Some of your paper cutting issues were due to cutting the paper across the grain vs cutting with the grain of the paper. Cutting with the grain of the paper is much easier. Cutting across the grain on paper requires a very sharp edge and the thinner the better. Most 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper will cut easier the length of the sheet of paper ( with the grain ) and cutting the 8.5" width of the sheet will be harder to get the cut started because your cutting against the grain. Cardboard has a grain structure also. I worked in the printing industry for nearly 40 years so I'm very familiar with the issues of cutting paper and cardboard. Good luck with your testing!
well damn! Does all paper have the same grain pattern? How the heck am I supposed to know which way the grain goes?!? That's just way too much knowledge! 😂 👍
@@BladesOnABudget You can tell the grain direction of a sheet of paper by folding it. Folding the paper the long grain direction will fold easier and straighter than folding against the grain( short grain). You will be able to see and feel the difference in the fold line.
Nice video,I love my Belugas I have a mini version (14c28n takes super keen edge)nice pocket carry. The following is for my new knives :if you use a 1000/400 grit diamond sharpener (amazon ~$20)-use the 1000 to touch up for a while, then later on you may need to go down to 400 grit, then 1000grit ,then strop with leather strop or you can buy 1 micron diamond paste pretty cheap also on a leather strop this is what I use ...you can use this set up on any steel you buy even I have quite a few super steels and this works for me.. PS Amazon also has 2.5"x6'' set of 5 diamond stones (~$20)that I just bought and they work great don't know how long they'll last but so far they are working good.
Thanks for the tip. I have the big Worksharp Pro system so it has all of those diamond stones. I'm making a note of this for when I have to sharpen it. Thanks! 👍
I have the mini Beluga. It has the only convex blade I've seen on a folder. To be clear, V edge on a convex blade. I'm sure there's others out there. Just makes me curious how much you can lay the edge back.
My mini beluga and everyone I've ever sharpened for customers has been a flat grind? What do you mean yours is convex?? So your mini beluga has a convex primary grind you are saying?? I'm really curious on this.
Was it a special model they released in a convex grind?? Mine are all flat ground and I have a black and red gmascus black wash blade mini it's flat ground also. I checked their site and all are listed as flat grinds. Hell I want a convex beluga really bad so I really want to know how you got one!
This is much better content and more meaningful content that gives useful info to the community then the new counterfeit videos that really bring little to the no useful info to the community. If you drop videos like these I will watch and like everyone of them, the counterfeit videos will never get any of my view time and will never get liked or shared by me as I don't support that.
Hey man. I completely respect that opinion and understand why you would take that stance. A lot of people feel the same way, and for good reason. I don't particularly like that the Chinese companies can do that either. But I can't promise that I won't share any more replicas. Either way, you're always welcome here.
The Beluga is a great knife. It’s my beater blade. What a great world we live in where K110 is my jalopy.
LOL. This knife may end up beating everything on the cut tests! 😂 It's really good!
I've got the same one ..! So cool. ^^
I love PF and my beluga.
Me too. Very surprised that these aren't more popular!

Love all my PF knives. Don't have this one in my collection. Nice one
I've got another full review on this one on the channel. Really nice knives. Don't understand why they're not more popular.

@Edcreviewer Yes. It's the black coated blade with black and red G10.

@@Edcreviewer Strike everything I said. I'm a nerf herder. Now I have to figure which knife I was thinking of.
😂 nerf herder? 😂
