but not program or sync) them for $30 (2021 price). The current BMW dealer key price (cut, programmed, and synced) in this area is $225.
I had to call 4 different locksmiths to find one who can cut these keys. Cost me $65 to do it. I'm thinking of buying a cutter since VW and Audi use the same style keys. $65 is robbery.

Hey I try to do it and so far I got the program install and am able to read the key but am having an issue that I can't read the ews am thinking is the cable that read the chip so I order a new one to see if that's the problem cause clean the chip with q blade even sand paper and did everything you said in the video anything that you will think is the problem I will appreciate thanks bro

I can wait about ews delete for my e46 with the m43b19 engine if that is possible in 2018 i use this ak90 as well some thing go wrong when i will tried the car won't start with the keys ista give me a error on dme ews
Helpful tip:
Dunno which EWS your car has and dont feel like pulling the unit?
Plug in and launch ISTA and hover on the EWS on the Unit tree and it will tell you. I was all set to order the EWS 4 adaptor just in case and it turns out my car has EWS3.
It wouldn't tell me just by running the VIN. I had to physically scan the car.
It's a pretty safe assumption that the guy coding his own BMW keys already has the arsenal of diagnostic and coding tools for these cars.

Hi Evan, I have 20year old BMW E46 316i which suddenly stopped starting. I changed the fuses, relays, starter motor, ignition switch, etc. but the engine won’t crank anymore So, I suspect that DME/EWS/Immobilizer has something to do with this no-start/no crank problem. Its VIN is ED42110. How much is the reconfigured unit. Thanks.
I have keys #1 and #5. Number 5 is a valet key.
The other 3 are shown as used. Can I just write over #2,3,4? since I'll never see those keys again?
Also I'm programming a flip key that doesnt have the EML. Will the remote keep custom locking/windows configurations once I set them? I just paired it to the vehicle so it unlocks. My key shipped with a chip that's not any good so I'm waiting for some that are. They are just bits of plastic with no codes printed on them and my AK90 wont read them.
My car currently has no immobilizer module and I’m in the middle of trying to get my 1jz e46 wagon tuned. Please help me…. Either I need a programmed key and immobilizer set for my vin or need a way to overall bypass ews

Great detailed video. I did a lci tail light retrofit on my bmw e60 and the LM2 module but when I tried to coded with ncs expert, after I processed the LMA I pressed the “execute job” by mistake and I think it wrote the LM1 files to the LM2 module. Can this be fixed with ncs expert or I need to flash the module with the correct file? Thank you!
Now I have tail light failure warning and angel eyes stopped working. Everything was working fine before this mistake

Ive had a key cut for my e46 1998, and i had the transponder off my only working key cloned onto the newly cut key.. but it wont start my car, any advice?
It appears that you're using a MacBook with the AK90+, and I've also seen another video where the guy is definitely using a MacBook with it, as I can see MaBook Pro right on his machine. I've been searching for such software, but can only find it for Windows. So, can you direct me to where I can find AK90+ software for Macs, or are you actually ruining Windows on your Mac? You soonest response would really be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Yes put this tool can’t write your vin to ews it will brick it

Hi, when I hold the ews and its cable to connect it to AK90 and I do read ews on the program, my ak90 disconnects from the computer so it is impossible to add a key to it

Hi Evan. Any idea where to download the AK90+ software? I bought an AK90+ from Amazon and it came with a bad CD.
@@afolamiadebayo245 I eventually found a download and with a bit of work was able to make the software run under Windows 10 in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Writing to ews doesn’t usually work with this tool! Just ews Delete your car I can help

So I got an AK90+ on ebay for $30, did the install in a Windows XP virtual machine since I run Linux, pop in my E38 (EWS3) key and got a "No key" error message. Tried with my two dealer keys and just for fun, a Ford transponder key from my Expedition to see if it'd give me a "WTF is this crap" error message. No change, still the same "No Key" error on all of them. Have you encountered this? I have NOT dumped a copy of my EWS yet, thought it best to test everything with a known good key first.

@@EvanGoyuk So I got another one and it read my 01 740i's keys fine. Didn't read the 01 750IL key though, so I grabbed the EWS from the 750IL and followed your video to the letter. For some reason, it won't read the EWS despite holding the connector on firmly. "Pin No Touch" error every time. It is a known working EWS, original to the car and I've carefully gone over each pin 3 times with an xacto knife to remove the conformal coating. Ideas?
EDIT: I figured it out. Had to take a close look at the thumbnail to see what wire was what on both ends. Turns out I had it backwards. Flip it around and it read on the first try. Some cables may have no Indicator Dot like mine did. The heat shrink's text was the dot on mine.
I'm having and issue where it does not give me a "no pin error" but instead simply stays on the "reading od46j(mcu) please wait" screen. If i don't connect my ews at all it gives me a no pin error so I am not sure what is wrong with it.

How could I have you program a key for me?
I have a E60, when it is parked and locked, all windows including the sunroof open by themselves and unlocks the doors. It is very unsafe and makes me nervous when I park my car in the street. Can you or anyone else help with is issue to fix it?
I would think you could use ncs expert and select just the GM5 module then execute SG codieren. When you do that it just writes the default setting on your GM5 module.
IDK but you may have to synch your remote on the key afterwards.

Hi, I bought the AK90 programmer but there is no mark on the connector that touches the contacts on the chip to show which position is the front. Is there any other way to tell the correct way to push it on?

What's the point of this video since 5x other videos say while doors are closed and unlocked you just put key in position 1, remove, press bottom button while pressing middle button 3 times.
Two different ways
@@EvanGoyuk No I think your video is needed for starting only (to save $300/key @ dealer), while the others involving buttons are about how to get remote buttons to work only (easy and not a big deal).
Every key needs two phase programming
1. Programming the immobilizer like shown here
2. Programming the keyless entry(lock and unlock key fob functions)
If you only do the method you mentioned you'll be able to lock and unlock the car but wont be able to Start the car because ypu haven't programmed the immobilizer
