Awesome guides. Bought and started playing W3 because of you :) Love streams also. Could you do build orders in the future? WTII's guides are quite outdated.
That's really awesome, I'm glad to hear that! I will definitely look into making build order guides in the future. Although I have to say that I still have quite some other guides planned already and it might still take a while. What exactly would you want out of a build order guide? Rather basic things like build orders for the most frequent openings of a game (for example early ghoul harras/early fiends+late dk, etc) or more detailed ones (explaining the build order throughout the whole game, what to do on tier 2 etc)?
I mean u could do them like you do your guides right now. Basic short version first maybe the cookie cutter build order for teh noobs (Fiends+DK,arch mage into double sanctum fast expo etc. Then second much longer explaining specific counters.
Thank you very much! I was really happy finding some wonderful tutorial video about control groups. I have one question regarding night elves: Do you put the moonwell on a specific control group? Or do you activate auto healing? I mean, it's sometimes good to be able to focus on one specific unit to heal (like a hero or bear). Thanks in advance! And thanks again for your awesome guide! (:
I'm glad you liked it so much, thank you for the feedback! :) As Night Elf I pretty much never activate auto-healing because it tends to spend too much moonwell juice on units that I wouldn't want to spend it on. I usually just right-click the unit I want to heal onto the moonwell or select the moonwell and manually heal by using the hotkey + clicking on the unit. Putting moonwells into a control group actually never crossed my mind. I think it can be quite useful though, definitely worth trying. Elf is my least played race, so I never thought about it all that much...^^ If I can give one piece of advice: find out what works best for you!
@@Syntoren Thank you very much for your response! The right-click move works pretty good! Unfortunately I did it the other way around all the time... that wasn't too practical! But it feels, I might switch the race also... interesting for the beginning... but it turns out after some training humans or orc might be better on long term! :) Btw.: What do you think of the Reforged so far? Always interesting to hear opinions of people who play the game in such a sophisticated way!
@@trannel73 I think you should always feel free to switch races. Much better to start from a lower level of practice and enjoy yourself on the way forward instead of grinding one race you don't enjoy in the long term. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but so far Reforged is an insanely huge disappointment in my opinion. From my point of view it worsened a ton of things and barely improved anything (so far). I loved WC3 TFT to death, but the real TFT died with reforged due to lots of Reforged "features" being implemented in "classic" (e.g. different colours of health/mana bars, different death sounds, tons of bugs, etc.). Also tons of actual features of TFT got removed in Reforged for no reason other than lack of proper game development. Reforged, if anything, heavily decreased my motivation of playing WC3 and following it's scene. It's just sad...
@@Syntoren thank you for your opinion. Different colours of health/mana bars, different death sounds, tons of bugs, etc. sound like solid reasons to criticise the release. To be honest I am not really a fan of this "Campaign is not improved" or "Cinematic scenes are just changed to high res" feedback and I'm mad about all the hate from people who are not really into the old WC3 game... Some people or even the GameOne feedback video pointed out, that control groups should have have more than 12 units, which is just ridiculous in my opinion. But the missing ladder, colour issues and other problems are solid ground for patches, which hopefully come soon! Fingers crossed!
Thnaks for taking time make this video, tremendous help! Question: what's the best way to manage double production building for different actions? Example: As Human, you often have two sanctuaries and have both of them in control-4. How's micro like if you want one of them make a priest and one of them do an priest upgrade. Or one make priest one make sorceress?
That's a good question. I actually found no good way to do that, since both sanctums always produce for example a priest when you click on the priest. I guess you could group both sanctums in different groups to circumvent that. I just select each sanctum individually when I want to produce different units/upgrades. So I select the control group, then choose one sanctum or take a quick look at base and just select each sanctum like that.
Unfortunately not, rotating through with TAB is the only option. This is the reason why I sometimes group specific buildings in a separate group. What I also use a lot is that I, for example, don't include my Barracks in my Group when I only use 2 Arcane Sanctum and don't use the barracks anymore.
Can u make english subbed version on hotkeys.Since my first language is not english. It is hard to catch u up.With sub titles people will understand more too. Anyway Great guide.
Thank you for the suggestion. I actually like that idea. I could also write a guide instead actually. The problem with all of that just is that I currently don't have the spare time to do all that. There's a LOT of guides and such to create in the Warcraft III scene since there aren't many. I did add subtitles/written guides to my list though. Who knows, maybe I'll get to it at some point in the future.
@@Syntoren 2 Years later and this video is still kind of relevant (now that wc3 reforge is right around the corner) About the subtitle idea, if you allow "translation" to the video, we (viewers) can do the translation for you. Google "Turn on & manage community contributions"

Sure I can, I will add that to my list. I'll still quickly explain it here: I assume that you already have a customkeys.txt file which is used to change your hotkeys. If not, you can download it via the link in my stream description or by typing !customkeys in my stream chat. That way you can download so called grid hotkeys. Inserting them is rather simple: You just need to put the customkeys.txt file into your Warcraft 3 folder and in the ingame options activate custom keybindings. That is basically it. If anything is still unclear feel free to ask.
There's no way to give units a move command without selecting them first. You can use shift to line up multiple commands or use rally points to make it look like they are moving without having been selected. If this doesn't answer your question feel free to post a link to what you mean.
Sweeeeet very happy to find this and will look for part 1!
This helped me in Reforged. Thanks
Woooow dude, this is so invormative :D thanks!
Beside the tips, which are very helpful, I find your voice very relaxing!
