I apologize, Billy Back is actually the head coach of the Tucson Sugar Skulls.
And following the retirement of Kurtis Riggs, the new head coach for Sioux Falls is Andre Fields.
Just subscribed, I didn't know any arena football leagues existed anymore, you don't hear anything about it anymore,so good to see they're still around! I like Billy Back because he was the coach of the Nashville Venom of the former PIFL. Love for Nashville to get a team again, whether it's the Venom or the Kats from back in the day!
@@aebking thank you and I am glad you enjoy the content! Yeah Back has been around a minute, and has had a fantastic career.
Also I may have good news for you, the Nashville Kats are back in the new AFL league.
@@ArenaFootballNation That's awesome! I'm about to look it up now! The 2 years the Venom existed I never missed a game, perfect attendance lol....I never got to attend a Kats game during either tenure. Guess I'll have to record the Showboats games if they play at the same time lol
Also, Kurtis Riggs retired after the championship game, and the new head coach for Sioux Falls is Andre Fields
@@kingmo8789 thank you for the corrections. I apologize for the mistake. That’s the last time I rush a video. 😅
Oh cool the barm starmers are still alive the old Kurt Warner team
I would argue that the Bay Area Panthers are actually one of the longest running historical franchises in the league. They're basically the San Jose Sabercats rebranded for a move to a new league. They play in the same arena and have the same head coach as the old San Jose Sabercats. They've even rekindled their archrivalry with the Arizona Rattlers.
The only problem I have with the Panthers is the Horrible ugly Black Turf and the look of the product on TV . But they are a great team .
Love that IFL season is 19 weeks.
Frisco has always fielded a competitive team, but they never can seem to get over the hump in the playoffs (insert Jerr-uh Jones joke here; The Star, which is the Cowboys team headquarters, is about a mile up Gaylord Parkway from where the Fighters play their home games, Comerica Center). Also, you nailed the pronunciation of Tsongas Arena in Lowell (I grew up 20 minutes from Lowell in Nashua, NH, so we were quite familiar with the arena's namesake, former US Senator Paul Tsongas). And, the Rattlers have as loyal of a fanbase as there is in arena football; their fans travel quite well (or they have a lot of transplanted Arizonans living in North Texas).
I am looking forward to watching the IFL, this season.
Yeah it should be a great season! Can’t wait to provide coverage for it.
Would love a Salary Cap comparison video for all the leagues you have covered! After the UFL lowering Qb compensation this year to 55k, some Arena leagues are more competitive with pay.
Got my season ticket for the Bay Area Panthers!! Hope they go to the Championship again this year, but I hope to get tickets to the big game in Vegas again no matter who is playing.
They revamped the team to compete for sure! Happy to hear you have season tickets, and man what an experience to attend the IFL championship in Vegas! Panthers or not, it should be a great time!
If the UFL fails this year - I think Fox and ESPN will dive into the Indoor Football league in 2025 . The Sky is the limit for indoor football . It’s the Gamblers Dream and with the right production , it can look Fabulous on Television.
Pulling for San Antonio!!
And happy and excited for Jacksonville!
Remember watching em when they were in the AFL!
Guns up!
And back in the good o’l days! There was some really good games back in the AFL. Glad I was able to watch them live. Excited to see them play in the IFL!
At one point in time there was a stick of bamboo inside one the basketball hoops stored in the back rooms of Wells Fargo arena where the Iowa Barnstormers play.
Random interesting fact. I’ll take it. 😂
Did you remove it?
Brady from Overtime/Underdog! Keep up the vids my dude!
Appreciate it brother! Really enjoy your content as well. We should do some collabs in the future!
@@ArenaFootballNation not opposed to that
This season is going to be exciting for the IFL.
Agreed! Can’t wait to see all of these exciting matchups.
@ArenaFootballNation also I hope the Bismark Bucks can come back.
@@kingmo8789 I agree. Great franchise and fans. I feel for them.
I used to go to every Sabercats game from 2005-2010 glad the Panthers are here to keep on the legacy
I miss the sabercats very much so I know how you must feel as a die hard fan. Maybe they could have a throwback night or something in the future.
@ArenaFootballNation I'm 22 now but I have a bunch of pictures of me and Mark Grieb lmao
All the ifl needs is a good tv deal
Bay Area Panthers near Sacramento
How about an in depth look at each team and it's history? I'm a Sharks fan and only recognize a few of these teams.
Great idea! Next series in the works. 👍🏼
Who Is The Frisco Fighters Head Coach?
🦈🦈🦈
IFL needs more east coasts teams
Agreed! With them officially getting Jacksonville along with Mass, I think it’s only a matter of time now.
1st time going to a game, where about s is the best place to sit?
Honestly, there’s not a bad seat in the house at Arena/Indoor games. I’ve sat at many different seats and levels and it’s always a great time.
Back is in Tucson tho
Thanks for keeping me straight. I apologize. I totally overlooked that development.
With the merger with the four XL f l teams that's going to be part of the United Football League on one if they're going to have some XFL rules to go along
Does the IFL still have a partnership with the UFL?
As far as I understand it, they still have the partnership with the now, UFL.
Nothing has been announced or said otherwise.
The Florida team better have a huge travel budget. They are in the 😊middle of no where. When talking distance to your opponents. Why even put a franchise there? Instead of closer to the other teams.
How do you think Mass managed to stay afloat these past few years? I mean, it’s a legitimate question, but I think the league budgets and plans for these things. At least you would think they do before they accept someone like Jax into the league. 😅
St st Louis have a team
Unfortunately not yet. But hopefully they will one day! I think it would be a solid market for Indoor/arena football.
Would love to see a 48 team playoffs with the teams from IFL, UFL, CFL, preseason roster NFL team like the Washington FT, Notre Dame, Army, Navy, the CFB DIV ll, and lll champs, the Celebration bowl winner, and the Fan Football League champs with the ability to make a 53 man roster from other FFL teams, and play the tournament in the NFL Europe stadium. All fans want to see this.
No team representing the metro N.Y./N.J.? What a pisser.☹
Yeah unfortunate, but maybe in the future!
As of now though, the Philadelphia Soul will play three home games in Trenton NJ.
