One of my favourite parts from one of my favourite MASH episodes - 'Movie Tonight' (Season 5, Episode 21). No copyright infringement intended - I just want to share this with everyone.
"Oh, Hawkeye and BJ think they're really smart, I'd like to take a scalpel and stab em' in the heart! This is fun! Oh, I don't want no more of army life, gee mom I wanna...*fades off*"
Thinking about it, once Trapper and Henry left they really toned down Hawkeye's nurse chasing as the show took its more serious turn from mostly comedic. He'd flirt with them and such sometimes, but it happened far less often on screen.
It must be hard to play a role like Frank has, because if you do it right you are pretty unliked by the fans and it’s even uncomfortable just watching it.
Bell & Howell Filmosound 16mm projector, 500 series, not introduced until 1961, (Turquoise fiberglass body) and that model looks more like a 540, from 1966.
We sometimes sing this at my Civil War reenactments. Me being the Company clerk I have my own line: Us Clerks in the army, you say we're mighty safe. If such is the case, why am I in the fight?
The priest was WRONG saying if you don’t listen to him you will wind up in “heck” You go to Hell by not asking Jesus to save your soul and getting saved from your sins !

um .. duh .. the entire show was SCRIPTED .. and rehearsed multiple times.. Don''t tell us you thought MASH was filmed live ... from Korea ?? and it was real ??
I mean, aside from BJ and Hawk, it was a series of singles with a chorus that was from existing media. BJ probably was following Hawk's lead. (and following Hawkeye's train of thought ain't hard.)
Nurse Kelly was a very under rated actress, but she was one of the supporting actresses that made the show
Totally agree. I love that they not only "gave" her an episode (Hey, look me over), but also made her actually kick Hawkeye's butt... 😀
@@DragonsAreHungry I really liked that episode. I think Alan Alda wrote it for her.
I agree. She could have added a lot to the show had they developed her character a little more.
And on top of all that, she happens to be cute as hell!
I agree. Wish she would have had more scenes in the series. I always felt she was cute as could be! There was just something about her.
This is from one my favorite episodes and one of the best ones of MASH.
This is one of my favorite episodes, next to Comrades in Arms and the episode where they teach the Koreans English
Every time i hear this song i get really happy for some reason lol
'See if you can guess who this is'
......
'Radar's back'
I like how you actually included Frank’s line in this video. Any other time I’ve seen this song uploaded, it’s left out for whatever reason.
It's left out because they all go back to regular business for a while and then he just blurts it out, so it requires some editing
"Oh, Hawkeye and BJ think they're really smart, I'd like to take a scalpel and stab em' in the heart! This is fun! Oh, I don't want no more of army life, gee mom I wanna...*fades off*"

Oh hawkeye and ol bj not oh hawkeye and bj

I agree with you
I thought it was after Margaret's line that set him off
Hawkeye and B.J.'s verse was more fit for Hawkeye and Trapper (B.J. seldom cheated on his wife).
Yeah, but three episodes earlier BJ kissed one of the nurses, so it's sort of semi-fitting in this case
I don't think BJ ever actually cheated on Peg, although he came close once or twice.
@@mnirwin5112 He nailed nurse Donovan because he's Mr Perfect and all that....
@LogoMan7777 He was sort of subtly shaking his head while he sang, like he's saying "I'm playing along but I don't mean it".

He was my favourite. He did a fantastic job acting out an idiot.
@@chris123-r7c And ironically Larry Lindville was a kind, sweet man and well liked by the cast in real life.
Radar's one was the best cuz its true.
I was so sick of Donald so glad they finally got rid of that dumb idea.
👏👏👏 Well done

INDUBITABLY.
Thanks for ruining MASH!
This is a terrific episode
This is Great ! ❤❤❤
This my favorite episode! ❤😂
That Donald Penobscott stuff got old very quick.

How did they all have the words all ready for an impromptu song
I don't want no more of Katie's place life, gee mom, I wanna go, but they and you wont let me go, gee mom I wanna go home

How did they all know the lyrics? Seems a bit rehearsed.

They're all offended by Klinger's verse.
No, they just want him to focus on fixing the projector.
