See this as a stepping stone to FPV. 1. Buy a sim like Uncrashed. 2. Buy a camera drone and a dronemask. If you still like it after a while spend the money on a digital FPV drone and goggles like an Avata or a cinewhoop.
I used to love flying with a set of BT Movarios glasses before they started to lag too much. Would I be able to use this with the new RC2 controller or does it not have a second output for a phone / iPhone?
You’d need to get the RC-N2, that’s what’s tricky with drones mixing different controller, viewing options
Does the screen looks bigger than in a DJI google?
I am surprised you dint mention any negatives, as there are negatives (I did purchase it as well).
yes, it does allow FPV through DJI FLY app, and its better than using your phone.
But there are a few negatives.
It feels front heavy, as its long and then when you have the phone in the front, it does feel front heavy. You could probably fly for 15-20 minutes max, before feeling really uncomfortable though.
Also, due to the zoom lenses inside, the picture seems almost too big. Its OK to stare in the middle of the screen, but its hard to move your eyes towards the edges due to the size of the screen that's just way too close to you given its size.
The opening ports for your fingers (allowing you to access your phone with your fingers from the outside of the drone mask) do allow light leak, as they sometimes don't shut back fully (fabric doesn't get pulled back where it was) and there is no way to force it from the outside via some pulling mechanism to pull it back into its original position.
But if above are just minor things to you and you can live with it, the dronemask is definitely MUCH BETTER than staring at the phone in the sun and all its glare and reflection..:-)
I have mentioned reasons why not to buy at the end of the video. Maybe slightly different to your valid points. I also mention how it’s hard to reach certain buttons in the middle and the top right. Thanks for the feedback anyway
@@Ian.A.Anderson I wonder, if the DJI Googles 2 would be a better fit for the Mini 3 Pro, now that its all compatible through O3. They are small, higher resolution etc, but they they are expensive. But still, the small size and light weight might be perfect for the Mini 3 Pro. Have you tried those DJI Goggles together with the Mini 3 Pro by a chance? if yes, it would be great to make a video about it, I am sure people would be interested in hearing about your experience about it. Thx
Nice to meet you. Bro. Good explanations and continued reviews are great.
Thanks a lot
Looks strange but is certainly fun 🤩 great presentation 💪🏻🙋♂
Yeah I wouldn’t want to wear it around London😂
@@Ian.A.Anderson A place to sleep for the night would be safe for you 🤪
My drone mini3 pro can't connect with cable from Dronemask 2, what is the problem? It's just charging my phone from controller and that all
It connects the same as the cable from DJI, just longer- check the start of the video unboxing section
The cable worked for me with an old phone, but when I changed the phone to a more powerful one, I stopped showing the picture, the cable itself works, but when connected, it just charges the phone, but does not transmit the picture
Thank you so much for a great review, Ian!
